FAILURE TO OBEY POLICE OFFICER 02/06/2022 9:36pm 220206000163 R/O responded to the unit block of D Street, NE, to provide assistance in reference to a traffic stop. In an attempt to interfere with a DUI investigation of the driver, a passenger in the vehicle became increasingly belligerent, uncooperative, and attempted to step out of the vehicle multiple times. After being advised that the vehicle would be towed, the Suspect attempted to enter the vehicle from the driver's side. The Suspect balled his fists, took an aggressive stance, and yelled in the face of the officers. R/O had to physically prevent the Suspect from entering the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 02/06/2022 12:45pm 220206000165 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 block of Second Street, NE, with an expired front tag and an obstructed rear rag. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Second Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle's tags were expired and came back to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driver's license in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 02/07/2022 10:20am 220207000168 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW, with a temporary tag. R/O initiated a WALES/NCIC inquiry of the tag, which revealed no return. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the Suspect revealed no valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 02/09/2022 6:17am 220209000176 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: PERMIT NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 400 block of C Street, NE, make a right turn from the wrong lane. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of Fifth Street, SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle's tags belonged to a different vehicle, and the Suspect did not have a valid permit in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UCSA - PWID MARIJUANA - FELONY 02/10/2022 8:25am 2202100000185 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS R/O observed a vehicle illegally parked in a Library of Congress permit-only space in the 100 block of East Capitol Street. Upon approach, R/O observed a large amount of a green, leafy substance along with various other drugs next to the Suspect inside of the vehicle. R/O conducted a stop, and a WALES/NCIC check on the Suspect. The check revealed the license plates belonged to a different vehicle, and the Suspect's license was suspended through Florida with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A field test of the green, leafy substance returned positive for THC. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 02/11/2022 9:17am 220211000190 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NE, displaying expired tags. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Capitol Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended through Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the search incident to arrest, R/O discovered several plastic baggies containing a white, powdery substance. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 02/12/2022 7:28pm 220212000192 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SW, failing to maintain its lane. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Virginia with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02/12/2022 12:03am 220212000193 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA R/O observed a vehicle driving on a flat tire in the 400 block of Washington Avenue, SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of South Capitol Street, SW. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the search incident to arrest, R/O observed a cup in the center console that contained a liquid with an odor consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02/12/2022 11:13pm 220212000194 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and no headlights running headed westbound in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE. While talking to the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. The Suspect refused SFTSs, but due to the numerous physical and visual clues of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02/12/2022 4:56pm 220212000197 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Louisiana Avenue, NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcohol beverage emitting from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
