CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO, UNLAWFUL POSS./TRANSFER OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE, POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 09:02:00 250826002772 R/O observed an individual submit to a voluntary administrative search upon entering a House Office Building. During the course of that search, two handgun magazines loaded with ammunition were discovered amongst the individual's belongings. The individual subsequently consented to a search of their vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of a handgun loaded with a magazine containing nineteen rounds of ammunition, as well as twenty additional loose rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry a pistol, nor was their firearm registered, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CCS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE RECKLESS DRIVING 16:55:00 250824002749 R/O observed a traffic accident at the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. As the driver reached into the glovebox to retrieve necessary documents, R/O observed a firearm in plain view. The Suspect was placed under arrest without incident. CSS responded to process the scene. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, the firearm was recovered and contained a fifteen round magazine loaded with ten 9mm rounds of ammunition with one in the chamber. An inquiry by CIS through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. Further investigation revealed the Suspect was driving at an accelerated speed and struck a curb and a wall prior to colliding with the other vehicle. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
LOANING REG., MISUSE OF TEMP. TAGS + NO PERMIT, POSS. OF OPEN CONT. OF ALC., CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS, POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO, POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM/DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY 16:08:00 250823002741 R/O conducted a tag check of a vehicle travelling in the 200 Block of Second Street NE. The check revealed the tag was registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Maryland, a cancelled permit out of the District of Columbia, and no status in Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS was notified and responded to process the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a firearm loaded with two rounds of ammunition was discovered on the driver's side door compartment, and an empty bottle of alcohol was located on the floor of the front passenger side. CIS was notified and confirmed through the District of Columba Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not posses a license to carry a firearm or ammunition. Additionally, the inquiry revealed the firearm was stolen out of Moultrie, Georgia in 2017.
TRAFFIC- MISUSE OF TAGS + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION FELON IN POSSESSION ALTERED REGISTRATION 16:57:00 250822002735 R/O observed a vehicle with expired registration traveling in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed no status. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed he was a felon on parole. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a handgun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition was located in the glovebox. A check through District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit revealed that the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia nor did the Suspect have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE UNLAWFUL POSS. OF AMMO, POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE 10:02:00 250821002723 R/O observed an individual illegally parked in a spot reserved for permitted vehicles in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. As R/O spoke with the occupant of the vehicle, the individual advised they were armed with a handgun. The occupant then consented to a search of their belongings, which resulted in the recovery of a handgun loaded with a 15-round magazine containing 12 rounds of ammunition. While the individual presented a valid Maryland handgun permit, an inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed they did not possess a license to carry a pistol, nor was their firearm registered, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense.
CPWL - CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 16:32:00 250812002647 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW, displaying an expired tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the same area. The WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags were expired. Upon approach, R/O noticed what appeared to be two open containers, with a dark liquid and smell consistent of an alcoholic beverage in the back seat of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the inventory search of the vehicle, a .22LR revolver with five loaded rounds was discovered in the trunk. CIS was notified and processed the scene. The MPD Gun Registration Unit confirmed the firearm is not registered and the Suspect did not possess or maintain a license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE 14:21:00 250804002576 R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden in order to assist a Contract Security Officer with an armed individual who said he was a Special Police Officer (SPO). Upon arrival, R/O observed the person in question with a holstered handgun in plain view on their hip. Further investigation revealed the individual had neither SPO credentials nor a concealed carry permit in their possession, as is required. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry a pistol, nor was their firearm registered, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded to the scene in order to recover the handgun, which was loaded with six (6) rounds of ammunition. S/A-1 and S/A-2 responded to conduct a recorded interview with the Suspect.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO 6:35:00 250718002405 R/O observed the Suspect enter a Senate Office Building for screening. The Suspect placed the backpack on the x-ray when R/O observed what appeared to be a firearm in the bag on the x-ray screen. A subsequent search of the bag revealed a silver in color firearm with a barrel length less than twelve inches, and an ammunition feeding device holding two (2) rounds of .410 caliber shotgun hollow point slugs. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CID was advised of the offense. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registry Unit verified neither the firearm nor its ammunition were registered in the District of Columbia.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE, POSS. OF UNREG. FIREAREM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO, POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE 17:58:00 250718002416 A Witness advised R/O of observing handguns in a vehicle a parking garage in the 700 Block of Ninth Street NW. R/O along with CIS responded to that same location. CIS interviewed the individual about their vehicle. A MPD gun dog was requested and conducted a sweep of the vehicle and detected evidence of firearms inside. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two loaded handguns, two high capacity magazines each loaded with thirteen rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
POSS. OF UNREG. FIREAM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE + POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO , CARRY RIFLE/SHOTGUN OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS, PRESENCE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE CONTAINING A GUN, POSS. OF OPEN CONT. OF ALC., POSS. OF LARGE CAP. AMMO FEED. DEVICE 15:30:00 250717002396 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags travelling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of Third Street NE. During the course of the stop, R/O observed two (2) open containers clearly labeled as alcoholic beverages in the vehicle's the middle console. After directing the driver to exit the vehicle, R/O observed what appeared to be a brown tactical gun bag on the rear floorboard of the vehicle. When asked what was in the bag, the driver stated "my rifle." A subsequent search of the bag revealed a .22 caliber rifle loaded with a 22-round magazine containing 13 rounds of ammunition, as well as multiple additional .22 caliber rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registry Unit verified neither the firearm nor its ammunition were registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense.
