FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 13:56:00 250825002761 R/O conducted a routine security check of an individual who submitted themselves to the administrative screening process at the Off-Site Delivery Center. A subsequent WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the individual was subject to an extraditable warrant issued out of Baltimore County, Maryland. Once Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT x3 21:51:00 250824002751 R/O responded to radio assignment at 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE, for a report of a fight possibly involving a weapon. As R/O arrived on scene, they observed two of the four involved individuals with visible injuries. While conducting the investigation, it was determined three of the four individuals were involved in a physical altercation and the fourth individual was merely a witness. A surveillance video captured the incident and confirmed the three individuals assaulted one another. All three Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 2:04:00 250824002746 R/O assisted with a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being processed, the Suspect made multiple threats to harm Officers.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE RECKLESS DRIVING 16:55:00 250824002749 R/O observed a traffic accident at the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. As the driver reached into the glovebox to retrieve necessary documents, R/O observed a firearm in plain view. The Suspect was placed under arrest without incident. CSS responded to process the scene. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, the firearm was recovered and contained a fifteen round magazine loaded with ten 9mm rounds of ammunition with one in the chamber. An inquiry by CIS through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. Further investigation revealed the Suspect was driving at an accelerated speed and struck a curb and a wall prior to colliding with the other vehicle. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 0:46:00 250824002745 R/O conducted a tag check of a vehicle travelling in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. The check revealed the tag was reported stolen. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of First Street NE. Upon approaching the driver's side window, R/O observed the Suspect had watery, bloodshot eyes, and detected an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Further investigation revealed the tags belonged to the vehicle and one stolen tag was still outstanding.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING 23:47:00 250824002752 R/O responded to a radio assignment for a vehicle rollover crash at the I-395 ramp located at Washington Avenue and C Street SW. Upon arrival, R/O observed the driver with red eyes and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the drivers breath. The driver stated they took the exit too fast and hit the curb. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of Tequila was located within the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
TRAFFIC- NO VALID PERMIT + FAILURE TO APPEAR 15:13:00 250824002750 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 Block of Second Street NE with an obstructed rear tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver did not possess a valid operators permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia and had an active bench warrant through the District of Columbia. The warrant was confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing.
LOANING REG., MISUSE OF TEMP. TAGS + NO PERMIT, POSS. OF OPEN CONT. OF ALC., CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS, POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO, POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM/DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY 16:08:00 250823002741 R/O conducted a tag check of a vehicle travelling in the 200 Block of Second Street NE. The check revealed the tag was registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Maryland, a cancelled permit out of the District of Columbia, and no status in Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS was notified and responded to process the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a firearm loaded with two rounds of ammunition was discovered on the driver's side door compartment, and an empty bottle of alcohol was located on the floor of the front passenger side. CIS was notified and confirmed through the District of Columba Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not posses a license to carry a firearm or ammunition. Additionally, the inquiry revealed the firearm was stolen out of Moultrie, Georgia in 2017.
NO PERMIT 17:10:00 250823002742 R/O observed a vehicle travelling with torn registration stickers in the 700 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O conducted a tag check which returned with no registration on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no permit status in District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + FAILURE TO APPEAR 21:35:00 250823002744 R/O observed a vehicle travel through a solid red light in the 100 Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Virginia or Maryland. The check also revealed the Suspect was subject to an active bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
