POSSESSION PROHIBITED WEAPON 15:50:00 260715002322 R/O observed an individual enter and submit to an administrative search in a senate office building. While monitoring the x-ray, R/O observed an unidentifiable item. As R/O conducted a secondary hand search, the individual stated that it was a knife. R/O observed a knife with a push button in which the blade pushes upward. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD 10:45:00 260715002314 R/O 1 observed an individual enter and submit to an administrative search in the screening line of the Capitol Visitor Center. While monitoring the x-ray, R/O was alerted of a potential presence of a prohibited item. R/O conducted a secondary hand search and discovered a vial with a small spoon attached to the lid additionally containing a white powdery substance. R/O 2 responded and tested the substance. The substance presumptively tested positive for Ketamine. R/O 3 and R/O 4 responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT - SECOND OFFENSE 16:43:00 260715002324 R/O observed a vehicle with a tag cover traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A vehicle tag check revealed an expired vehicle registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of First Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 11:48:00 260715002316 R/O while on post observed an individual yelling during a committee hearing in A senate office building. The individual was given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 13:20:00 260714002305 R/O observed an individual enter a senate office and place their bag through the x-ray machine. During the screening process, R/O observed what appeared to be a pistol magazine on the x-ray monitor. An administrative search of the bag was conducted and revealed a magazine loaded with 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition. A check via the MPD Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect had a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the Suspects bag incident to arrest a plastic bag with four capsules and 3 blue pressed tablets was discovered. R/O 2 responded and processed the scene. A test of the tablets yielded a presumptive positive for cocaine and fentanyl. R/O 3 was notified and conducted an interview of the Suspect.
DEFACEMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTY 12:30:00 260714002304 R/O responded to the report of graffiti in Bartholdi Park. R/O arrived at the same location to find chalk drawings and writing on the walking path and seating area of the park. R/O 2 responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING- PROPERTY DAMAGE 16:55:00 260714002309 R/O 1 responded to the report of a vehicle striking a barricade at the North Barricade of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O arrived at the location where he was advised by R/O 2 that a vehicle drove forward into the barricade as it was being lowered. A/O stated they attempted to stop the vehicle, but they continued to drive away. R/O 3 responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT 16:31:00 260714002308 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license in the District of Columbia and no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 7:40:00 260713002291 R/O observed a vehicle fail to yield the right-of-way in the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) AND NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 11:23:00 260713002297 R/O 1 was working at the North Barricade of the US Capitol Building when an individual drove up to the barricade. R/O 1 approached the vehicle and observed a handgun resting on the individual's lap. R/O 2 and R/O 3 responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest without incident. During the search of the vehicle, a handgun loaded with a sixteen (16) round magazine containing .40 caliber ammunition, and one (1) 9mm loose round. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm nor ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was subsequently transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. R/O 4 and R/O 5 were notified and conducted the investigation.
