DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 20:31:00 250921003049 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags travelling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a moderately strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS (x2) 20:16:00 250921003048 R/O observed a Maryland tag without a clearly visible expiration sticker affixed to the rear of a vehicle travelling in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed it was registered to a different vehicle. Further investigation revealed a Virginia tag was affixed to the front of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of that tag revealed it was also registered to a different vehicle. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no operator's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 21:25:00 250920003045 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle in the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and New Jersey Avenue NW make a U-Turn against a No Left Turn Sign. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags were expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle in the Unit Block of G Street NW. R/O noticed a faint odor of burnt marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle and the driver spoke in a low tone of voice. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + RECKLESS DRIVING 1:46:00 250920003042 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. R/O followed the vehicle and witnessed it trigger the speed camera in the 700 Block of North Capitol Street. The vehicle then made a sharp turn and proceeded to stop in the crosswalk at the intersection of First and H Streets NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of H Street NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CPWL - CARRYING A PISTOL W/O LICENSE + UNREGISTERED FIREARM UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION MISUSE OF TAGS ALTERED TAGS NO VALID PERMIT 20:47:00 250920003044 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 500 Block of D Street NE displaying an expired tag. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. The driver stated the vehicle was obtained from a dealership and the tag came from another vehicle they owned. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the no driving status in Maryland, the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the inventory search of the vehicle, a .40 caliber S&W handgun with 1 round in the chamber and a 10 round magazine was discovered. A DC Gun Registry check revealed the Suspect does not have a concealed carry permit in the District of Columbia. CSS responded to recover the weapon. CIS responded to question the Suspect and further investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 17:44:00 250920003043 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW with an improperly displayed tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - DISRUPT GATHERING + RESISTING ARREST 11:28:00 250919003031 R/O observed an agitated individual walking towards a press conference at a Press Area of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect then climbed over a wall separating the public from the press conference and proceeded to disrupt the press conference by screaming incoherently. While being placed under arrest, the Suspect actively resisted by being uncooperative and struggling with the R/O. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 15:58:00 250919003034 R/O observed a vehicle driving with expired temporary tags in the Unit Block Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag confirmed the expired status. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. While speaking to the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted by A/O and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFF + NO PERMIT 2:08:00 250919003026 R/O observed a vehicle driving westbound in the 400 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE fail to maintain its lane several times. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag returned expired, and a traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of A Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and they admitted to have consumed two alcoholic beverages recently. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect by word of mouth revealed that they had an expired driving permit out of Washington, a suspended permit out of Virginia, and no valid permit out of the District of Columbia or Maryland. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + ALTERED REGISTRATION POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 23:49:00 250920003040 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with an up-to-date but damaged registration sticker in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed a suspended registration. R/O conducted traffic stop in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. The Suspect stated they purchased the year on the registration sticker from a friend. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland, a cancelled license in the District of Columbia, and no driving status in Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located a half empty bottle Tequila on the front passenger floorboard.
