DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE, RECKLESS DRIVING 1:12:00 260809002610 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at the intersection of South Capitol and I Streets SW. The R/O attempted to keep up with the vehicle and had to exceed the speed limit to do so. The vehicle also ran a red light and was driven erratically. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. Upon approach, the R/O noticed a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 5:04:00 260809002614 R/O observed a vehicle remain stationary through an entire light cycle, causing traffic to go around it at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and E Street, NW. A traffic stop was conducted at 400 First Street NW. Upon approach, the R/O detected a faint odor of alcohol emitting from the driver's breath, and the driver's eyes were glassy, red, and bloodshot. SFST and a breath test were completed, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 2ND OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 2:59:00 260808002602 R/O observed an individual that appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle stopped at a green traffic light in the 200 Block of Second Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. During the course of the stop, R/O woke the driver and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a plastic cup containing a liquid emitting an odor consistent with the smell of an alcoholic beverage in the center console.
NO PERMIT 2:36:00 260808002601 R/O observed a vehicle turn into the opposing lane of traffic upon entering the 200 Block of Third Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no operator's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 1:57:00 260808002600 R/O observed a vehicle turn into the opposing lane of traffic upon entering the 200 Block of D Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a partially empty bottle clearly labeled as tequila and a nearly empty can clearly labeled as a tequila cocktail on the front passenger seat, as well as a second nearly empty can clearly labeled as a tequila cocktail on the front passenger floorboard.
SIMPLE ASSAULT, SECOND DEGREE CRUELTY TO CHILDREN (SIMPLE ASSAULT) 11:11:00 260807002591 R/O was flagged down by a citizen in the Unit Block of M Street SE. The individual stated a person sprayed both them and their child in the face with mace after a verbal dispute and then fled the scene. The Suspect was subsequently located and stopped at the intersection of First and M Streets SE. Two eyewitnesses, as well as a review of available surveillance footage, corroborated the victim's statement. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded to process the scene. S/A was advised of the offense.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 21:08:00 260806002586 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on the exposed metal rim of its rear wheel in the 100 Block of I Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed multiple signs of impairment and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 15:28:00 260806002580 R/O was on routine patrol when they saw a subject known to have a warrant in the 300 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A stop was conducted at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect confirmed an active bench warrant out of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT, THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM- MISD, RESISTING ARREST 11:37:00 260806002577 R/O responded to the report of an assault at the intersection of Second Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Complainant stated the Suspect parked in a handicap marked parking space at the location. The Complainant asked the Suspect to move from the spot. The Suspect refused to move and yelled at the Complainant. The Complainant attempted to take a photo of the Suspect and vehicle when the Suspect struck the Complainant's hand with a closed fist. The Suspect then stated a threat and fled the location in their vehicle. R/O broadcast a lookout for the Suspect and the vehicle. After a quick canvas A/O was able to locate the Suspect at the intersection of Second and F Street NE. A/O attempted to detain the Suspect. The Suspect refused to listen to commands, pulled away from the A/O, and stiffened their body while refusing to put their hands behind their back. S/A responded and conducted a show up with positive results. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 22:37:00 260806002587 R/O observed a vehicle making a left turn on a red signal traffic light in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same area. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Virginia with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
