| POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD, BENCH WARRANT | 4:21:00 | 260908002880 | R/O was approached by an individual who wished to air some grievances, while near the Taft Memorial on U.S. Capitol Grounds. A contact was initiated at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the individual was subject to a bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest. A subsequent search of the Suspect's belongings resulted in the discovery of several pill bottles containing medication that was prescribed to someone else. CSS responded to identify the pills and verified some of them contained a controlled substance. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory of the vehicle, R/O observed an open container labeled Tequila in the back seat. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O located an open bottle of an alcoholic beverage on the rear passenger seat's floorboard. | |
