DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + NO PERMIT 21:40:00 260511001536 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 block of North Capitol Street NW, with a suspected misuse of tag. A WALES/NCIC of the tag revealed no registration on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of North Capitol Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the driver's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no operators permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 0:15:00 260510001513 R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed a vehicle with no running lights traveling northbound in the 1100 Block of South Capitol Street. A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 Block of South Capitol Street. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA - MISD 13:52:00 260510001516 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an obstructed registration in the 400 Block of Second Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The driver (S-1) was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of an alcoholic beverage was found on the floor of the backseat. Additionally, R/O located a bookbag containing more than 2 ounces of a green leafy substance wrapped in plastic. The passenger (S-2) of the vehicle stated the bookbag belonged to them. Therefore, the passenger was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CSS conducted testing of the green leafy substance which returned with a presumptive positive for THC.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- FIRST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 0:42:00 260508001506 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound committing several traffic violations in the Unit block of M Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of M Street SW. During the stop, the driver admitted to having an undetermined amount of alcohol and initially provided the wrong date of birth. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed a bottle of tequila on the floorboard behind the driver's seat.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + NO PERMIT, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 8:49:00 260509001509 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle returned with an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended drivers license in Virginia and no valid driving status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. R/O responded to the scene to conduct SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of tequila was found.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 16:47:00 260508001504 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NE with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/ NCIC check of the driver revealed a warrant held by Prince Georges County Sheriff's Office. The warrant was confirmed through USCP Communications as fully extraditable. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 1:17:00 260508001485 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with expired tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Maryland with no driving status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
RECKLESS DRIVING + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS USE OF UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE 20:39:00 260508001505 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red traffic signal at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. The vehicle then made several lane changes and turns without signaling. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed a suspended Maryland registration and belonging to a different vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + POSSESSION OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR 1:01:00 260508001484 R/O-1 observed a vehicle drive through a solid red light and nearly strike delineator barriers traveling northbound on South Capitol Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted at the 200 Block of D Street SE. When R/O approached the vehicle and spoke with the suspect, R/O observed multiple signs of impairment such as bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During arrest processing, the Suspect became combative and attempted to strike officers. The Suspect struck R/O-2 in the face with a closed fist and struck CSS in the leg by kicking.
NO PERMIT 17:22:00 260507001479 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired temporary registration traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of H Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired permit in Maryland and no status in District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
