TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02:03:00 220213000198 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: NO PERMIT; MISUSE OF TAGS R/O observed a vehicle with Texas temporary tags traveling at a high rate of speed in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of D Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC revealed an expired District of Columbia driver's license with no status in Virginia or Maryland. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 22:29:00 220213000200 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the Third Street Tunnel without its headlights on, and making an improper lane change. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of H Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired California license with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD 20:11:00 220214000204 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Constitution Avenue, NW, displaying a covered rear tag. R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 200 block of Constitution Avenue, NW, but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle fled, several traffic violations were observed before the vehicle struck a curb, and came to a stop in the 300 block of Constitution Avenue, NW. The Suspect was observed, by Witnesses, fleeing on foot from the vehicle. When R/O approached the vehicle, he observed no occupants inside and put out a flash lookout for the Suspect based on Witness descriptions. While conducting a preliminary investigation, R/O was approached by the Suspect who confessed to being the driver. CSS responded and processed the scene. During the search incident to arrest, a firearm with a large capacity, fully-loaded ammunition feeding device with 13 rounds, and one in the chamber, was recovered in the bushes on the west side entrance of 333 Constitution Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the recovered firearm revealed the weapon was not registered. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 04:14:00 220216000208 R/O observed a vehicle pass through the solid red signal at North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue, NW, at a high rate of speed, striking multiple vehicles. A traffic stop was conducted at North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue, NW. Upon approach, the Suspect spoke incoherently and exhibited signs of intoxication. R/O observed a partially lit joint on the passenger seat. SFSTs were unable to be administered, however due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (DCMR) 16:02:00 220217000217 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION - MISDEMEANOR; UNREGISTERED FIREARM - MISDEMEANOR; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE; CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, displaying a faded Maryland temporary tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Washington Avenue, SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed an expired registration. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. R/O conducted a search of the Suspect and discovered a handgun in the Suspect's waistband, and a magazine was removed from the Suspect's front pocket. A WALES/NCIC check of the recovered firearm revealed the weapon was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. During the search of the Suspect in processing, a black pouch containing multiple rocks was discovered in the Suspect's sock. A field test determined them to be Methamphetamine and Accentamine mixed with OxyContin.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 03:49:00 220219000223 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA); TRAFFIC - PERMIT- NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the unit block of E Street, NE, with a broken rear passenger-side tail light. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the unit block of E Street, NW. While talking to the Suspect, R/O noticed an open container of alcohol in the center console of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended through Virginia, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 04:23:00 220219000225 While on routine patrol, R/O observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations near South Capitol and I Streets, SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of K Street, SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:46:00 220222000232 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE; TRAFFIC-UNREGISTERED VEHICLE; TRAFFIC-FICTITIOUS TAG R/O observed a Subject operating a vehicle in the 200 block of Third Street, NW. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the same location, and noticed the temporary tags appeared to be counterfeit. A WALES/NCIC check revealed no registration on file for the vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of alcohol and marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol on the Suspect's floorboard.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 12:31:00 220223000238 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red signal at the intersection of First and D Streets, NW. A traffic stop was conducted inside of the Third Street Tunnel. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 15:17:00 220224000244 R/O observed a vehicle displaying expired tags while traveling northbound in the 200 block of Third Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tags confirmed they were expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Third Street, SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's identification revealed his Maryland driver's permit was suspended with no status in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
