The Complainant stated an individual snatched multiple belongings from their bag and ran away. R/O canvassed for the individual after the lookout was broadcasted. R/O located and detained the individual in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon further investigation, the Complainant stated they did not see the individual take their belongings. Additionally, the individual advised R/O that the Complainant pulled her out of a stroller causing her to hit the ground. R/O reviewed security footage from the Amtrak Police Department, which corroborated that the Complainant assaulted the individual. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O 2 was notified. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND INTOXICATION, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DISRUPTING A PUBLIC CONVEYANCE | 1:55:00 | 260712002289 | R/O was notified of an individual that walked up to the Checkpoint 4 access vehicle, opened the driver side rear door and sat inside the vehicle. The Suspect was given verbal commands to exit the vehicle. The Suspect exited the vehicle and tried to regain entry. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage consistent with alcohol consumption emitting from the Suspect breath and person. The Suspect was given multiple verbal commands to vacate the area and to relocate which the Suspect failed to comply and continued to disrupt and impede officers duty to work. R/O stopped the Suspect in the same location. R/O contacted the Complainant who stated the Suspect was observed on their property in the Unit Block of Second Street NE prior to a fire starting on their driveway. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O 2 was contacted. R/O 3 responded and processed the Suspect's lighter and matchbook. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | 3:02:00 | 260711002280 | Officer Bliss (HD-1) observed a vehicle run through a solid red traffic signal at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Third Street SW. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location. Upon approach, R/O could smell an odor consistent of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle and the Suspect breath. Due to suspicion of impairment, SFST’s were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (tc) | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the tag was registered to another vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a Maryland Identification card and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon approach, R/O could smell a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFST were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle yielded a response of expired as of 10/2024. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect yielded a response of surrendered out of Maryland, suspended out of Virginia, and an ID card only out of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) | 9:45:00 | 260709002260 | R/O responded to a room in a House office building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated they left their Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses on their desk upon leaving the office at approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 6, 2026. The glasses were missing upon the Complainant's return on July 9, 2026, and all attempts to locate them met with negative results. CIS was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, POSSESION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 16:20:00 | 260708002254 | R/O 1 observed a vehicle with a flat tire stopped at the intersection of Second and D Streets NE. R/O approached the vehicle to ensure the driver knew they had a flat tire. R/O noticed an open container of an alcoholic beverage in plain view in the center console, and an odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect and the vehicle. A stop was conducted at the same location. R/O 2 conducted SFSTs. Due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
