RO detected the odor of marijuana while following the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + TRAFFIC ACCIDENT- LEAVING SCENE-PROPERTY DAMAGE | 2:01:00 | 260207000341 | R/O was approached by a victim of a hit and run that occurred in the 900 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. The Victim followed the Suspect and pointed out the striking vehicle. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspects eyes were glassy and speech slurred. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. The on scene crash investigation revealed the Suspect struck the victim's vehicle while the victim was parked in the 900 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. The Suspect then drove away eastbound striking a second vehicle in the 400 Block of New York Avenue NW. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were glassy, bloodshot and also detected the odor of alcohol emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed a red cup in the center console containing a liquid consistent with that of an alcohol beverage. R/O also observed a bag on the front passenger floorboard with an open container containing liquid consistent with that of an alcohol beverage. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE.R/O observed the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and observed a container with an open seal labeled as, "sake". A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed no information on the vehicle's VIN or license plate. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a cancelled driving status in the District of Columbia, a suspended license in Maryland, and a no driving status in Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| NO PERMIT + CAR. A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE, POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE, POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM / UNLAW. POSS. OR DEST. DEVICE, POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO, PRESENT IN VEHICLE CONTAINING GUN, POSS.POSS. W / I TO DIST MARIJUANA - MISD, etc. | 09:49:00 | 260206000331 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW displaying an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Maryland with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a handgun with one round chambered and two magazines were recovered from the center console. The barrel length of the handgun was less the 12 inches expelling projectiles by means of explosion. CSS responded and processed the scene. A WALES/NCIC check on grip and slide serial numbers of the handgun came back stolen out of Baltimore County, Maryland and Houston, Texas. The Metropolitan Police Gun Registration Unit results came back negative for a permit or any registered firearm. Two clear bags containing 3.6 ounces of marijuana were located in the rear passenger side door. While in processing, one container with 15 green pills was discovered on the Suspect. CSS tested the pills which came back positive for Oxycodone. CIS conducted a custodial interview of the Suspect. | |

A WALES/NCIC of the vehicle registration confirmed the expired status. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed an expired District of Columbia drivers permit and no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFFICER - RECKLESS DRIVING | 0:19:00 | 260205000320 | R/O observed a vehicle pass a stop sign at the intersection of Second and F Streets NW without stopping. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of G Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Virginia with no status in Maryland or the District of Columbia. R/O noticed an odor emanating from the vehicle consistent with burnt cannabis. R/O requested the Suspect to exit the vehicle, however, the Suspect accelerated away at a high rate of speed southbound through the 600 Block of Sixth Street NW and through multiple intersections, disregarding any traffic laws. An immediate canvass for the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. |
