CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 10:40:00 250724002469 R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for the report of a demonstration. R/O observed multiple Suspects standing and chanting during the hearing. The Suspects were given a warning to cease and desist their demonstration, but failed to stop. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 19:10:00 250724002483 R/O observed a vehicle bearing an expired registration in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications revealed no driving status through all 50 states. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING DANGEROUS WEAPON (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, POSS. PROHIBITED WEAPON 13:12:00 250723002461 R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden to a report of an individual displaying a knife when challenged by a Contract Security Officer (CSO). Upon arrival, RO observed the subject and conducted a stop in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW. A frisk of the subject revealed a serrated kitchen knife approximately 6 inches in length. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded to processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 16:00:00 250723002465 R/O observed an individual matching a BOLO from USCP Criminal Investigations Section in the Unit Block of E Street NE. A subject stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an active warrant held by the U.S. Marshals Service, and another held by the D.C. Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) 18:00:00 250723002466 R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for a theft report. The Complainant stated that the Suspect was issued an iPad with an asset tag affixed when hired. Upon termination, the Suspect returned a different iPad with the asset tag affixed. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 15:35:00 250722002452 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended license out of Maryland and no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 15:17:00 250722002453 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of First Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE-1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 0:19:00 250721002431 R/O observed an unconscious individual behind the wheel of a parked vehicle with it's driver's side door fully open in the Unit Block of D Street NW. R/O initiated a welfare check and immediately detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from within the vehicle. Upon waking the occupant, R/O noticed their speech was slurred and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from their breath. During the course of conversing with R/O, the occupant admitted to having just driven from Maryland. SFSTs were then administered. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An open can containing a liquid with characteristics consistent with an alcoholic beverage was located in the center console during a subsequent inventory search of the vehicle.
FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFFICER - FELONY + RECKLESS DRIVING 20:44:00 250719002426 R/O observed a vehicle travel through a solid red light at the intersection of 3rd and Constitution Avenue NW. R/O attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the Unit Block of 3rd Street NW. The vehicle did not stop accelerating at a high rate of speed and was disobeying all traffic laws. The vehicle continued traveling at a high rate of speed southbound in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. The vehicle disobeyed the red traffic signals at both the intersections of Washington and D Street SW and South Capitol and E Street SW. The Suspect was estimated to be traveling around 80mph and was putting multiple civilians and traffic in severe risk of injury. R/O attempted another traffic stop on the intersection of South Capitol and P Street SW. The vehicle disobeyed all commands and fled. All attempts to locate the vehicle were met with negative results. CID was notified and will continue to investigate.
POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE + FAILURE TO EXHIBIT LICENSE 20:56:00 250719002428 R/O observed a vehicle parked improperly in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that had fled from an assault with a knife in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. The vehicle pulled out of the parking space and made a U-turn to travel westbound in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The vehicle proceeded through a solid red light at the intersection of 3rd and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. A/O initiated a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. The Suspect became argumentative and failed to follow instructions from A/O. The Suspect failed to provide any identifiable information. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During inventory of the vehicle, a half full clear bottle of tequila was found in the back passenger seat.
