A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. R/O approached the vehicle and the odor of alcohol was emanating from the vehicle. A bottle of Don Julio was seen on the passenger floorboard. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While on canvass, R/O was flagged down and made aware of a traffic accident that occurred in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. Upon arrival, R/O observed a vehicle that collided with a parked car. A witness directed R/O to the driver of the striking vehicle standing at the intersection. R/O made contact and could smell a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O made contact with the driver whose speech was heavily slurred. R/O subsequently conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of H Street SE. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search incident to arrest, R/O discovered two (2) small bags containing a yellowish-white rock-like substance. CSS responded to prisoner processing and tested the substance, which returned positive for cocaine. |
