| ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON + FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | 18:13:00 | 260323000886 | R/O observed a motorcycle in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE with no tags displayed. R/O observed the Suspect drive eastbound on the sidewalk in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. R/O attempted a traffic stop at the same location. While attempting to stop the Suspect from fleeing the traffic stop, A/O grabbed the Suspects arms, and the Suspect accelerated, striking A/O and pushing him into the wall of a building. The Suspect fled the scene, traveling the wrong way in the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. While fleeing, the Suspect struck a bollard, causing the speaker and brake lever to fall off the motorcycle. Crime Scene responded to process the scene of the crash. CIS was notified and will continue the investigation. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1ST OFFENSE | 23:29:00 | 260323000891 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE at a slower rate of speed compared to normal traffic. At the intersection of North Capitol and H Street NE, the vehicle turned right onto the Unit Block of H Street without using their signal. A traffic stop was conducted in the same area. Upon approach to the driver's side window, R/O observed a visible cloud of smoke come out of the vehicle along with a strong odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The Suspect was slow to respond to questions and had watery/glassy eyes. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The vehicle proceeded to hit a curb in the 100 Block of D Street NW where the R/O subsequently conducted a traffic stop. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O smelled a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of C Street NW. The R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a flask containing a liquid consistent with the odor of alcohol was found in the front passenger seat. | |
