| UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE, NO PERMIT | 15:54:00 | 260401001016 | R/O observed a motorcycle displaying no visible registration in the Unit Block of H Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a vehicle inventory search, R/O located tools and exposed wires which led R/O to believe the motorcycle was stolen. The vehicle owner was contacted and denied giving permission to anyone to operate their vehicle. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. S/A was notified. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1ST OFFENSE, NO PERMIT's SECOND OFFENSE | 8:07:00 | 260401001003 | R/O observed a vehicle parked in the middle of the intersection of Half and L Streets SE. R/O approached the driver and helped them out of the vehicle. R/O noticed the driver's eyes were bloodshot and watery, and their speech was slow and incoherent. SFST's were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed no valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest, revealed two hand rolled, partially smoked marijuana cigarettes and four wrapped paper packages containing a green weed-like substance. the substance was field tested positive for synthetic cannabinoids. A/O responded and processed the scene. | |
| PERMIT REVOKED - OAR, USE OF UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE | 8:44:00 | 260331000093 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 block of H Street NW with a Fresnel-lens style plate cover obstructing the vehicle tag. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle indicated that the registration was expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a revoked District of Columbia operator's permit and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNREGISTERED AMMO | 8:11:00 | 260330000979 | R/O discovered ammunition in the trunk of a vehicle while conducting an administrative check at the intersection of First Street and Washington Avenue SW (Traffic 7). Upon further investigation, the Suspect stated they went to the gun range over the weekend and forgot to remove the ammunition from the vehicle. CSS responded and discovered a magazine in the center console of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON, USE OF AN UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE, COUNTERFEIT TAGS, ALTERED TAGS | 16:38:00 | 260330000990 | R/O observed a vehicle bearing white piece of paper displaying a tag, traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag showed no record on file for all fifty states. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW. The Suspect could not produce proof of registration or insurance. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN on the windshield revealed an expired registration. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a black folding knife with fixed metal knuckles. Crime Scene responded to process the scene. Two tags were found concealed beneath the paper counterfeit tags. A WALES/NCIC check revealed them as expired as well. A registration was found in the glove compartment with the same information as the expired tags. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of North Capitol NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Florida and Virginia, with no status in Maryland or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1ST OFFENSE, URINATING OR DEFECATING IN PUBLIC | 1:25:00 | 260329000974 | R/O observed a black vehicle traveling at a noticeably high rate of speed at the intersection of Seventh and I Streets SE. R/O pulled right next to the parked cars on the east curb because he anticipated a traffic crash. At the last second the Suspect's vehicle avoided striking the parked car and traveled on the wrong side of the road towards Virginia Avenue SE. R/O caught up with the vehicle in the 500 Block of Virginia Avenue SE and observed the Suspect get out of the vehicle and urinate. The Suspect was unsteady and fell against the car for support. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicles tag revealed the registration was expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Virginia Avenue SE. Upon approach, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT II | 11:25:00 | 260328000964 | R/O took a report for a theft that occurred in the U.S. Capitol Building. The Victim stated while taking a tour, they left their Apple watch with the check stand. After retrieving their belongings and returning to the hotel they noticed the Apple watch was missing. All attempts to locate the watch were met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 600 Block of H Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the driver admitted to recently smoking marijuana. A/O conducted SFST's. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Montgomery County, Maryland. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
