| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 2ND OFFENSE + NO PERMIT | 1:13:00 | 260131000269 | R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and make a right turn from the center lane in the Unit Block of E Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Third Street NW. Upon approach, the Suspects eyes were glassy and bloodshot. R/O also detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects license returned suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted due to numerous signs of impairment; the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 3RD OR SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE + PERMIT REVOKED - OAR | 0:45:00 | 260131000268 | R/O observed a vehicle with an expired Maryland registration at the intersection of South Capitol and M Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 Block of South Capitol Street SW. Upon approach, R/O requested the Suspects license, which the Suspect did not have. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect via word of mouth returned with a revoked license out of the District of Columbia and no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. R/O also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - FELONY | 17:07:00 | 260131000272 | R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red signal in the intersection of South Capitol Street and Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of Suspect 1 revealed an expired license out of the District of Columbia, no valid status in Maryland, and a revoked license out of Virginia. Upon further investigation, R/O observed an open container of beer in the console of the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, Suspect 1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation, R/O discovered a PCP cigarette in the passenger seat of the vehicle where Suspect 2 was located. Due to signs of PCP impairment, Suspect 2 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - RECKLESS DRIVING | 11:29:00 | 260130000262 | R/O observed a moped pass through a solid red light at the intersection of Independence Avenue and South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was attempted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE, however, the moped fled Eastbound at a high rate of speed once again. R/O located the moped in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE and observed the Suspect fleeing on foot. An immediate canvass for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER (POCA) LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS ALTERED TAGS NO PERMIT | 3:55:00 | 260130000257 | While on routine patrol, R/O observed a vehicle traveling Westbound in the Eastbound lanes in the 500 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's registration returned to a different vehicle and expired in 2023. The registration displayed an expiration year of 2024. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect returned with an ID card only. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect was slurring their speech. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a 1.75L bottle of Tequila on the rear seat behind the driver. The bottle contained approximately 1 oz of an amber liquid that had an odor of an alcoholic beverage. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | 22:50:00 | 260129000256 | R/O responded to check on the welfare of an individual inside of their car at the intersection of Louisiana and New Jersey Avenues NW. Upon approach, an off-duty officer informed the R/O that he witnessed the Suspect passed out in the vehicle and was able to wake the Suspect up by tapping on the window of the vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot and watery. The Suspect's body movements were lethargic, and they had a difficult time answering R/O's questions. During a preliminary investigation, the Suspect admitted to taking muscle relaxers and four bottles of various pills were located in the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING | 14:27:00 | 260129000252 | R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for the report of an active demonstration. Upon arrival, R/O observed multiple subjects singing and holding up signs to create a disturbance. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity, but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated they left their vehicle unlocked at 0830 hours and when they returned around 1400 hours, a wallet was missing. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) | 1:17:00 | 260129000245 | R/O observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road and running a red light in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Washington Avenue and E Street SW. During the stop, the Suspect was argumentative, and the R/O detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were attempted; however, the Suspect refused. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a nearly empty bottle of wine was found on the floorboard of the front passenger seat. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed the vehicle was unregistered with a previous Maryland temporary registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Sixth Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters. |
