POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON, CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE, NO PERMIT, POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, AND POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 21:16:00 260813002650 R/O 1 observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of D Street NE. R/O 1 observed the Suspect had a square device held up in their mouth. The vehicle then did a U-Turn and proceeded westbound in the Unit Block of D Street NE. R/O noticed the vehicle parked on the north curb of the same location. R/O 1 conducted a traffic stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the registration revealed a suspended and expired status. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license out of Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O 1 observed a black handgun with a magazine directly in front of the driver's seat on the floorboard with no serial numbers or identifying marks. R/O 1 asked the suspect if they had a permit for the handgun, to which the Suspect denied. R/O 1 found an open container with an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage on the rear passenger side floorboard. R/O 2 and R/O 3 responded to process the scene.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS), POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION AND UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 6:00:00 260813002642 R/O 1 observed an individual enter a House office building and placed their bag through the x-rays machine. During the screening process, R/O 1 observed what appeared to be a loaded handgun on the x-ray monitor. R/O 2 and R/O 3 responded to the scene. A physical inspection of the individual's bag revealed a handgun loaded with ten (10) rounds of 9mm ammunition. R/O 4 and R/O 5 responded to the scene. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the Individual does not possess a permit to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing.
RESISTING ARREST, ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER, POSSESION PROHIBITED WEAPON, CARRY DANGEROUS WEAPON 13:33:00 260812002639 R/O observed an individual enter and submit to an administrative search in a Senate Office Building. While monitoring the X-ray, A/O observed a sharp object. As A/O conducted a secondary hand search, a homemade sword was located inside of the bag. A/O approached the Suspect to detain him, and he started to resist arrest and began to snatch his arm from the Officers. After Suspect was taken into custody, a search of his belongings revealed brass knuckles located in his bag. Crime Scene responded to process the scene. CID responded to interview the Suspect, but he refused to talk to them. While preparing to move the Suspect from prisoner processing to CPEP for a mental evaluation, the Suspect became combative and struck an Officer. The Suspect was transported to the Hospital for an evaluation.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 12:15:00 260811002631 R/O was taking a lost property report of a missing phone recovered by an employee in the Capitol Visitor Center. R/O answered the phone when it rang and the Suspect on the phone threatened the officer.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 8:46:00 268010002622 R/O observed an individual sitting in the 200 Block of F Street NE talking to themself. R/O made contact with the individual who indicated they needed to be in protective custody because the police are out to get them. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed an extraditable warrant out of Illinois. The warrant was confirmed through USCP Communications as fully extraditable. The Suspect was placed under arrest and Transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE 0:08:00 260810002619 R/O observed a vehicle with no illuminated lights travelling through the Unit Block of M Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of First and K Streets SE. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 6:53:00 260810002621 R/O was approached by a Witness that stated an individual threw a rock at the window of a building in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW causing it to shatter. Another Witness stated the individual walked westbound on Louisiana Avenue NW and provided a video surveillance photo image of the individual to R/O. A canvass of the area was conducted. The individual was located and stopped in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. After confirming the identity, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to photograph and process the scene.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 3:36:00 260810002620 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through two red traffic lights without stopping while traveling eastbound on Columbus Circle NE. R/O attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE, but the vehicle continued to drive while straddling multiple lanes. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. During the course of the stop, the driver made several strange, delusional statements. Suspecting alcohol or drug use, R/O initiated SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 4:22:00 260809002613 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 100 Block of Third Street SW with no tail lights and expired registration. While attempting to stop, the vehicle drove over the curb. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Second Street SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage from the vehicle. The driver had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The Suspect refused SFST. Due to signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 9:22:00 260809002615 R/O observed an individual shatter a window of a business located in the 400 Block of C Street SW by striking it with their fist. A subject stop was conducted at the same location. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 responded to process the scene.
