| UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES + CARRYING A DANGEROUS WEAPON (CDW) POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARMS | 12:20:00 | 260217000452 | R/O was approached by two witnesses at Peace Circle who stated they observed an individual wearing camouflage and tactical clothing, carrying what appeared to be a long gun, running along the Maryland Avenue walkway towards the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O responded to the Lower West Terrace and observed A/O giving the Suspect verbal commands to drop their weapon. R/O and A/O-2 gained control of the Suspect, who was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and recovered a 12-gauge shotgun containing seven (7) rounds in the tube and one (1) round in the chamber. Additionally, seventeen (17) loose rounds of shotgun ammunition were located in the Suspect's tactical vest pouch. CIS conducted a custodial interview of the Suspect. During the interview, the Suspect admitted to driving from Georgia to the District of Columbia with his shotgun. | |
| DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT RESISTING ARREST FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER POSSEESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD | 19:07:00 | 260216000449 | R/O observed a vehicle with flat tires and its hazard lights activated in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed that the drivers eyes were glazed over. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, R/O attempted to place the Suspect under arrest. The Suspect fled on foot in the Unit Block of G Street NE. R/O gave multiple commands to stop to which he ignored. R/O lost sight of the Suspect and broadcasted a lookout. A/O observed the Suspect and gave commands to stop. The Suspect was eventually apprehended and placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, A/O-2 located an open Suboxone Buprenorphine pack with a small tan tab in the Suspects right sock. Additionally, during an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O-3 located an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the passenger side door jam. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an identification card only from Mississippi, an expired permit from Texas, and no return in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT | 5:08:00 | 260215000438 | R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 13:30:00 | 260215000442 | R/O observed an individual demonstrating with a knife holstered in plain view on their hip while at the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O and A/O conducted a stop in the same location. Upon further investigation, the Suspect stated they wanted to burn a military uniform as part of their demonstration and had parked their vehicle in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW. A/O-2 and A/O-3 responded to that location and observed one (1) round of ammunition in plain view on the dashboard of a vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed it was registered to the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and conducted a custodial interview. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE | 18:38:00 | 260214000435 | R/O observed a vehicle strike the concrete median in the 1200 Block of First Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 Block of M Street SE. RO detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FLEEING FROM POLICE OFFICER + RECKLESS DRIVING | 11:11:00 | 260214000431 | R/O observed a vehicle with a suspended registration traveling Westbound in the 700 Block of M Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of M Street SE. As the R/O and A/O approached the Suspects vehicle, the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed and proceeded to travel through numerous solid red lights. R/O did not initiate a pursuit. CIS was notified. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 2ND OFF | 2:58:00 | 260214000427 | R/O observed a vehicle blocking a travel lane in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O pulled alongside of the vehicle and observed the Suspects slumped over the center console. R/O knocked on the window for two minutes trying to awaken the Suspect. The Suspect appeared to be in a stupor and slowly looked around. Upon the Suspect opening the door, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath and vehicle. The Suspects eyes were glassy and bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER + INTOXICATION | 19:45:00 | 260214000437 | R/O observed the Suspect passed out on the sidewalk in the Unit Block of E Street NW. RO was able to wake the Suspect and observed the strong odor of an Alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect. The Suspect was unable to stand or walk on their own and DC Fire responded and treated the Suspect. The Suspect then became combative and struck A/O on the arm with a closed fist. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1ST OFF | 3:39:00 | 260214000428 | R/O observed a vehicle with no rear lights illuminating in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NE. Upon approach, R/O was met with a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. The Suspects face was flushed and eyes had light reddening. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
