DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + POSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 21:52:00 | 250427001322 | R/O observed an individual vomiting outside the driver's side door of a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Virginia Avenue SW. Upon approaching the individual, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from both the Suspect and the vehicle. Furthermore, R/O noticed the individual's speech was slurred and their eyes were glassy. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered an open bottle containing an alcoholic beverage on the passenger-side floorboard, as well as two (2) additional open bottles containing alcoholic beverages in the trunk. | |
CARRY PISTOL W/O LIC - OUTSIDE HOME/BUSINESS + DUI - 1ST OFF CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL W/ IMPAIRED POSS. OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF PROHIB. WEAPON POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAW. POSS. OF FIREAR | 02:39:00 | 250427001318 | R/O observed a vehicle stopped just south of the Third Street Tunnel on Interstate 395 South. Due to the vehicle's location, R/O initiated a welfare check. Upon approach, R/O discovered an unconscious individual in the driver's seat of the vehicle. R/O also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. Upon observing the grip of a handgun in the vehicle's center console, R/O directed all occupants to exit the vehicle. The individual found in the driver's seat stated the firearm belonged to them, and they had a concealed carry permit issued through Maryland but not the District of Columbia. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters. Once at Headquarters, the Suspect was subjected to a battery of SFSTs, which revealed multiple signs of impairment. CSS responded to the vehicle and recovered the following items while conducting an inventory search: one (1) unloaded .40 caliber handgun, two (2) 10-round .40 caliber magazines, twenty-three (23) rounds of .40 caliber ammunition, two (2) 12 gauge shotgun shells, one (1) 12 gauge drum magazine, and a pair of metal knuckles. CIS was contacted and verified through the Metropolitan Police Department's gun registry that the Suspect had neither a firearm registered nor a license to carry in the District of Columbia. | |
FAILURE TO APPEAR (x2) | 22:05:00 | 250427001321 | R/O was flagged down by a citizen who reported an individual possibly suffering from an overdose in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O responded to the area and discovered an individual lying on the ground and muttering incoherently. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect. A WALES/NCIC check of the individual revealed they were subject to two (2) active bench warrants issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Upon confirmation of the warrants, the Suspect was placed under arrest. After receiving medical treatment commensurate with their level of intoxication, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + RECKLESS DRIVING | 20:47:00 | 250427001320 | R/O observed a vehicle revving its engine in the vicinity of North Capitol and G Streets NW. The vehicle was then seen driving at a high rate of speed with no regard for other motorists. After observing the vehicle make an illegal turn at a red light without coming to a complete stop, R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. During the course of the stop, R/O observed that the driver's eyes were glassy and there was a faint odor of alcohol emanating from both the vehicle and the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
NO PERMIT - 2ND OFFENSE + COUNTERFEIT TAGS | 17:34:00 | 250427001319 | R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be counterfeit tags in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle, as well as expired. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE + FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, RECKLESS DRIVING UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE FAILURE TO OBEY ORDER | 16:54:00 | 250426001316 | R/O observed a vehicle with a broken rear window at the drive-through of a fast food restaurant in the 1400 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed it was stolen out of Washington, D.C. Upon approach, R/O gave the Suspect multiple orders to place the vehicle in park and exit. The Suspect failed to obey R/O's orders, accelerated their vehicle, and struck A/O's cruiser when they fled the scene. The Suspect was last seen heading eastbound in the 1400 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - SECOND OFFENSE + PERMIT REVOKED - OAR POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 3:50:00 | 250426001300 | R/O observed a vehicle come to an abrupt stop at the red traffic signal in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue at North Capitol Street NW. R/O observed the vehicle accelerate at a high rate of speed when the traffic signal turned green and witnessed the Suspect make several traffic violations. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Fourth Street NE. R/O approached the Suspect and smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects breath. A WALES/NCIC inquiry was initiated a revealed the Suspects District of Columbia operators permit was revoked with no status in Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the Suspects vehicle revealed a flask with an alcoholic beverage on the front passenger seat. | |

Once on the scene, the Complainant stated while stopped in the Unit Block of Second Street SE, a vehicle rear ended them and then fled the scene. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Maryland Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) | 17:09:00 | 250425001298 | R/O responded to a report of a fight in progress at Union Station. Upon entering Union Station, R/O observed A/O detaining the Suspect. A/O stated to R/O he was struck by the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transferred to Headquarters for processing. CIS and TAS were notified and conducted an interview of the Suspect. |
