A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of North Capitol Street NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect eyes to be glassy and red. R/O also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's side. A WALES/NCIC check returned valid with no wants or warrants. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a canceled status in Arizona with no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES | 11:15:00 | 2.60731E+11 | R/O 1 observed a vehicle obstructing the crosswalk in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. During the course of the investigation, the driver identified themselves as an armed security officer and provided R/O with a Firearms Registration Certificate, and concealed carry permit issued by the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit. A WALES/NCIC inquiry confirmed the individual possess a license to carry firearms in the District of Columbia; however, the license does not allow an individual to carry a firearm on U.S. Capitol Grounds without prior authority. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O 2 responded and processed the scene. Recovered was a black handgun loaded with ten (10) rounds of ammunition and one (1) round in the chamber. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE AND POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | 21:45:00 | 2.60731E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle make several traffic violations traveling southbound on E Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 block of Third Street SE. While conversing with the driver, R/O observed an open can of an alcoholic beverage in the center cup holder, one open can in the passenger seat, and one open can on the passenger floorboard. The Suspect's voice was slurred, and eyes were glassy and watery. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O could smell a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage from inside the Suspect's vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1ST OFFENSE AND POSSESSION OF BB GUN | 7:21:00 | 2.60731E+11 | R/O 1 responded to the 500 Block of Second Street NE for a report of an individual asleep inside their car. Upon approach, R/O could detect a moderate odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver's breath and notice their eyes were glassy and bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O 2 discovered a black BB gun with eleven (11) pellets in the magazine under the driver's seat and an additional 1500 pellets in the vehicle. R/O 3, 4 AND 5 responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle which revealed the registration expired in 2025. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Maryland driver's license with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virgina. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
