A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver did not possess a driver's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. R/O observed the driver speaking rapidly and their nostrils were flared, which is a sign of the central nervous system stimulant insufflation. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT | 16:01:00 | 260417001231 | R/O observed a motorcycle traveling westbound in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with no tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had no driver's permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O then observed the vehicle make a lane change without signaling, come to a complete stop in the crosswalk while at a red light, sit idle through a full traffic light cycle, and make a wide turn crossing the line into oncoming traffic upon entering the Unit Block of D Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT | 1:26:00 | 260416001200 | R/O was flagged down by a Suspect to an assault that occurred in the 800 Block of First Street NE. Once on scene, RO was advised that the Suspect and Complainant are acquaintances. The Suspect stated he was wrestling and grappling with the Complainant in an attempt to retrieve his phone. The Suspect stated the Complainant made no attempts to fight back. RO observed a noticeable laceration to the upper right lip of the Complainant and injuries to the left elbow, upper right arm, and upper right elbow. CSS responded to process the scene and take photos. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE HOME/BUSINESS + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTRED AMMUNITION | 8:18:00 | 260415001182 | R/O observed an individual drive to the Offsite Delivery screening. While conducting an administrative search of the vehicle, the screener observed what appeared to be the butt of a handgun in a black case. Further investigation of the case confirmed it was in fact an unloaded 9mm handgun and a loaded 10 round magazine. The individual admitted to owning the handgun. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the individual does not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. CSS processed the scene. CIS were notified. | |
| CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING OR INCOMMODING | 11:01:01 | 260415001185 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 were posted outside of a room in a House Office Building for a committee hearing. While on post, R/O observed multiple individuals loudly chanting and holding signs inside the committee, causing a disruption. The individuals were escorted out of the committee, placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT TWO | 9:30:00 | 260415001183 | R/O responded to a Library of Congress Building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated the Segway was locked to a bike rack outside of the building at approximately 1100 hours and they returned around 1930 hours and noticed the Segway was gone. A canvass of the area to locate the property and/or Suspect was met with negative results. |
