ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) X5 AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY 21:30:00 260724002441 Multiple Officers observed an individual kicking the sign near a House Office Building. The individual then began pulling flowers and grass from the Architect of the Capitol flowerpots near the intersection of New Jersey and Independence Avenues SE. The Suspect matched the description of a suspect involved in a reported destruction of property at a business on Pennsylvania Avenue SE, where a brick was thrown through the window. A lookout was broadcast to law enforcement via Metropolitan Police Department communications. Officers attempted to stop the Suspect, however the Suspect ignored several verbal commands and fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, officers detained the Suspect. During the incident to arrest, the Suspect actively resisted by pulling away, attempting to prevent handcuffing, kicking, biting, and spitting on officers. A spit hood was applied after the Suspect continued to bite and spit on officers. The incident resulted in injuries to multiple officers, including bites wounds, scratches, bruising, and exposure to bodily fluids. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 11:18:00 260724002434 R/O observed a vehicle with expired registration in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed suspended out of Maryland and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT AND ALTERED TAGS 19:11:00 260724002439 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE displaying an altered tag. A WALES/NCIC check of the license plate revealed an expired tag from Maryland with altered numbers. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the driver was suspended in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE AND NO PERMIT 9:06:00 260724002433 Officer Mulloy (SOD-2) observed a vehicle at the intersection of Third Street and Constitution Avenue NW commit an illegal turn. A traffic stop was initiated in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended driver’s license in Virginia, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland, as well as an extraditable warrant out of Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (ea)
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 0:42:00 260724002432 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red traffic light at a high rate of speed at the intersection of South Capitol Street and N Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of South Capitol Street and I Street SE. Upon speaking with the Suspect, the R/O observed the Suspect was slow to respond to questions and requests. R/O also observed the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot, watery, and glassy. R/O detected a moderate odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 9:57:00 260723002418 R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn from the Rayburn House Office Building taxi stand to the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for prossessing.
NO PERMIT - SECOND OFFENSE 8:53:00 260723002415 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with expired temporary tags. A traffic stop was conducted at Massachusetts Avenue and D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the expired status. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland license, a revoked Virginia license and no status in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT AND ALTERED TAGS 8:10:00 260723002414 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration reflecting a different expiration date than the one shown on the tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS AND NO PERMIT 11:52:00 260723002423 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed expired status along with the registration belonging to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Fourth Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TAMPERING WITH A DETECTION DEVICE 13:06:00 260722002401 R/O 1 responded to a Senate office building room for the report of a person cutting off an ankle monitoring device. R/O 1 arrived at the location and a witness stated the Suspect came into the room and used scissors to cut their monitoring device off and left the room. After a canvass the Suspect was located. R/O 1 confirmed that the Suspect did have a court ordered GPS ankle monitor and that they had cut it off. R/O 2 responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
