A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. When speaking to the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O found an open bottle of beer on the passenger-side floorboard. | |
| TRAFFIC– DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 0:59:00 | 251129003594 | R/O and A/O observed a vehicle driving on its rims, traveling southbound in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a valid driving status. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect eyes were bloodshot red and the Suspect was slow to respond to questions. The Suspect admitted to smoking marijuana four hours prior. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC– DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 4:03:00 | 251129003595 | R/O observed a vehicle sit for two light cycles in the 100 Block of M Street SE. On the third light cycle, the Suspect made a left turn onto New Jersey Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed negative results. Upon approach, R/O observed a water bottle in the cup holder filled with a cigarette bud floating in a brown substance with green buds. R/O also observed the Suspects slurred speech. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT | 1:40:00 | 251128003589 | R/O conducted a random WALES/NCIC check of a tag affixed to a vehicle travelling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street. The inquiry revealed the vehicle's registration was expired. Upon further observing the vehicle change lanes and turn without the use of a turn signal, RO conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM / UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION PRESENT IN MOTOR VEHICLE CONTAINING FIREARM | 0:01:00 | 251125003588 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed a vehicle operating without running lights fail to maintain its lane of travel while proceeding through the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. During the course of the stop, what appeared to be a firearms case was observed within the passenger compartment of the vehicle. When asked about the case, the driver advised it contained a shotgun and some ammunition. Furthermore, the driver stated they had been driving with the firearm in the vehicle for multiple days. A subsequent search verified the case contained an unloaded 12-guage shotgun and five (5) rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed neither the firearm nor its ammunition were registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of H Street NE. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed the drivers eyes were red and their speech was slurred. A/O detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters from processing. | |

Crime scene responded and processed the scene. CSS conducted a field test, which came back positive for Ketamine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the confirmed the tags were expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NW. The driver failed to exhibit an operators permit and provided a name and D.O.B. to verify their identity. That name and D.O.B. belonged to another individual. A WALES/NCIC check of the drivers true name, revealed no operators permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE | 9:45:00 | 251125003564 | R/O observed an individual enter the screening line in the Capitol Visitor Center. During the process, an alert showed there were items in the individuals pant pocket. Once items were removed, R/O noticed a plastic zip-lock baggie containing a white powdery substance. CSS responded to the scene and field tested the substance positive for cocaine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
