CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING | 2DC1307 8:49:00 2403260000681 R/O observed the Suspects who chanted, and sat down in the area of the Northeast Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspects were arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER | DCC 50DC2201.05BB1 | DCC 50DC2201.05BB2 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL ENTRY | DCC 22DC3302 FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | DCMR 18DCMR2000.2 13:57:00 240326000686 R/O observed an unoccupied vehicle, in which he had prior knowledge the vehicle was related to a felony, in the 900 Block of First Street SE. A WALES/NCIC confirmed the vehicle was wanted. While conducting the investigation, R/O observed a Suspect entered the vehicle and drove off. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 900 Block of I Street SE. As R/O and A/O approached the vehicle, the Suspect exited the vehicle and fled. R/O ordered the Suspect to stop running. The Suspect ignored the command, and ran into a residential building in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A canvass for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS, and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Detectives, were notified, and will continue to investigate.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | DCC 50DC2201.05(A) 10:55:00 240326000682 R/O responded for the report of a traffic accident in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. The Complainant reported to R/O they were inside of their vehicle when the Suspects vehicle struck their car, and fled northbound on Second Street SW. A canvass of the immediate area was met with negative results. CSS responded, and processed the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 22:30:00 240323000667 R/O observed a vehicle that travelled eastbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. The Suspect drove through a solid red signal at the intersection of First Street and Columbus Circle NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. Upon approach, R/O spoke with the Suspect, and observed that the Suspect had watery and bloodshot eyes, and that a faint odor of alcohol emanated from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
FAILURE TO APPEAR (USAO) + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSSESION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER (POCA) 20:27:00 240324000670 R/O observed an individual with an open container of alcohol in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | DCC 25DC1001(A)(2)(D) 1:46:00 240324000668 R/O observed a vehicle driven at a speed higher than the speed limit as it travelled southbound in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. The Suspect vehicle made a right against a red turn arrow from North Capitol Street onto Louisiana Avenue NW. The Suspect vehicle then committed multiple traffic violations as it travelled onto Louisiana and Constitution Avenues NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O spoke with the Suspect, and observed that the Suspect's eyes were glassy and bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. During a subsequent inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, multiple open containers of alcoholic beverages were found strewn about the front passenger compartments.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 1:32:00 240324000669 R/O observed a vehicle with heavy window tint, and with no tag displayed, as it travelled at a high rate of speed, eastbound in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O then observed the Suspect vehicle make additional traffic infractions as it continued southbound onto Third Street SW. The Suspect vehicle then turned back onto Independence Avenue SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SE. A/O noticed the Suspect had bloodshot eyes. A/O also smelled a strong odor of alcohol which emanated from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES | USC 40USC05104 3:41:00 240323000663 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red light at the intersection of First and D Streets NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and D Street NE. Upon approach, R/O smelled a strong odor of marijuana, and observed the driver had glassy eyes. A/O also noticed a moderate odor of alcohol on the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O located a firearm in the drivers seat back pocket. A WALES/NCIC search revealed that the Suspect had a license carry permit for the District of Columbia. CSS responded, and processed the scene.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 10:10:00 230322000653 R/O responded to the hallway outside a room in a House Office Building for a report of a sign that had been destroyed. The Complainant stated that a sign had been ripped off the wall and destroyed.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, INCOMMODING (M) 14:43:00 240321000644 R/O responded to the Rotunda of a Senate Office Building for the report of an active demonstration. R/O observed multiple individuals holding signs and chanting loudly in the Rotunda. The Suspects were given warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activities but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
