A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed that their driving privileges were suspended in Virginia, with no status on file in the District of Columbia or Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications revealed an expired permit out of the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING, PROPERTY DAMAGE | 3:09:00 | 260616001980 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of a property damage accident. The Complainant stated that while their vehicle was parked at the location it was struck. A Witness at the location confirmed the Complainants vehicle was struck by the vehicle parked behind it. R/O also observed paint and scratches on both vehicles at the same height and locations consistent with being involved in a collision. The Witness stated the Suspect collided with the Complainants vehicle, made no attempt to notify, and walked away into a nearby building. R/O was able to locate the Suspect via the Witnesss description and an ID visible inside the Suspects vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM | 22:18:00 | 260614001961 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling without its headlights on in the 500 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. During the course of the investigation, the driver stated they had a firearm inside the vehicle. R/O removed the Suspect from the vehicle and then located a handgun on the floor near the front passenger seat. A/O responded and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene and recovered a 9mm handgun, a magazine containing fifteen (15) rounds of ammunition, an ammunition box containing twenty (20) additional rounds, and five (5) open containers of alcohol. CIS was notified and confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | 0:01:00 | 260614001959 | R/O observed the driver of a vehicle manipulating their phone and making an improper turn in the 200 block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. The Suspect was asked multiple times to exit the vehicle and initially refused to do so. However, the Suspect eventually complied. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While on scene AO observed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 Block of North Capitol Street NE. RO noticed the driver using slurred speech and had watery bloodshot eyes while speaking. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE | 0:23:00 | 260613001955 | R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic offenses in the northbound lanes of the Third Street Tunnel. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of Second Street NW. RO smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed bloodshot eyes while speaking with Suspect 1. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, Suspect 1 was placed under arrest. Suspect 2 exited the vehicle and RO inquired about a baby bottle containing green liquid in the back pocket of Suspect 2. Suspect 2 admitted to being in possession of a controlled substance that was prescribed to a family member. CSS responded to the scene. The green liquid tested positive for a controlled substance. Suspect 2 was placed under arrest. Both Suspects were transported to Headquarters for processing. |
