While on post, R/O observed multiple individuals loudly chanting and holding signs inside the committee, causing a disruption. The individuals were escorted out of the committee, placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT TWO | 9:30:00 | 260415001183 | R/O responded to a Library of Congress Building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated the Segway was locked to a bike rack outside of the building at approximately 1100 hours and they returned around 1930 hours and noticed the Segway was gone. A canvass of the area to locate the property and/or Suspect was met with negative results. | |
| CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE HOME/BUSINESS + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTRED AMMUNITION | 8:18:00 | 260415001182 | R/O observed an individual drive to the Offsite Delivery screening. While conducting an administrative search of the vehicle, the screener observed what appeared to be the butt of a handgun in a black case. Further investigation of the case confirmed it was in fact an unloaded 9mm handgun and a loaded 10 round magazine. The individual admitted to owning the handgun. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the individual does not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. CSS processed the scene. CIS were notified. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they no valid operator's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop of both vehicles in the Unit Block of E Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of one of the drivers revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. While in the Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the person was subject to an active warrant issued out of Prince George's County, Maryland. Once the warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD | 12:17:00 | 260413001157 | R/O responded to the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NE to assist with serving a barring notice. R/O made contact with an individual and explained they were barred from all U.S. Senate Office Buildings and the Senate Wing of the U.S. Capitol Building, as well as the surrounding grounds comprising the property. Shortly thereafter, R/O observed the individual violate the order by walking across the Senate Plaza towards the Senate Wing of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | 17:48:00 | 260413001163 | R/O observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag traveling in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed it was registered to another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended North Carolina operators permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - SECOND OFFENSE + NO PERMIT COUNTERFEIT TAGS POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 7:50:00 | 260412001148 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling with what appeared to be a counterfeit temporary tag in the 100 Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag confirmed it belonged to a Tesla product although it was affixed to a Jeep product. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of K Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. During the course of the investigation, R/O observed the temporary tag was printed stating it belonged to a Jeep product. Additionally, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle and the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed two 50mL empty bottles of an alcoholic beverage located inside the vehicle. | |
| DRVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) | 23:47:00 | 260412001142 | R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn and fail to maintain their lane of travel in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of C Street SW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect was very slow moving and taking additional time responding to R/O commands. R/O requested the Suspects license, registration and proof of insurance in which the Suspect had trouble gathering due to slow movement and being lethargic. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O could detect a moderate odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath and vehicle. Additionally, R/O observed a clear cup of brown liquid on the drivers side floorboard. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed two small containers filled with blue jello substance that had a consistent odor to be an alcoholic beverage located in the center console. In the front passenger area there was several empty 375 ML bottles and several 1.75 liter bottles of cognac that was found. |
