Upon arrival, R/O observed multiple suspects chanting and holding signs. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to stop. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 22:42:38 | 250924003090 | R/O observed a vehicle with a suspected counterfeit Virginia temporary tag, traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of C Street NW. A check confirmed the tag was not associated with an active registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of C Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland driver's license revealed a suspended status out of Maryland with no valid permit out of Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O discovered an open container of alcohol behind the driver's seat on the floorboard, and a large bag of a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana in the trunk. CSS responded to process the scene. | |
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING – PERSONAL INJURY | 15:22:00 | 250923003065 | R/O responded to the report of a cyclist struck by a vehicle in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O arrived to the same location and located the Complainant who stated they were traveling northbound in the crosswalk when a vehicle struck them. The Suspect initially appeared to pull to the curb but then fled eastbound on Independence Avenue SE. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 15:43:00 | 250923003067 | R/O observed a vehicle with an improperly affixed tag in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag was still in inventory and not yet issued. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a fully extraditable warrant of Prince Georges County Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PERSONAL INJURY | 20:42:00 | 250923003070 | R/O responded to the 400 Block of Seward Square SE for a report of a hit and run. Once on the scene, multiple Complainants stated a Black SUV struck their vehicles then fled the scene. V1 sustained injury and would seek personal medial attention. V1's bicycle sustained scratches and V2 Black sedan sustained damage to the passenger side front panel. The Suspect vehicle was last seen driving southbound in the 200 Block of 4th Street SE. CSS responded to process the scene and CIS has been notified for further investigation. | |
ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER (AGGRAVATED ASSAULT) + DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DISRUPT GATHERING | 13:23:00 | 250923003063 | R/O while on post at a Library of Congress Building, was approached by the Suspect who bypassed the screening line and began shouting. R/O instructed the Suspect to rejoin the line or exit the building. The Suspect refused and continued to cause a disruption to the screening process. R/O attempted to gain control of the Suspect, when the Suspect swung their left elbow striking the R/O in the ribs. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
NO PERMIT + FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 21:11:00 | 250922003059 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling with a tinted plate cover in the Unit Block of I Street SE. The vehicle fled when R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 100 Block of I Street SW. R/O pursued the vehicle until it stopped in the 200 Block of K Street SW. The Suspect then exited the vehicle and fled on foot before being stopped in the 200 Block of L Street SW. While in the same location, R/O detained the Suspect without further incident. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia, and an extraditable warrant through the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to USCP Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the Suspect, A/O discovered a white rock-like substance inside their sock. CSS responded, processed the scene, and conducted a test of the substance, which returned positive for MDMA. | |
UNLAWFUL ENTRY | 7:13:00 | 250921003047 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed an individual walk into the bushes along the north foundation of the U.S. Capitol Building. Officers told the man to stop when he begin to scale the wall. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA | 01:52:00 | 250921003046 | R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and North Capitol Street NE make a left turn against a solid red light. R/O observed the vehicle quickly accelerate into the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O observed the vehicle make a right turn against a solid red light where a No Turn On Red sign is clearly posted. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW. R/O observed the driver had bloodshot and glassy eyes and was slow to speak. The driver stated they had a few drinks earlier that night. R/O observed a plastic cup in the center front cup holder filled halfway that smelled consistent with an alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
