UNLAWFUL ENTRY 22:45:00 260626002120 R/O observed an individual in a restricted area on the steps of the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O stopped the Suspect and confirmed they were not authorized staff. The R/O ordered the Suspect to leave the area to which they refused. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT SUSPENDED - OAS; LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 20:59:00 260626002119 R/O observed a vehicle displaying expired tags in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland or Virginia. R/O observed the VIN associated with the tag did not match the VIN displayed on the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed no current or previous registration of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 1:42:00 260626002111 R/O observed a vehicle failed to maintain its lane and changed lanes without the use of a turn signal, traveling northbound in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted inside the Third St Tunnel. Upon approach of the vehicle, the Suspect's eyes were glassy and red. R/O could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were conducted and due to many signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 19:31:00 260625002109 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and switching lanes without the use of a turn signal in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. Upon approach of the vehicle, the Suspect's eyes were glassy and red. R/O could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were conducted and due to many signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, several cups were found with a liquid consistent with wine. An open bottle of tequila was also observed in the trunk area.
NO PERMIT 2:31:00 260624002077 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 700 block of Second Street NW, making a right turn on a red signal arrow. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit block H Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (AGGRAVATED ASSSAULT) + RESISTING ARREST UNLAWFUL ENTRY 20:03:00 260622002062 R/O observed an individual running from officers in a restricted area outside the U.S. Capitol Building. The individual ignored the officers commands to stop several times. While attempting to detain the individual, the individual bit A/O breaking the skin and kicked at several other officers. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE 18:05:00 260622002058 R/O approached a vehicle stopped and blocking the left lane of traffic in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O observed the driver appeared to be sleeping and unresponsive. R/O detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 13:12:00 260621002043 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red light in the intersection of South Capitol Street and Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 20:52:46 260621002045 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE displaying a tag with no visible expiration date. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of South Carolina and no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITIHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 16:08:00 260620002036 R/O observed a vehicle parked in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW with white smoke coming from the engine. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registration was suspended. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. During the course of the investigation, the Suspect stated there was a firearm in the glovebox and they did not possess a concealed carry license. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed a firearm containing thirteen (13) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber. CIS responded to Headquarters to interview the Suspect and confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not possess a license to carry in the District of Columbia.
