TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 04:23:00 220219000225 While on routine patrol, R/O observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations near South Capitol and I Streets, SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of K Street, SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD. ADDITIONAL CHARGE: LEWD, INDECENT, OR OBSCENE ACTS. 20:30:00 230623001471 While on post on the East Front of the United States Capitol Building, R/O observed the Suspect pacing erratically while yelling profanities and using explicit language. The Suspect turned his back to the R/O and exposed himself. The Suspect did not respond to commands from the R/O to stop. The Suspect fled from the Officers and was stopped in the area of First Street and Independence Avenue, SE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. The Suspect had also briefly walked around a stanchion and chain from a public access area into a restricted area that stated "Members Only".
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 00:35:00 220125000109 While on patrol, R/O observed a vehicle with no headlights on traveling eastbound in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of F Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had an extraditable warrant for burglary out of West Manchester Township in York County, Pennsylvania. The warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 02:01:00 220115000054 While on patrol, R/O observed a vehicle in the 400 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags were expired. A traffic stop was initiated in the unit block of C Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a DC identification card with no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CDW - BLADED WEAPON + ADDITONAL CHARGES: UUV - FELONY 22:38:00 230710001609 While on patrol R/O and A/O observed an individual with a knife in the Unit Block of K Street SE. R/O and A/O attempted to stop the Suspect who jumped into a vehicle in the intersection of K and Half Streets SE. A/O obtained the vehicle's license plate from which a WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle was stolen. A canvass of the area was conducted with negative results.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA USCA - POSSESSION (OTHER) 00:18:00 231028002511 While on patrol in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW, R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approaching the vehicle, A/O observed multiple open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered what appeared to be a controlled substance. R/O was notified, responded, and processed the scene.
DISORDERLY, DISRUPTING GATHERING OR CONGREGATION 15:20:00 240311000535 Three R/O observed multiple Suspects holding signs, shouting, and demonstrating during a committee meeting in SH-216 of the Hart Senate Office Building. The Suspects were directed to cease their activity, but they continued to disrupt the proceeding. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
Driving Under Influence-1st Off | DCC 50DC2201.05[B][1] X + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Reckless Driving | DCC 50DC2201.04[B] | USC 36RUSC1004.2a | USC 66SUSC66-8-113 Fleeing A Law Enforcement Officer; Reckless Driving | USC 50DUSC02201.04b Recklessly 03:13:44 230325000584 The United States Capitol Police (USCP) received notification from the District of Columbia Jail, stating they had an inmate in custody with an active arrest warrant initiated by USCP. R/O responded to the District of Columbia Jail at 1901 D St SE, to bring the Suspect to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 09:43:00 230601001237 The Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing responded to a USCP Building to conduct a WALES/NCIC inquiry of an individual seeking employment. The WALES/NCIC revealed the Suspect had a confirmed active extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT I -STOLEN AUTO 18:00:00 231014002385 TAS responded to the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of a stolen congressional fleet vehicle. The Complainant stated that a fleet vehicle was taken without permission on three separate occasions on September 26, 27, and 28, 2023. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
