NO PERMIT + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FAIL TO EXHIBIT LICENSE COUNTERFEIT TAGS 00:39:00 240108000039 R/O observed a vehicle with suspected counterfeit temporary tags in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag returned as not on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. During the stop, the operator of the vehicle was unable to provide R/O with a physical driver's license. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:39:00 220224000241 R/O observed a vehicle matching the description of a lookout traveling westbound in the 200 block of Independence Avenue, SW, stop abruptly in the middle of the intersection. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Independence Avenue, SW. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT -OPERATING AFTER REVOCATION. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD. 00:42:00 230310000439 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Massachusetts Avenue run the red light while making a turn onto Fourth Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted at 300 Fourth Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's District of Columbia license was revoked and the vehicle's tag was stolen out of Tacoma Park, Maryland. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE TRAFFIC -DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. 00:43:00 230401000658 R/O observed a vehicle driving with a flat rear tire and hazard lights on in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was attempted at the same location. The suspect eventually stopped at Second Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Suspect exited the vehicle twice in which R/O gave verbal commands to get back inside the vehicle. The suspect did not comply and immediately began running northbound in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. A/O-1 and A/O-2 entered the alleyway of Third Street NE from Capitol Court to seal off the Suspect's means of escape. Witnesses pointed that the Suspect was running westbound in the 200 Block of F Street NE. Shortly after, an apprehension was made in the same location. R/O could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed two active warrants held by Prince Georges County Sherriff's Office. The warrants were confirmed and the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. SFST's were conducted in the USCP processing area.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 00:44:00 220315000333 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - ALTERED TAGS R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be a counterfeit tag traveling southbound in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tag and Suspect revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle, and the Suspect had an expired District of Columbia permit. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | DCC 50DC2206.11 + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | DCC 25DC1001 00:46:00 240217000356 R/O observed a vehicle driving in the 400 North Capitol Street NW with expired tags. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed tags were expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the Suspect's vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect's speech was rapid and their pupils were dilated. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle revealed an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:46:00 220102000005 R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations from South Capitol and I Streets, SE, to the 500 block of North Capitol Street. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of North Capitol Street. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ASSAULT ON A POLICE/FIRE - FELONY X 3 POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING 00:47:00 230716001655 R/O observed a vehicle, matching an MPD broadcast for an impaired driver, drive through a red traffic signal at the intersection of First and E Streets SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of E Street SE. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O located an open container of liquid consistent with alcohol. Further investigation revealed the Suspect had crashed into a fence at a construction site in the 1200 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. During arrest processing, the Suspect struck an assisting officer, and then bit and punctured skin on the forearms of both R/O and A/O. CSS responded and processed the scene.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RESISTING ARREST U.S. CAPITOL - SLEEP/LIE DOWN, PAVED/IMPROVED AREAS (ANYTIME) 00:48:00 230510001030 R/O observed an individual sleeping on a bench on the Southwest Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O advised the Suspect multiple times that sleeping was not allowed from dusk to dawn. The Suspect did not comply with R/O directions. The Suspect then became physically combative with A/O. R/O and A/O were able to gain control, and placed the Suspect under arrest. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA 00:48:00 231028002512 R/O responded to the area of Washington Avenue and South Capitol Street SW for the report of a single car crash. Upon investigation, R/O was able to confirm that the Suspect lost control of the car while making a left turn, which led to the vehicle colliding with a curb. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed slurred speech and the scent of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a partially empty bottle of an alcoholic beverage. A/O was notified, responded, and processed the scene.
