TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT AND RUN 20:59:00 240319000625 R/O was flagged down for the report of a traffic accident at the intersection of First and D Streets NE. The Complainant reported a vehicle sideswiped them and fled the scene, headed westbound in the 100 Block of D Street NE. A search for the Suspect's vehicle was met with negative results. CIS was notified.
NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | DCC 25 DC1001 (A)(2)(D) 18:37:00 240319000623 R/O responded for the report of a traffic accident in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect in the striking vehicle revealed a suspended Virginia operators permit, and no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to HQ, and processed. During an inventory search of the vehicle A/O observed an open bottle containing liquid with a smell consistent with an alcohol beverage.
NO PERMIT + POSSESS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 11:14:00 240318000603 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed expired tags, and travelled westbound in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of Suspect 1 revealed a revoked Virginia permit, and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. Suspect 1 was placed under arrest. During a search of Suspect 1, R/O discovered a reddish colored baggie that contained a white rock. After the discovery of possible drugs, Suspect 2 was removed from the vehicle. A search of Suspect 2 revealed an additional small reddish colored baggie which contained white rocks. CSS responded, and processed the scene. HMRT tested the contents which came back positive for cocaine, and fentanyl. Suspect 2 was also placed under arrest. The Suspects were transported to HQ and processed. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 3:12:00 240318000598 R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NE. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ, and processed.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 18:48:00 240317000596 R/O responded for a destruction of property report in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. Upon arrival, the Complainant, and several Witnesses, stated that an individual threw bricks at the door of a residence. As a result of the bricks being thrown, visible marks were left on the Complainant's door. An area canvass yielded an individual who matched the description; said individual was stopped, and positively identified by the Complainant and Witnesses. The Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ, and processed. CSS responded, and processed the scene.
SIMPLE ASSAULT + RESISTING ARREST ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD 13:30:00 240317000593 R/O responded to a report of a disorderly individual in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated they were struck with a branch by the Suspect, which was corroborated by a Witness. As the Suspect was being placed under arrest, they kicked and spit at the Officers. While being processed at HQ the Suspect stated they would kill the Officer with a pistol. CSS responded, and processed the scene.
FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING 1:39:00 240317000590 R/O observed a vehicle rapidly accelerate through the red traffic light at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and E Street SE. The vehicle then drove on the wrong side of the road and proceeded through several more red traffic lights. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of South Capitol Street SW; however the vehicle drove through additional red traffic lights before it stopped in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street SW. When R/O and A/O approached the vehicle, and issued verbal commands for the Suspect to place the vehicle in park, the Suspect fled southbound at a high rate of speed, and could not be located. A WALES/NCIC check was conducted on the registered owner of the vehicle; R/O was able to positively identify the Suspect based on the return information. CID was notified, and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 13:02:00 240316000587 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag that travelled in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of C Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Maryland permit, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ, and processed.
FAILURE TO APPEAR (USAO) | DCC 23DC703 + RESISTING ARREST | DCC 22DC405.01 FAILURE TO OBEY OFFICER | DCMR 18DCMR2000 2 2:46:00 240316000585 R/O observed an individual yelling and screaming at the corner of North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. R/O and A/O approached the Suspect. R/O had prior knowledge the Suspect had an outstanding warrant. A WALES/NCIC inquiry confirmed the warrant. As R/O and A/O attempted to apprehend the Suspect, the Suspect fled to the Unit Block of F Street NW. The Suspect physically resisted and disobeyed R/O's verbal commands to stop struggling, The Suspect was eventually placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | DCC 50DC2206.11 2:39:00 240315000584 R/O observed an individual asleep behind the wheel of their vehicle in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O conducted a welfare check at the same location. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed the individual had slurred speech. SFST's were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
