| CARRYING A PISTOL WITIHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 16:08:00 | 260620002036 | R/O observed a vehicle parked in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW with white smoke coming from the engine. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registration was suspended. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. During the course of the investigation, the Suspect stated there was a firearm in the glovebox and they did not possess a concealed carry license. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed a firearm containing thirteen (13) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber. CIS responded to Headquarters to interview the Suspect and confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not possess a license to carry in the District of Columbia. | |
| NO PERMIT + USE OF UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE | 1:35:00 | 260620002029 | R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red traffic signal at the intersection of North Capitol and H Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the vehicle revealed the vehicle was not registered. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland drivers permit with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FAILURE TO OBEY OFFICER | 8:08:00 | 260618002002 | R/O observed a vehicle passing the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SE, swerving aggressively and erratically from the westbound lanes into the eastbound lanes into oncoming traffic. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of New Jersey and Independence Avenues SE. Upon approach, R/O was unable to see inside the vehicle due to the extremely dark tint. R/O asked the Suspect to roll the windows down, which the Suspect refused. As R/O attempted to open the drivers door the Suspect pulled the door back closed. The Suspect continued to disregard lawful orders and asked for a supervisor. Once A/O arrived on scene, the Suspect exited the vehicle and was placed in handcuffs. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to USCP Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed that their driving privileges were suspended in Virginia, with no status on file in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Complainant stated that a male approached her and struck her in the face, then the Suspect dragged the Complainant into the roadway. The Complainant gave a detailed description and all efforts to locate the Suspect were met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING, PROPERTY DAMAGE | 3:09:00 | 260616001980 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of a property damage accident. The Complainant stated that while their vehicle was parked at the location it was struck. A Witness at the location confirmed the Complainants vehicle was struck by the vehicle parked behind it. R/O also observed paint and scratches on both vehicles at the same height and locations consistent with being involved in a collision. The Witness stated the Suspect collided with the Complainants vehicle, made no attempt to notify, and walked away into a nearby building. R/O was able to locate the Suspect via the Witnesss description and an ID visible inside the Suspects vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | 0:01:00 | 260614001959 | R/O observed the driver of a vehicle manipulating their phone and making an improper turn in the 200 block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. The Suspect was asked multiple times to exit the vehicle and initially refused to do so. However, the Suspect eventually complied. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
