TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/12/2022 3:56pm 220112000044 R/O observed a vehicle failing to maintain lanes while traveling westbound at the unit block of Columbus Circle, NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY 01/13/2022 4:55pm 220113000051 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; UNREG FIREARM - MISD; ALTERING IDENTIFY MARKS OF A WEAPON; UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION R/O observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel in the unit block of Columbus Circle, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tag revealed a look-out from the Metropolitan Police Department for the vehicle involved in a Simple Assault. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driver's license in the District of Columbia, and a non-extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, Virginia. While conducting an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, a loaded weapon with the serial number scratched off was found in the Suspect's jacket on the rear passenger seat. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 01/13/2022 6:07am 22011300046 R/O observed a vehicle displaying expired tags traveling westbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect's license was expired in Virginia with no valid permit in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 01/15/2022 9:01pm 220115000054 While on patrol, R/O observed a vehicle in the 400 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags were expired. A traffic stop was initiated in the unit block of C Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a DC identification card with no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/15/2022 11:56pm 220115000055 R/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red light at the intersection of Second Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled odors of an alcoholic beverage and marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 01/17/2022 6:34am 220117000058 R/O observed multiple Suspects chanting, standing in the roadway, and blocking the flow of traffic in the eastbound lanes of Constitution Avenue between First and Second Streets, NE. The Suspects were warned to stop and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they refused to do so. Eleven Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 01/18/2022 9:49pm 220118000061 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS R/O, while on routine patrol, conducted a WALES/NCIC check of a vehicle traveling eastbound in the unit block of Columbus Circle, which revealed the tags belonged to another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed the Suspect had a canceled District of Columbia driver's license with no status in Virginia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROSSING POLICE LINE 01/18/2022 6:56am 220118000063 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 R/O observed multiple Suspects cross through a vehicle-only barricade, access a restricted area on the Senate Plaza of the U.S. Capitol East Front, and begin demonstrating. The Suspects also sat on the Senate steps and began chanting loudly and holding a banner. The Suspects were warned to stop and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they refused to do so. Twenty-eight Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on the scene.
UUV - FELONY 01/18/2022 8:15am 220118000064 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE; FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING; LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE; CARRYING PISTOL W/O LICENSE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the unit block of H Street, NE, which he recognized as a vehicle from a BOLO. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was stolen. A traffic stop was attempted at Fourth and G Streets, NE, but the Suspects fled, driving erratically, and eventually becoming involved in a traffic crash causing property damage at Second and East Capitol Streets, SE. The Suspects exited the vehicle, dropping a firearm in the street, continuing to flee on foot. They were taken into custody without incident by the R/O and Assisting Officer. A/O retrieved the firearm from the street, which had a loaded large capacity feeding ammunition device inserted into the magazine well. Both Suspects were transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 01/20/2022 7:01am 220120000077 Multiple officers observed the Suspects chanting, sitting, and blocking the flow of vehicular traffic at the North barricade of the U.S Capitol Building. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they failed to stop. Twenty-eight Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on scene.
