NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 10:15:00 260502001410 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of H Street NE with suspected expired vehicle registration. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the expired status and the tag belonging to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed an expired District of Columbia drivers license and no valid permit status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE 2:21:00 260501001394 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red light at the intersection of South Capitol and M Streets SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of M Street SW. R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were glassy and bloodshot and spoke in a slurred speech. Additionally, R/O observed a 200mL bottle of alcohol in the rear seat of the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 15:53:00 260501001404 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with suspected expired registration. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed the expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted at Delaware Avenue and D Street NE. While conversing with the driver, R/O smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ROBBERY + THEFT SECOND DEGREE 22:54:00 260501001406 R/O was approached by a Complainant at First and C Streets NE, who stated an individual punched them in the face an stole their sweatshirt. R/O made contact with the individual in the 300 Block of First Street NE. When questioned, the individual stated they found the sweatshirt in Lower Senate Park. A witness corroborated the Complainant's account. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 11:09:00 260501001395 R/O observed an individual enter a Library of Congress Building and place their bag through the x-ray machine. During the screening process, an image on the X-ray monitor displayed what appeared to be a loaded handgun magazine. An administrative search of the individuals bag revealed a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the individual did not possess a permit to carry ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and interviewed the Suspect.
NO PERMIT + ALTERED TAGS 20:51:00 260430001392 R/O observed a vehicle with an altered tag traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an expired registration reflecting a different expiration date than the one shown on the tag. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 11:51:00 260430001380 R/O was assigned to a committee hearing in a Senate Office Building. R/O observed the Suspect chanting loudly while holding a sign, disrupting the committee activity. The Suspect was warned to stop demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 16:45:00 260428001362 R/O responded to the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW for a report of a man with a gun. RO observed the Suspect in a vehicle in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. The Suspect was detained by RO and while being frisked for weapons stated, "the gun is in the car." The Complainant said the Suspect was asked to move his vehicle multiple times as it was blocking the hotel drive. The Complainant then said the Suspect argued and eventually pulled out a handgun from their bag. A District of Columbia Registry check revealed the Suspect has a valid license to carry a concealed firearm in the District of Columbia. CSS responded and processed the scene. CSS observed a small clear baggie with a white powdery substance inside the Suspect's satchel which tested positive for Cocaine HCL. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS + COUNTERFEIT VEHICLE DOCS 16:42:00 260427001346 R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be fraudulent temporary West Virginia tags in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed there was no record of them on file. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. During the course of the stop, the driver provided additional documents indicating the vehicle was registered in West Virginia, which were revealed to be fraudulent upon conducting a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's VIN. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 20:48:00 260426001334 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on D Street NE displaying an expired registration sticker failing to maintain a lane of travel. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NE. R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a vehicle inventory, R/O discovered an open bottle containing a yellowish liquid having an odor consistent with alcohol.
