The Complainant stated that while loading their vehicle they noticed a bag containing an LCD screen was missing. The Complainant then observed an unknown male running westbound at the intersection of Constitution and Delaware Avenues NE with their property. A search of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a revoked District of Columbia operators permit and no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. While conducting a canvass, R/O located an individual matching the lookout description laying in the rear seat of a vehicle in the same location. The Suspect made statements to R/O that they did not know the owner of the vehicle or have permission to be inside. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the drivers breath. SFSTs were conducted, and after numerous signs of impairment were observed, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing.( | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended driving status out of North Carolina and no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. | ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON + FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | 18:13:00 | 260323000886 | R/O observed a motorcycle in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE with no tags displayed. R/O observed the Suspect drive eastbound on the sidewalk in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. R/O attempted a traffic stop at the same location. While attempting to stop the Suspect from fleeing the traffic stop, A/O grabbed the Suspects arms, and the Suspect accelerated, striking A/O and pushing him into the wall of a building. The Suspect fled the scene, traveling the wrong way in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. While fleeing, the Suspect struck a bollard, causing the speaker and brake lever to fall off the motorcycle. Crime Scene responded to process the scene of the crash. CIS was notified and will continue the investigation. |
