CONTEMPT - CONDITION OF RELEASE VIOLATION 11:19:00 250914002964 R/O observed an individual known to have an active stay away order that included U.S. Capitol Grounds walking in the 100 block of East Capitol Street NE. A stop was subsequently conducted at First and East Capitol Streets NE. Once Communications verified the stay away order and its parameters, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CONTEMPT OF COURT 11:19:00 250914002964 R/O observed an individual walking westbound in the 100 block of East Capitol Street NE matching the description of a BOLO for a stay away order from U.S. Capitol Grounds. R/O conducted a stop of the Suspect at the intersection of First and East Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications confirmed that the Suspect has a stay away order. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC- DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 3:02:00 250913002957 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle at the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW heading southbound in the center lane make a right turn from the center lane onto North Capitol Street NW. R/O followed the vehicle and observed the vehicle travel westbound in the eastbound lane for several feet before getting into the proper lanes. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of E Street NW. R/O observed the driver had red and glassy eyes. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY 12:44:00 250913002959 R/O observed an individual walk around several bicycle racks blocking entry into a restricted area at the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect then proceeded to jump over a retaining wall and ascend the steps on the northside of the Lower West Terrace. R/O and A/O stopped the Suspect in the same location. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO VALID PERMIT + FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 17:28:00 250912002950 R/O observed a vehicle in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW with no functioning break lights. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia and a extraditable warrant through the Maryland State Police. The warrant was confirmed by Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO VALID PERMIT + ALTERED TAGS 21:32:00 250912002952 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at the intersection of First and E Street NW. A WALES/ NCIC check of the vehicle tags revealed a suspended registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the Suspect only had a Maryland identification card with driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC-DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 16:23:00 250912002948 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW displaying expired tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O could detect an odor of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT + TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 23:44:00 250912002955 R/O observed a vehicle hit a curb driving northbound on Interstate 395 into the Third Street Tunnel. A traffic stop was conducted in the Third Street Tunnel. The vehicle displayed temporary tags that had the wrong font, style, and letter/number sequence typically found on Virginia temporary tags. A WALES/NCIC was conducted which revealed the vehicles registration expiration date is further out than what is displayed on the tag. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O observed extensive damage to the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the suspect had no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. CSS responded and processed the scene. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon searching the vehicle, R/O discovered multiple forms of drug paraphernalia. While conducting a search of the Suspect at headquarters, A/Os 1 & 2 discovered multiple clear plastic bags with white powdery like substances on their person which tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl through field testing. CIS responded and interviewed suspect.
NO VALID PERMIT + MISUSE OF TAGS 21:08:00 250912002951 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle driving in the Southbound lanes in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW with no headlights activated. A WALES/ NCIC check showed the tags on the vehicle were not currently registered. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/ NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the Suspect did not have a valid drivers license in the District of Columbia and no valid driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER - POCA 20:43:00 250911002937 R/O observed an individual stumbling and holding an alcoholic beverage while walking towards Upper Senate Park. R/O stopped the individual who was in possession an open can of Yuengling beer. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
