CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY 00:38:00 220821001268 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2; TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS; UNREG AMMO - MISD R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the unit block of Canal Street, SE. R/O attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 200 block of Independence Avenue, SW. The vehicle stopped at the intersection of Third Street and Maryland Avenue, SW, and R/O attempted to approach the vehicle. The vehicle continued northbound on Third Street. R/O successfully conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Third Street, NW. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect. R/O also observed a pistol inside the center console of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing where SFSTs were conducted. CSS responded and processed the scene.
RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD 20:11:00 220214000204 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Constitution Avenue, NW, displaying a covered rear tag. R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 200 block of Constitution Avenue, NW, but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle fled, several traffic violations were observed before the vehicle struck a curb, and came to a stop in the 300 block of Constitution Avenue, NW. The Suspect was observed, by Witnesses, fleeing on foot from the vehicle. When R/O approached the vehicle, he observed no occupants inside and put out a flash lookout for the Suspect based on Witness descriptions. While conducting a preliminary investigation, R/O was approached by the Suspect who confessed to being the driver. CSS responded and processed the scene. During the search incident to arrest, a firearm with a large capacity, fully-loaded ammunition feeding device with 13 rounds, and one in the chamber, was recovered in the bushes on the west side entrance of 333 Constitution Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the recovered firearm revealed the weapon was not registered. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 23:50:00 220322000367 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FLEENG A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING; POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound in the 500 block of Second Street, NW. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle, which revealed an expired status. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed no permit status in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. While attempting to effect the arrest, the Suspect fled the scene on foot. The Suspect was apprehended in the 400 block of Ridge Road, NW. R/O-2 discovered a white, powder substance during a search of the Suspect, which tested positive for Cocaine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ADW - BLADED WEAPON 16:20:00 220628000938 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE R/O responded to the 600 block of First Street, NE, for a report of a man with a knife. The Complainant approached GPO Police Officers and stated the Suspect attempted to stab him and his family members. The Suspect was observed fleeing northbound into the 400 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. The Suspect was detained in the same location. During a pat down, a folded knife was discovered in the Suspect's pocket. A show-up was conducted and yielded a positive identification. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed an active warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CRUELTY TO CHILDREN - MISD 19:37:00 220308000312 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE R/O observed a vehicle parked in the unit block of H Street, NW, matching the description of a vehicle wanted in reference to a missing person. The vehicle hit on an LPR a few days earlier. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the owner was subject to an active extraditable warrant for kidnapping. While conducting a preliminary investigation, R/O observed the Suspect approaching the vehicle with a small child. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect to be the owner of the vehicle. USCP Communications confirmed the warrant and the identity of the child. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01:30:00 221017001598 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA R/O observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic violations at the intersection of Second and D Streets, NW. A traffic stop was conducted at the southbound entrance to Interstate 395 via the Third Street Tunnel. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Houston, Texas. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:17:00 220918001424 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; TRAFFIC - NO VALID PERMIT; FAILURE TO ID SELF R/O observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Independence Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SE. The Suspect provided what appeared to be a fraudulent operator's permit. A WALES/NCIC check did not show a return for the permit. While the Suspect was being placed under arrest, R/O observed a Maryland Identification Card with a different name. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia, and three open warrants out of Prince George's County, Maryland. A/O noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect, along with observing open containers of alcohol inside the Suspect's vehicle. SFTSs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 08:57:00 220330000399 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: LOANING REGISTRATION/MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 500 block of South Capitol Street, SW, pass through a solid red light. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of K Street, SW. Upon approach, the Suspect stated her dealer gave her the tags, and the vehicle was not registered. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags were not registered, and the Suspect had a suspended license in Virginia with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 16:10:00 220330000405 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: LOANING REGISTRATION/MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE, with no expiration date displayed on the tag. R/O conducted a traffic stop at 700 New Jersey Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid license in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Further inspection of the vehicle's tag revealed it was fake. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT -OPERATING AFTER SUSPENSION 07:47:00 220224000242 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: LOANING REGISTRATION; MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SE, at a high rate of speed. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags belonged to a different vehicle, and the Suspect's license was suspended through the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
