DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 3:35:00 260328000961 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 400 Block of H Street NE with no headlights running. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 600 Block of H Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the driver admitted to recently smoking marijuana. A/O conducted SFST's. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 22:27:00 260328000973 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW displaying a temporary tag. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Montgomery County, Maryland. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 0:01:00 260328000959 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid yellow traffic signal at the intersection of South Capitol and N Streets SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed an open bottle of tequila in the trunk and two (2) prepackaged bags of marijuana under the driver's seat.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 2:10:00 260328000960 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of F Street NW at a high rate of speed before turning onto North Capitol Street. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were glassy and red, as well as detected the odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF A BB GUN, COUNTERFEIT TAGS, LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 18:42:00 260327000955 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW with the vehicle's rear tag faded and worn making it difficult to read the expiration date. The tag displayed also displayed an incorrect sequence and number of characters. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tag revealed no record on file. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a firearm in the center console. A/O responded to process the scene and determined the firearm was a bb gun.
NO PERMIT, LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS, ALTERED REGISTRATION 10:07:00 260327000944 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of M Street SE with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit Block of M Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tag revealed the tag belonged to a different vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle's registration stickers appeared to be hand cut and counterfeit. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended Virginia operator's permit, an expired Maryland operator's permit and no valid status in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS), POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL, POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 10:49:00 260327000946 R/O observed an individual enter the First Street and Constitution Avenue Door of a Senate Office Building and place a backpack through the X-ray machine for screening. During the screening process, an image of a firearm appeared on the X-ray monitor. An administrative search confirmed a firearm with an extended magazine containing twelve (12) rounds of 9mm ammunition inside of the Suspect's backpack. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A-1 and S/A-2 conducted a custodial interview of the Suspect. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 11:08:00 260326000931 R/O responded to an alarm in a Senate Office Building. Upon arrival, an individual was stopped outside of the room in the main hallway. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed a confirmed extraditable warrant held by Cass County, North Dakota. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:28:00 260326000936 R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for an active demonstration. Upon arrival, R/O observed multiple individuals sitting down and displaying banners. The individuals were given multiple warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 14:36:00 260326000937 R/O observed an individual enter the South Screening of the Capitol Visitor Center and placed their personal belongings through the x-ray machine for screening. During the process, the x-ray monitor alerted what appeared to be ammunition in the individual's bag. An administrative search of the bag confirmed two (2) rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded and processed the scene.
