| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, RECKLESS DRIVING, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 2:38:00 | 251011003225 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE at a high rate of speed. The vehicle passed through a red traffic light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and North Capitol Street NW. R/O observed the vehicle reach the intersection of New Jersey and Massachusetts Avenue NW in seconds. R/O observed the vehicle pass through another red traffic light and nearly struck several vehicles that were traveling north on Second Street. R/O observed that the vehicle had stopped on top of the crosswalk, blocking it from pedestrians. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had glassy, red eyes and their speech was slurred. R/O also detected a strong odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered two cups on the center console with a smell consistent with an alcoholic beverage. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 17:48:00 | 251011003226 | R/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red light at the intersection of G Place and North Capitol Street. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 900 Block of North Capitol Street. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the driver spoke in a low mumble and their eyes were glazed over. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT | 23:15:00 | 251011003227 | R/O observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel while driving in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| CONSUMPTION OF MARIJUANA IN A PUBLIC SPACE PROHIBITED | 8:27:00 | 251010003218 | R/O observed an individual smoking a substance in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. R/O can visually see a green leafy substance and could smell an odor of marijuana in the air. When asked about the substance, the Suspect stated it was marijuana and they had more in a glass jar. A WALES/NCIC check showed multiple non-extraditable warrants out of Ohio, California, and Idaho. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O processed the substance at headquarters and it came back with a presumptive positive for THC. | |
| NO PERMIT, LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | 22:14:00 | 251010003224 | R/O observed a vehicle make a wide left turn from Massachusetts Avenue NW onto North Capitol Street NW. R/O followed the vehicle into the 600 Block of North Capitol Street. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed it to be expired and to a different vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit block of G Place NE. The Suspect stated they bought the car off of facebook marketplace with the tags attached. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed it was not registered in any state. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD | 6:25:00 | 251010003216 | R/O and A/O observed an individual walk into North Door of the USCP Headquarters Building without authorization. The Suspect was informed multiple times after attempting to make entry prior that the building is not open to the public and they are not authorized to enter unless directed by an officer. R/O and A/O stopped the Suspect in the same location. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to South Door of Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON | 14:00:00 | 251010003222 | R/O responded to lookout put out through the USCP dispatch. The lookout was for a man leaving the scene of a suspicious vehicle with possible explosives inside. While near the Northwest Drive of the Capitol, USCP units called out via radio of an individual matching the description. R/O arrived and stopped the Suspect. The Suspect provided their identifying information voluntarily and the vehicle he stated that he drove matched the description of the suspicious vehicle. A frisk of the Suspect was conducted. During the frisk, a knife was found on the Suspect's front left pocket. A sweep of the Suspect and their personal belongings by a K-9 unit had a positive hit. During the investigation of the vehicle, a machete was located in the pickup bed on the top of the driver side rear wheel well. A can of orange bear spray was located in the front cup holder and a can of black bear spray was located in the front passenger seat back pocket. During the inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, three additional knives were located. The machete and knives all had blades over three inches in length. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags were expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of D Street NW. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O noticed a moderately strong odor consistent with cannabis emanating from the inside of the vehicle. R/O also observed that the Suspect had a lighter on their lap. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | 9:59:00 | 251009003209 | R/O responded to a report of a traffic accident in the Unit Block of D Street NW. Upon arriving on scene, R/O discovered a vehicle with visible damage to the rear passenger door. Per the Complainant, an individual riding a scooter struck the door as a passenger exited the vehicle. The striking vehicle then fled the scene without stopping. Initial attempts to identify the striking vehicle met with negative results. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. Upon approach, R/O smelled an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver's breath and observed their eyes were glassy. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
