While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed a loaded handgun magazine with six rounds of 9mm ammunition in the center console. CSS observed a black handgun between the center console and the passenger seat. CSS responded and processed the scene. R/O confirmed through MPD Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not maintain a valid license to carry in the District of Columbia. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed a stolen tag. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle. R/O later observed several small pieces of a green, leafy substance on the Suspect's lap, consistent in appearance to Marijuana. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance inside the center console, and a container in the drivers side cup holder with a reddish liquid that emanated an odor consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage. | |
