DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 2:08:00 260822002727 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 Block of H Street NE pass a red light at the intersection of Second and H Streets NE. R/O attempted to initiate a traffic stop several times before a traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NW. Upon approach, the driver openly admitted to drinking alcohol. R/O noticed the driver's speech was slurred, their eyes were glassy and there was a smell of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 21:50:00 260822002732 R/O 1 responded to a call for an SFST's trained officer at the 700 Block of 2nd Street NW. R/O 2 had observed a vehicle driving the wrong direction on a one-way street and initiated a traffic stop. Upon approach, R/O 3 noticed the Suspect had glassy eyes and an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O 2 located a plastic cup with yellow liquid in the central cup holder. The liquid had a smell consistent with an alcoholic beverage. R/O 3 also located 2 open bottles labeled as alcoholic beverages in the center console and two more open bottles were found in the glove compartment and under the seat of the passenger.
NO PERMIT 21:11:00 260821002725 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Washington Avenue SW take a sharp left turn and cut off R/O's vehicle. R/O slammed on brakes to avoid a collision. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed an expired District of Columbia driver's permit and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT AND MISUSE OF TAGS 9:48:00 260821002712 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of I Street SW with expired tags. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the expiration and the tag belonging to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no valid operator's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE AND POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON - FELONY 8:25:00 260820002699 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 700 Block of South Capitol Street SW with its driver side view mirror folded inward. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registered owner had an active warrant. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of P Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver via USCP Communications confirmed the driver had an active and extraditable warrant held by the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory of the vehicle revealed a folding knife with knuckles attached on the passenger seat.
NO PERMIT 16:14:00 060819002697 R/O observed a vehicle with no registration stickers affixed to the tag in the 300 Block of M Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 Block of Fourth Street SE. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license in the District of Columbia and no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:55:00 260818002688 R/O observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 400 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license in the District of Columbia and no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON AND LEAVIING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 18:49:00 260818002689 R/O 1 responded to the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW for a report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, R/O 1 observed a single vehicle on the side of the road. The Complainant stated while in heavy traffic, the Suspect struck the rear side bumper of their vehicle. While attempting to flee, the Suspect used their vehicle to hit the Complainant. R/O 2 and R/O 3 responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 8:02:00 260818002682 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 500 Block of C Street NE with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC inquiry through USCP Communications confirmed the expired status. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, POSS PROHIBITED WEAPON (FELONY), ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT), RESISTING ARREST, USE OF UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE COUNTERFEIT TAGS 20:28:00 260817002680 R/O 1 and R/O 2 observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW at a moderately high rate of speed before braking suddenly at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tag revealed ne record. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O 2 smelled a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed an expired and suspended Maryland registration. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs, the Suspect was determined to be impaired. In the process of placing the Suspect under arrest, the Suspect began to violently resist by pulling away and tensing up knocking an officer to the ground. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search vehicle revealed a wooden bat with 15 screws driven through the top. R/O 3 and R/O 4 responded to process the scene.
