| NO PERMIT + POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA - FELONY | 19:18:00 | 251115003475 | R/O observed a vehicle conduct several traffic violations in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was subseuqently conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Georgia and no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located a backpack on the passenger side floorboard which held two packaged bags containing a green leafy substance, a digital scale, and several small multicolored packages. CSS responded and processed the scene. CSS conducted testing of the green leafy substance which returned with a presumptive positive for THC and weighed a total of 30.7 ounces. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF | 23:24:00 | 251116003478 | R/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red traffic signal in the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NW. R/O conducted a subsequent traffic stop in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland and no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 2ND OFFENSE + TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS TRAFFIC - FICTITIOUS TAG TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID | 3:01:00 | 251115002470 | R/O and A/O were operating as a double unit, observed a vehicle make several traffic infractions in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle temporary tags returned to a different vehicle. From R/Os training and experience, R/O observed the registration was laminated, and the formatting and size were incorrect. R/O activated their emergency lights and sirens and attempted a traffic stop. The Suspect continued driving eastbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle before stopping in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O requested the Suspects license, registration and proof of insurance. R/O observed the suspect movements were slow and lethargic and handed the R/O a Maryland identification card and a Virginia registration. The suspect did not have any insurance for the vehicle. Upon the Suspect exiting the vehicle, A/O observed the suspect eyes were bloodshot red and watery/glassy and balance appeared poor and unsteady. A/O could also detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE (DUI OR DRUGS) | 1:33:00 | 251115003469 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. R/O observed the vehicle not use a turn signal when changing lanes several times. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of C Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle and the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O and A/O observed the vehicle make numerous traffic violations and avoided a near collision. A traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 395 prior to Exit 5. While speaking with the driver, R/O notice their movements were slow while fumbling to find the vehicle registration. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - NO VALID PERMIT | 21:00:00 | 251114003468 | R/O responded to Second and C Streets NE for a report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O observed a vehicle sitting at that location and conducted a welfare check. The driver stated that they were operating the vehicle that was involved in the traffic accident and admitted they did not possess a valid drivers license. A WALES/ NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the driver did not have a valid driver's license in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O noticed a moderately strong odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. R/O also observed the driver's eyes were bloodshot and glazed over. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE | 17:44:00 | 251114003465 | R/O responded to a call for service for a domestic assault in the 200 Block of C Street SE through MPD Communications. A/O stopped a vehicle matching the lookout involved in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. R/O approached the passenger side of the vehicle and observed the victim sitting in the passenger seat. A/O observed blood on the Suspects shirt and removed them from the vehicle. The victim stated a verbal and physical altercation occurred in the vehicle. R/O observed multiple scratches on the left side of the victim's neck and a cut on the inside of the lip. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
