DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312. 01/20/2022 4:26pm 220120000082 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312 R/O observed the Suspect writing with a Sharpie on the wall in front of USCP Headquarters Building. The Suspect began running westbound on D Street, NE, through Lower Senate Park toward Columbus Circle, NE. The Suspect was stopped by multiple USCP units at the intersection of North Capitol Street and E Street, NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a second location was defaced by the Suspect in the 100 block of D Street, NE. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/22/2022 9:56pm 220122000095 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UCSA-POSSESSION OF DRUGS PARAPHENALIA - MISD; ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR; RESISTING ARREST; POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 block of Pennsylvania, SE, commit several traffic infractions before stopping at a green light in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, and sitting through the light cycle. R/O conducted a traffic stop at Independence and New Jersey Avenues, SE. Upon approach, R/O detected odors of marijuana and an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. While trying to place the Suspect under arrest, he became aggressively combative toward the officers. During the search incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was found on the Suspect's person, and an open container of alcohol was found in the vehicle. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/22/2022 11:29pm 220122000096 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red signal at the intersection of Washington Avenue and D Street, SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/23/2022 11:59pm 220123000098 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FAILURE TO APPEAR R/O observed a vehicle sit through multiple green signals while traveling southbound in the 600 block of North Capitol Street, NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of E Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed an active warrant through the District of Columbia. R/O also noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 01/23/2022 7:12am 220123000099 R/O was flagged down at North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue, NE, by the Victim of an assault that occurred in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. Assisting Officers stopped an individual matching the Suspect's description at First Street and Massachusetts Avenue, NE. The Victim positively identified the Suspect, who was then placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 01/24/2022 11:38am 220124000103 R/O was canvassing for an assault Suspect when he observed an individual matching the description in the 500 block of C Street, NE. R/O conducted a stop in the same location without incident. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an active, extraditable warrant through the Delaware County Sheriff's Office. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 01/25/2022 7:35pm 220125000109 While on patrol, R/O observed a vehicle with no headlights on traveling eastbound in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of F Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had an extraditable warrant for burglary out of West Manchester Township in York County, Pennsylvania. The warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/25/2022 10:40pm 220125000110 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 400 block of South Capitol Street, SW, pass through a solid red light in the intersection of South Capitol and D Streets, SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington Avenue and D Street, SE. While talking to the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01/25/2022 6:38am 220125000112 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE, swerve over the solid yellow lines into oncoming traffic. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check, which revealed the vehicle tags were expired and suspended out of Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. R/O also observed that the Suspect's eyes were glassy and he was lethargic. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY 01/25/2022 10:05am 220125000114 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; UNAUTHROIZED USE OF A VEHICLE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF AN UNREGISTERED FIREARM; FELON IN POSSESSION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O responded to an MPD radio dispatch to the 900 block of South Capitol Street, SW, for the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, R/O observed the vehicle stopped in the 1000 block of South Capitol Street, SW, in the southbound lane. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle to be stolen out of the District of Columbia. A successful felony traffic stop was conducted in the same location with the assistance of several USCP and MPD Officers. Once the Suspect was placed in handcuffs, he admitted to having a weapon on his person. During a search incident to arrest, R/O secured the weapon, which had a large capacity magazine, fully loaded, with one round in the chamber. R/O also discovered in the vehicle, a large plastic bag with several smaller baggies all containing a white, rock-like substance, which field-tested positive for cocaine. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS conducted an interview and an NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed he was a convicted felon out of Virginia.
