THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD, RESISTING ARREST 17:40:00 260830002804 R/O was approached by an individual who stated someone was chasing them at the intersection of Second and D Streets NE. The Complainant stated the Suspect chased them and was yelling I'm gonna kill you. R/O located the Suspect and told the Suspect to stop and place their hands behind their backs multiple times and the Suspect refused. The R/O, with multiple assisting officers, was able to stop and detain the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 23:41:00 260831002806 R/O observed a vehicle with no front headlights running traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Third Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed a suspended status. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Georgia with no status in Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING, FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, PERMIT REVOKED - OAR 15:57:00 260830002803 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag confirmed the expiration. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of H Street NW. The Suspect failed to yield passing through a solid red signal, accelerating rapidly into oncoming traffic and making an illegal turn onto North Capitol Street NW. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the registered owner which revealed a revoked permit out of the District of Columbia, with no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. The photo attached to the WALES/NCIC check matched the Suspect the R/O observed operating the vehicle. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
FAILURE TO APPEAR, POSSESSION OF A CONTOLLED SUBSTANCE 21:15:00 260829002798 R/O observed an individual known to have an outstanding warrant walking northbound in the 400 and 500 Blocks of Second Street NE. The individual ignored the R/O's commands to stop and fled on foot. The Suspect was subsequently apprehended in the 100 Block of F Street NE by the R/O and A/O. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an active bench warrant out of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search incident to arrest, A/O located a brown cigarette containing a substance consistent with synthetic cannabinoids.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, RECKLESS DRIVING 22:20:00 260829002800 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with no running headlights in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of C Street NE. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from their breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerus signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT - URINATING OR DEFECATING, NO PERMIT, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL, ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER 4:09:00 260829002791 R/O observed an individual standing near a moped in the middle of the crosswalk in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A stop was conducted in the same location. The Suspect then turned around, pulled their pants down, and urinated on the nearby plants. A/O-1 ordered the Suspect to pull their pants up, and they complied. When the Suspect searched their bag for identification, A/O-1 observed an opened bottle containing an alcoholic beverage inside the bag. The Suspect then admitted to consuming alcohol and operating a moped. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A/O-2 responded to the scene and detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted; however, the Suspect was unable to complete them as instructed. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being processed, the Suspect attempted to grab an Officer's crotch area multiple times. Additionally, while uncuffed and awaiting fingerprinting, the Suspect grabbed an Officer's hand and refused to release it. The Suspect then dropped to their knees and grabbed the Officer's leg.
SIMPLE ASSAULT - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 22:20:00 260829002799 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with no running headlights in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of C Street NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the driver had cuts on their forearm consistent with nail marks. The Complainant stated the passenger, who is their ex-fiance, scratched their arms while attempting to take their cellphone. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL, RESISTING ARREST, ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER 1:20:00 260829002790 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with a flat tire and rear damage to the passenger side in the 200 Block of Third Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A/O-1 responded to the scene, and while speaking with the Suspect, detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from their breath. SFSTs were conducted. While being placed under arrest, the Suspect tensed up and pulled away from the Officers. The Suspect then kicked A/O-2 in the knee. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located an opened bottle containing an alcoholic beverage in a bag on the passenger seat. A/O-3 responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT, LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 20:56:00 260828002788 R/O observed a vehicle move into a parking space in the Unit Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags were not on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed the vehicle was registered to another owner and expired. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 10:05:00 260827002767 R/O conducted an administrative background check on an individual requesting congressional credentials from the Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing. During the course of that check, a WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the person was subject to an active, extraditable warrant issued out of Montgomery County, Maryland. Once the warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
