CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) 23:25:00 250630002153 R/O observed an individual submit to a voluntary administrative search upon entering the North Screening Facility of the U.S. Capitol Building. During the course of that search, R/O discovered a handgun amongst the person's belongings. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed the firearm was lawfully registered through the District of Columbia but the individual's concealed carry permit recently expired. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was advised of the offense.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS + FELON IN POSS. POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE RECEIVING STOL 17:32 250621002030 R/O observed an individual in Lower Senate Park experiencing medical distress. While rendering aid, R/O observed a firearm in the Suspect's waistband. R/O disarmed the Suspect by removing the firearm from the Suspect's person. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed negative results. The firearm appeared to be a 9mm with a fifteen round magazine, loaded with twelve rounds and one round in the chamber. CSS responded to process the scene and seize the recovered firearm. CIS conducted a query through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit and confirmed the Suspect did not have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. A WALES/NCIC check of the firearm revealed the firearm had been reported stolen out of Prince George's County, Maryland. Additionally, further investigation of Law Enforcement databases revealed the Suspect was a convicted felon as of May 2023. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE 13:36:00 250611001938 R/O was working at the USCP Offsite Delivery Site when an administrative search of the Suspect's vehicle was done by a USCP screener. During the administrative search, a firearm was located in the glovebox of the vehicle. The firearm was observed to be equipped with a fifteen round capacity magazine with a round in the chamber. A query through the District of Columbias Gun Registry Unit confirmed that the Suspect did not have a license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia, however maintains a license to carry in both Maryland and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS conducted a custodial interview. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE 9:38:00 250526001763 R/O observed an individual submit to a voluntary administrative search upon entering a House Office Building. During the course of that search, R/O discovered a handgun loaded with a magazine containing seven (7) rounds of ammunition amongst the person's belongings. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registry Unit revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS were advised of the offense.
CARRY PISTOL W/O LIC - OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS + DUI - 1ST OFF CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL W/ IMPAIRED POSS. OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF PROHIB. WEAPON POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAW. POSS. OF FIREAR 02:39:00 250427001318 R/O observed a vehicle stopped just south of the Third Street Tunnel on Interstate 395 South. Due to the vehicle's location, R/O initiated a welfare check. Upon approach, R/O discovered an unconscious individual in the driver's seat of the vehicle. R/O also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. Upon observing the grip of a handgun in the vehicle's center console, R/O directed all occupants to exit the vehicle. The individual found in the driver's seat stated the firearm belonged to them, and they had a concealed carry permit issued through Maryland but not the District of Columbia. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters. Once at Headquarters, the Suspect was subjected to a battery of SFSTs, which revealed multiple signs of impairment. CSS responded to the vehicle and recovered the following items while conducting an inventory search: one (1) unloaded .40 caliber handgun, two (2) 10-round .40 caliber magazines, twenty-three (23) rounds of .40 caliber ammunition, two (2) 12 gauge shotgun shells, one (1) 12 gauge drum magazine, and a pair of metal knuckles. CIS was contacted and verified through the Metropolitan Police Department's gun registry that the Suspect had neither a firearm registered nor a license to carry in the District of Columbia.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (CPWL) + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM 8:38:00 250419001227 R/O while on post at South Screening of the Capitol Visitors Center, was approached by the Suspect who stated that they were carrying a firearm. A stop was conducted at this location. A/O arrived on scene, detained the Suspect, and recovered a firearm from an ankle holster on the Suspect's left ankle. The firearm was equipped with a six round capacity magazine. The magazine contained six rounds of .380 ammunition, with zero rounds in the chamber. A check through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. CSS processed the scene. The Suspect arrested - transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS conducted a custodial interview.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + UNLAWFUL ACTIVITES, POSS OF UNREG FIREARM, POSS OF UNREG AMMUNITION 18:21:00 250331000970 R/Os were approached by an individual at the screening site prior to the Senate Chamber of the U.S. Capitol Building who stated that they were armed and did not want to proceed through screening. Upon further investigation, it was found that the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a pistol in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. A .40 caliber handgun loaded with a 7-round magazine and 1 round in the chamber and a second magazine loaded with 7-rounds were recovered from the Suspect. CIS responded to HQ and conducted an interview of the Suspect.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARMS/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMUNITION POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE NO PERMIT POSS. OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 16:28 250329000941 R/O observed a vehicle missing its front tag in the Unit Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle revealed a suspended registration out of Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a suspended permit out of Florida with no driver status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. R/O observed a red solo cup in the passenger side of the vehicle with an odor consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage. R/O asked the Suspect if there were any firearms in the vehicle and the Suspect responded in the affirmative. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene and found an open container of alcohol on the rear floorboard. CIS conducted a custodial interview, and confirmed through MPDs Gun Registration Unit the Suspect did not have a carry permit in the District of Columbia. The located firearm was confirmed to have a 17 round capacity magazine with 14 9mm rounds inside and one round in the chamber.
POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON - OTHER (x2) 23:54:00 250328000912 R/O observed an individual that appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. While attempting to wake the driver, R/O observed what appeared to be a revolver tucked in the area of the center console. R/O secured the driver and requested CSS process the scene. A search of the vehicle revealed two loaded BB guns charged with CO2 cartridges along with 13 additional CO2 cartridges and a bottle of approximately 6000 BB pellets. When questioned about the weapons, the driver stated they were intended for self-defense. Suspect arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE 8:12:00 250312000702 R/O while working a door of the Capitol Building, performed an administrative search on the Suspect's backpack and located nine rounds of 9mm ammunition in the front pouch. While detained, the Suspect spontaneously uttered that he had a firearm in his vehicle. CSS responded to process the scene. The vehicle was located, searched, and a firearm was recovered. A query through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia, however the Suspect did provide a state of Maryland license to carry a firearm. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS responded and conducted a custodial interview.
