A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant reported they left their notebook in the office on August 6th. When they returned to the office on August 17th, the notebook was still there, but multiple pages had been torn out and could not be found. R/O 2 was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, POSS PROHIBITED WEAPON (FELONY), ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT), RESISTING ARREST, USE OF UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE COUNTERFEIT TAGS | 20:28:00 | 260817002680 | R/O 1 and R/O 2 observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW at a moderately high rate of speed before braking suddenly at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tag revealed ne record. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O 2 smelled a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed an expired and suspended Maryland registration. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs, the Suspect was determined to be impaired. In the process of placing the Suspect under arrest, the Suspect began to violently resist by pulling away and tensing up knocking an officer to the ground. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search vehicle revealed a wooden bat with 15 screws driven through the top. R/O 3 and R/O 4 responded to process the scene. | |

Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. While attempting to place the Suspect in handcuffs, they tensed their body and pulled their arms away from the R/O. The Suspect then fled on foot in the 500 Block of Third Street NE. The Suspect was apprehended in the same location, placed in handcuffs, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
