NO PERMIT 17:41:00 240402000000 R/O observed a vehicle with a brake light out as it travelled northbound in the 100 Block of Washington Avenue, SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Third Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's name, via word of mouth, revealed a revoked Virginia permit, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
CARRYING PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE- OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS | DCC 22DC4504A1-Y-1 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL POSSESION OF AMMUNITION | DCC 7DC2506.01(A) | DCC 7DC2506.01 UNLAWFUL POSSESION OF A FIREARM | DCC 22DC4503A1 | USC USCACT16-445SEC223 9:57:00 240401000000 R/O observed an individual place a backpack through the x-ray machine in the Sub-Basement Door of a Library of Congress Building. R/O then observed a weapon inside of the backpack. An administrative search of the backpack confirmed a loaded firearm with 11 rounds of ammunition. An inquiry with the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit confirmed the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia nor did the Suspect hold a license for concealed carry. CSS responded and processed the firearm. CIS interviewed the Suspect before being transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - $1000+ - FELONY 22:25:00 240331000000 R/O responded to 1 Columbus Circle NE for a Destruction of Property report. The Complainants stated that they were conducting an outside patrol of the property when they observed a hole in the south and east sides of a wooden fence. R/O concluded that the Suspect made entry through the south fence and utilized the playground for shelter and then left the location. A search for the Suspect yielded negative results. CIS was notified. CSS responded and processed the scene.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 0:02:00 240330000000 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at an unreasonable speed in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, an open container of alcohol was found in the front passenger seatback pocket.
LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUE OF TEMPORARY TAGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: FAIL TO EXHIBIT PERMIT 22:35:00 240329000000 R/O responded to assist with a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing private, non-government tags in the 200 Block of D Street SE. A/O was unable to get a return on the private tag. During the stop, the Suspect could not provide the A/O with a valid driver's permit. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 13:24:00 240329000000 R/O observed a vehicle with no rear tag displayed traveling in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O observed an expired District of Columbia tag in the rear window of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to a different vehicle, and the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY 8:27:00 240328000000 R/O responded to the Capitol Power Plant for the report of damage to property. Upon arrival, the Complainants advised of a broken lock and two bent bars on the gate, as well as graffiti on the bridge, located in the Unit Block of Virginia Avenue SE. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING | 2DC1307 8:49:00 2403260000681 R/O observed the Suspects who chanted, and sat down in the area of the Northeast Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspects were arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER | DCC 50DC2201.05BB1 | DCC 50DC2201.05BB2 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL ENTRY | DCC 22DC3302 FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | DCMR 18DCMR2000.2 13:57:00 240326000686 R/O observed an unoccupied vehicle, in which he had prior knowledge the vehicle was related to a felony, in the 900 Block of First Street SE. A WALES/NCIC confirmed the vehicle was wanted. While conducting the investigation, R/O observed a Suspect entered the vehicle and drove off. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 900 Block of I Street SE. As R/O and A/O approached the vehicle, the Suspect exited the vehicle and fled. R/O ordered the Suspect to stop running. The Suspect ignored the command, and ran into a residential building in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A canvass for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS, and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Detectives, were notified, and will continue to investigate.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | DCC 50DC2201.05(A) 10:55:00 240326000682 R/O responded for the report of a traffic accident in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. The Complainant reported to R/O they were inside of their vehicle when the Suspects vehicle struck their car, and fled northbound on Second Street SW. A canvass of the immediate area was met with negative results. CSS responded, and processed the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
