| CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) | 9:27:00 | 260717002348 | POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA - FELONY POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION NO PERMIT LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS Officer Davis (SOD-2) observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of H Street NW with a suspected altered registration sticker. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tag revealed an expired tag and the registration belonging to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. R/O observed a clear plastic bag on the rear seat containing a large amount (approximately a pound) of green leafy substance. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a handgun loaded with a six (6) round magazine in a bag in the back seat. Crime Scene Technicians Jorgensen and Schuster (CSS) responded and processed the scene. The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana. Special Agents Campopiano and Longobardi (CIS) interviewed the Suspect. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the handgun was not registered in the District of Columbia, and the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. | SIMPLE ASSAULT | 20:53:00 | 260717002355 | R/O was parked in the 200 block of Maryland Avenue NE when a vehicle pulled alongside them. A Complainant exited the vehicle and stated to R/O their ex-boyfriend struck them in the head with a cup during a domestic dispute while inside the vehicle in the area near Eastern Market in SE. The individual exited the vehicle and fled southbound in the direction of Eastern Market. A lookout was broadcast and a canvassed of the area was conducted with negative results. R/O 2 responded and processed the scene. R/O 3 will continue to investigate. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver via word of mouth revealed no valid vehicle registration and no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During prisoner processing an identification card was found on the Suspect. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant held by the District of Columbia. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1st OFFENSE, AND NO PERMIT | 10:47:00 | 260716002339 | R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired temporary registration traveling southbound in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of K Street SW. R/O noticed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. R/O observed the Suspects eyes to be bloodshot, watery, and glassy. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND NO PERMIT | 19:33:00 | 260716002342 | R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of C Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. Upon approach of the driver's side of the vehicle, R/O detected a strong odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While monitoring the x-ray, R/O observed an unidentifiable item. As R/O conducted a secondary hand search, the individual stated that it was a knife. R/O observed a knife with a push button in which the blade pushes upward. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD | 10:45:00 | 260715002314 | R/O 1 observed an individual enter and submit to an administrative search in the screening line of the Capitol Visitor Center. While monitoring the x-ray, R/O was alerted of a potential presence of a prohibited item. R/O conducted a secondary hand search and discovered a vial with a small spoon attached to the lid additionally containing a white powdery substance. R/O 2 responded and tested the substance. The substance presumptively tested positive for Ketamine. R/O 3 and R/O 4 responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
