A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of North Capitol Street NW. Upon conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O observed multiple open containers of alcoholic beverages. The containers had an odor consistent with alcoholic beverages. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 17:28:00 | 260319000845 | R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags travelling through the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Second Street SW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, an open container of tequila was found on the rear floorboard. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle. While speaking with the driver, the driver produced another tag for the vehicle in which a WALES/NCIC check revelaed the tag was stolen out of West Orange, New Jersey. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. In addition, the WALES/NCIC revealed multiple active extraditable warrants out of Maryland and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle registration revealed it was suspended. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked status in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland or Virginia. While speaking with the Suspect, the reporting officer detected a moderate odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspects breath, and the Suspects speech was slurred. The Suspect refused SFSTs. The Suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked license in Maryland and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Additionally, R/O noticed the vehicle did not have a front tag displayed. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest for receiving stolen property. The Suspect asked for his jacket from the back seat of the car, and brass knuckles were found in the pocket. The Suspect was taken to Headquarters for processing. | |
