CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 09/27/2023 10:30am 230927002242 R/O-1 and A/O responded to the third floor of the Rayburn House Office Building for the report of a demonstration in a prohibited area. Upon arrival, the R/Os found multiple Suspects chanting, yelling, and blocking the hallway. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to do so. Fourteen Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 09/26/2023 10:20am 230926002229 R/O responded to the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW for the report of a vehicle break in. Upon arrival, the Complainant advised R/O, they parked their vehicle with no damage and when they returned to the vehicle, the right rear passenger window of the vehicle was broken. R/O conducted a search of the area which was met with negative results. A/O responded and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2 09/25/2023 8:22pm 230925002218 R/O while on patrol received an LPR alert on a stolen vehicle in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street SW. R/O observed the vehicle matching that description at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Potomac Avenue. A WALES/NCIC check was conducted in which confirmed the vehicle was stolen. A traffic stop was initiated in the same location. While R/O attempted to approach the vehicle, the Suspect fled southbound on Suitland Parkway. A canvas of the area was met with negative results.
UUV - FELONY. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERY - $1000 OR MORE -FELONY TRAFFIC - PERMIT- NO VALID TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS. 09/24/2023 8:05pm 230924002213 R/O observed a vehicle operating without headlights in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. R/O conducted a VIN check through USCP Communications which came back stolen out of Prince George's County, Maryland. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 09/23/2023 6:50pm 230923002212 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a moderately high rate of speed in the area of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. R/O observed a possible dispute between the occupants of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of First Street NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O observed the driver's eyes were glassy and watery, and detected a moderately strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II-FROM OFFICE 09/22/2023 6:00am 230922002201 R/O responded to the Detail Office of the U.S. Capitol Building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated to R/O, an unknown Suspect stole their work phone, iPhone, and charger from their desk. The Complainant last saw the items three months ago before leaving work. When the Complainant returned to work on September 18, 2023, they realized the items were missing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 09/21/2023 7:48am 230921002186 R/O responded to the Rayburn House Office Building for a call of an unwanted guest. R/O located the Suspect outside of the Rayburn House Office Building. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a confirmed warrant out of Fairfax County, VA. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS. 09/21/2023 11:02am 230921002193 R/O observed the Suspect operating a vehicle in the 200 Block of E Street NW. R/O had prior knowledge the Suspect did not possess a valid operator's permit. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/ NCIC check confirmed the Suspect did not have no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia and the tag belonged to another vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 09/21/2023 7:59pm 230922002198 R/O observed a vehicle rapidly accelerating through the intersection of Second and D Streets NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed signs of impairment and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
RESISTING ARREST. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID. 09/20/2023 1:14pm 230920002179 R/O responded to the intersection of Second and C Streets SW for the report of a traffic accident. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. While being placed under arrest, the Suspect clenched his fist and straightened his arms. R/O attempted to twist the Suspect's arm behind his back, however, he pulled both hands into his chest area while yelling. Once calm, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
