ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - FAIL TO EXHIBIT. 04/22/2023 8:21am 230422000848 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired tag driving in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Suspect failed to provide a valid driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - LEAVING SCENE-PROPERTY DAMAGE 04/21/2023 3:25am 230421000842 R/O responded to the 300 Block of 7th Street SE for the report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated their vehicle was stopped for a red light at the intersection of 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE when the Suspect's vehicle struck their driver-side rear. The Suspect exited their vehicle to check for damage and then left the scene. A/O responded and processed the scene. S/A responded and will continue to investigate.
DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312. 04/20/2023 5:18am 230420000831 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Maryland Avenue, SW, for a report of defacing of government property. Upon arrival, R/O observed a sign located in the outside garden, vandalized by what appeared to be a marker. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. A/O responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - PROPERTY DAMAGE ONLY. 04/20/2023 1:45pm 230424000855 R/O responded to the House Office Building Garage for the report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival R/O located the Complainant who stated they were involved in a traffic accident in the 300 Block of South Capitol Street SW at approximately 1720 hours. The Complainant stated she observed the Suspect turning their vehicle around and strike the back of her vehicle before driving off. R/O observed scratches and an indentation in the center of the Complainant's bumper. A search of the area was met with negative results.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESION OF UNREGISTRED AMMUNITION UNLAWFUL CONDUCT CAPITOL. 04/19/2023 6:00am 230419000820 R/O, while conducting a routine security inspection at Offsite Screening Delivery Center, discovered a loaded firearm with a magazine containing five rounds inside of a backpack belonging to the Suspect. An inquiry from the MPD Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry, nor was the weapon registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and recovered the weapon. S/A interviewed the Suspect and will continue to investigate.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD 04/19/2023 5:38am 230419000816 R/o was approached in a House Office Building by two staff members stating they were being followed. R/O made verbal commands for the Suspect to leave the building. The Suspect refused to leave and continued to enter into Room 1118. The Complainant advised the Suspect was not permitted in the office. After multiple attempts, the Suspect refused to exit the office. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY - MISD 04/19/2023 8:15pm 230419000814 R/O observed a sign located in the 100 Block of First Street, SW, vandalized by what appeared to be a marker. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. A/O responded and processed the scene.
CHARGE: FAILURE TO APPEAR 04/17/2023 8:57am 230417000799 R/O responded to a House Office Building for an unwanted guest. R/O located an individual matching the description inside an office. Upon contact, R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check, which revealed an active warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once the warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT I 04/17/2023 5:45am 230417000794 R/O responded to a House Office Building for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated that one Milwaukee Press Jaws tool was taken without the owner's permission by an unknown individual. The item was last seen inside of a secured storage cage on Monday, April 10, 2023. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT. 04/16/2023 7:03pm 230417000790 R/O responded to 200 Maryland Avenue NE to assist with a traffic stop. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the Suspect's person, R/O removed a bag containing two white rocks. A/O responded and tested the rocks which tested positive for synthetic amphetamines.
