DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 13:36:00 260223000518 R/O observed a vehicle turn right disobeying a "NO TURN ON RED" sign in the intersection of South Capitol Street and Potomac Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 Block of First Street SE. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:25:00 260223000522 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling westbound in the 100 Block of N Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of N Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 1:28:00 260222000512 R/O observed a vehicle come to an abrupt stop at the Unit Block of H Street NE. R/O continued to observe the vehicle travel Eastbound violating multiple traffic rules such as drifting between lanes, speeding, stopping past marked roadway lines, and lane changing without utilizing turn signals. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of H Street NE. R/O could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from S1's breath and their eyes had a glassy appearance. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT X-2 17:15:00 260221000511 R/O observed a distressed individual walking, screaming and swinging bags of property in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O approached to conduct a welfare check. While conversing, a second individual arrived on scene. After the Suspects began making false statements against each other, R/O advised them to separate from each other. A short time later, R/O observed both Suspects involved in a physical altercation. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF, FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE 12:39:00 260220000503 R/O observed a vehicle at the intersection of South Capitol and Canal Streets SE commit multiple traffic offenses.. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Second Street SW. While speaking with the Suspect, RO detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. The suspect was asked to exit the vehicle. The suspect refused and fled at a high rate of speed. RO did not pursue. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 3:41:00 260221000505 R/O observed a vehicle run a red light in the 400 Block of South Capitol Street. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia or origin state of Georgia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRY DANGEROUS WEAPON- FELONY, PUBLIC INTOXICATION 1:58:00 260221000504 R/O observed a male on the curb of Fifth and H Streets NE whipping a metal chain into the street. When approached by RO, the Suspect yelled obscenities and approached RO in an aggressive manner while holding the chain in both hands. When ordered to drop the chain, the Suspect fled to an alley in the 700 block of Sixth Street NE. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected by RO. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 3:48:00 260221000506 R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with no lights illuminated commit multiple traffic offenses. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. RO detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 15:38:00 260220000498 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license out of Maryland and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 17:55:55 260220000500 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. R/O also observed the vehicle change lanes without using a signal. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The Suspect admitted to smoking marijuana an hour prior. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
