A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed the expired status. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE | 23:54:00 | 260606001862 | R/O observed a vehicle make several traffic violations while traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O immediately smelled an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. R/O observed the driver's eyes were bloodshot, watery, and glassy. Due to suspicion of impairment, SFST's were conducted. As a result of numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| CONTEMPT OF CPO/TPO, FAIL TO EXHIBIT LICENSE & POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE | 9:39:00 | 260604001834 | R/O 1 observed a vehicle cut off another vehicle upon changing lanes without signaling while traveling in the Unit Block of M Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Half and M Streets SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they filed for a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) that was still in effect. R/O then attempted to identify an individual in the passenger seat of the vehicle since they were not wearing a seat belt. The passenger then provided several different names by word of mouth. As the investigation continued, the individual eventually provided their real name and admitted they were the subject of the driver's TPO, which was then confirmed by USCP Communications. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A subsequent search of the suspect led to the discovery of a single pill that tested positive for Oxycodone. R/O 2 responded to the scene and processed all recovered evidence. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE & POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | 1:34:00 | 260604001827 | R/O observed a vehicle at the intersection of Massachusetts and New Jersey Avenues NW sit through a green light cycle without moving. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. Upon approach R/O observed the driver appeared to be unconscious at the wheel, R/O gave several loud verbal commands to the driver with no response. R/O observed the suspect's eyes were bloodshot, watery/glassy, and could smell a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage mitting from the suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the vehicle, R/O observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage on the front passenger seat. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no operator's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT X3 + DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000, NO PERMIT DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | 12:07:00 | 200603001807 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to a traffic accident with an assault in progress at I-695E prior to the split at South Capitol Street SW. Upon arrival R/O and A/O made contact with four individuals. The Complainant sustained visible injuries in an assault by three Suspects when attempting to document vehicle damage after a traffic collision. A WALES/NCIC check of Suspect 1 revealed an active warrant out of Prince Georges County, MD. Suspect 1 displayed slurred speech, pinpoint pupils and altered memory. The Suspect refused SFSTs. After some investigation, video footage was provided to R/O for the assault. All 3 Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + PUBLIC INTOXICATION ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER X2 | 15:55:00 | 260603001819 | R/O was approached by an individual slurring his speech and appearing to be heavily intoxicated in the Unit Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the individual revealed a warrant out of Mercer County, Pennsylvania which was confirmed extraditable by USCP Communications. When R/O attempted to detain the individual, the Suspect resisted in order to evade being handcuffed. As a result, R/O sustained minor lacerations on the right hand and A/O sustained lacerations to the right eye and both knees. The Suspect was successfully placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being processed, a bottle of Brandy was located in the Suspect's suitcase. | |

Upon arrival, the Complainant stated the Suspect hit her in the arm during their interaction. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. When speaking with the driver R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
