NO PERMIT - SECOND OFFENSE + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (CPWL) UNREGISTERED FIREARM UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 9:22:00 260203000300 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration in the 1200 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a bag containing a shotgun, eleven 12 gauge shells and twenty 40 caliber bullets was discovered behind the rear passenger seat of the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS conducted a custodial interview of the Suspect.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 21:46:00 260203000310 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed the registration belonging to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) 17:51:00 260202000293 R/O responded to a room in a House Office Building for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated they placed camera equipment behind a computer monitor in a cubicle on November 17, 2025, and when they returned January 29, 2026, the items were missing. A search for the missing items were conducted with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCHOHOL 2:00:00 260202000277 R/O responded to the Unit Block of 17th Street NW to assist with a multi-vehicle crash investigation. During the investigation, RO detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle revealed and open container of an alcoholic beverage.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 15:24:00 260202000292 R/O observed an individual standing in the middle of the roadway next to their vehicle, yelling at another individual in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. R/O observed the individual enter their vehicle and drive to the 100 Block of Second Street SE, stop in the roadway, and walking away from their vehicle. The individual appeared off balance and unsteady. R/O detained the individual and smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the individuals breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 17:14:00 260202000294 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW with an expired registration. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag confirmed the expired status and revealed the tag was suspended. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no drivers permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT SUSPENED 9:14:00 260202000282 R/O observed a vehicle obstructing the bicycle lane in the 200 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed their District of Columbia operator's permit was suspended. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER RESISTING ARREST 1:19:00 260201000273 R/O observed a vehicle traveling without headlights on and failing to maintain their lane of travel in the 100 Block of M Street SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of M Street SE. Upon further investigation, the Suspect admitted to having an alcoholic beverage prior to driving. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. During the search incident to arrest, the Suspect became aggressive and kicked the R/O and A/O. While being placed in the transport vehicle, the Suspect resisted by pushing back on the R/O and A/O. The Suspect was subsequently transported to Headquarters.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 18:00:00 260201000276 R/O observed a vehicle noticeably slow down in the I395 Third Street Tunnel. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revelaed it belonged to another vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of F Street NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed that the drivers eyes were watery and glassy. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE + SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING 17:13:00 260201000275 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red traffic light in the intersection of South Capitol and I Street SE. R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the same location, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed travelling Southbound on South Capitol Street. However, R/O was able to maintain a visual of the vehicle in which the Suspect disregarded every posted stop sign. A lookout of the vehicle was broadcasted to Metropolitan's First District Dispatch. A/O-1 and A/O-2 began assisting with canvassing for the vehicle at the address listed on the registration. R/O observed the vehicle and an individual in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. A preliminary investigation revealed the individual was the driver of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
