R/O and A/O 1-3 initiated a felony stop at the same location. The Suspect refused to comply with several verbal commands given and was forcibly removed from the vehicle and continued to tense his arms and pull away from officers. USCP Communications confirmed the vehicle's stolen status from Fauquier County Sheriff's Office. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed extraditable warrants out of Fauquier County, VA. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT (THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES) + DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 | 11:53:07 | 251208003671 | R/O responded to 67 K Street SW for a report of stolen vehicle parts. An on scene investigation revealed two sets of tow truck dollies were stolen from a USCP tow truck. Additionally, the locks that were securing the dollies to the vehicle had been destroyed. Crime Scene responded to the scene for photos and fingerprints. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | 5:08:00 | 251207003670 | R/O responded to a report of property damage in the 400 Block of 2nd Street SE. Upon arriving on scene, R/O observed pieces of plastic from a vehicles light housing on the roadway and visible damage to a parked vehicle. Per the Complainant and a witness, the striking vehicle struck their parked vehicle and fled the scene without stopping, proceeding Southbound on 2nd Street SE. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE | 3:45:00 | 251207003669 | R/O and A/O observed a vehicle come to an abrupt stop on a crosswalk past a solid red traffic light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and North Capitol Street SW. Furthermore, R/O-1 and A/O-1 observed the vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel multiple times in Columbus Circle as well as the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. During the course of the stop, the suspect stated they were coming from a bar and had two drinks earlier on. R/O-1 detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath as well as slurred speech. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE FAILURE TO OBEY OFFICER | 15:54:00 | 251206003668 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed a vehicle traveling with expired tags in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed the tags were registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. The Suspect exited their vehicle and refused multiple times to obey a lawful order from R/O-2 to re-enter their vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended driving status in Maryland and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a vehicle inventory search, R/O-2 detected a strong odor of cannabis emitting from inside the vehicle. As a result of the search, R/O-2 conducted SFSTs on the Suspect where numerous signs of impairment were detected. | |
| NO PERMIT | 14:05:00 | 251206003666 | R/O observed a vehicle travelling southbound in the 300 Block of Second Street NE with the drivers side brake light not functioning. The vehicle passed a red signal and stopped partially in the intersection of Second Street and C Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Suspect proceeded to move the Members Only stanchion despite being instructed by R/O not to go up the steps. The Suspect was placed under arrest for entering a restricted area and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI (ALCOHOL OR DRUGS) + TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS | 19:41:00 | 251205003663 | R/O, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW that failed to signal into the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW. A WALES/ NCIC check of the vehicle revealed expired tags and a registration that was different from the observed vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. R/O observed the drivers eyes were glazed over and blood shot. R/O noticed a strong odor from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN | 16:46:00 | 251205003662 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Second Street NE for a report of a traffic accident. The Complainant on scene stated they tried to switch lanes in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE and a second vehicle drove aggressively behind them and then yelled at them. The Complainant stated that the Suspects vehicle then intentionally struck them on the rear driver side and was last seen traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. CSS responded to process the scene. | |
| UCSA-POSS MARIJUANA-MISD | 8:22:00 | 251205003655 | R/O observed an individual smoking a substance on the Capitol West Front Plaza. R/O could visually see a green leafy substance and smell an odor of marijuana in the air. R/O made contact with the Suspect who admitted to being in possession of marijuana. CIS was notified and tested the leafy substance which tested positive for Marijuana. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
