NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 21:14:00 250522001734 R/O observed a vehicle bearing what appeared to be counterfeit temporary Maryland tags travelling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle as well as expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY 16:25:00 250522001728 R/O observed a vehicle matching the description of one known to bear stolen Maryland tags traveling in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags affixed to the vehicle confirmed they were registered to a different vehicle and reported as stolen out of Montgomery County, Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of C Street NE. During the course of the stop, the driver stated the vehicle was recently purchased and the tags came with it. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 21:17:00 250522001735 R/O observed a vehicle operating without running headlights travelling in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed a suspended registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRUG POSSESSION + NO PERMIT COUNTERFEIT TAGS 1:22:00 250522001709 R/O observed a vehicle with an inoperable brake light stopped at the traffic signal at the intersection of Third Street and Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's temporary tag revealed the it was not registered. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O noticed the tag appeared to be counterfeit. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no valid operators permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest. Upon conducting a search incident to arrest, several small bags containing a white powdery substance, which field tested positive for cocaine, were discovered amongst the Suspect's belongings. The Suspect was then transported to Headquarters for processing.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 22:57:00 250521001717 R/O responded to the intersection of Second Street and D Street NE for a report of a traffic accident. Once on the scene, the Complainant stated an unknown vehicle struck their vehicle's passenger side causing minor damage and then fled the scene. A canvass for the vehicle and witnesses was negative. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT (THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES) 6:30:00 250521001700 R/O responded to the 200 Block of South Capitol Street SE for a theft report. The Complainant stated they parked their vehicle at 0630 hours at the same location. When they returned at approximately 1500 hours, he noticed his license plate was missing. No further damage was reported. CID investigating.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 11:02:00 250521001694 R/O was working a screening post and observed possible ammunition in a handbag on the x-ray screen at the North Carriage Door of the Library of Congress Jefferson Building. R/O conducted admin search of the individual's bag and recovered a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and interviewed the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 10:46:00 250521001693 R/Os responded to multiple individuals yelling inside and outside a committee hearing in the Rayburn House Office Building. All Suspects were advised to desist demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 19:05:00 250521001704 A/O observed vehicle at Washington Ave and Independence Ave SW with no registration stickers displayed. A traffic stop was conducted at 300 Independence Avenue SW. A check of the vehicles vin number returned as salvaged with no registration status in VA. A check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in DC, MD, or VA. The Suspect displayed glassy and red eyes. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. While conducting a vehicle inventory search, R/O discovered a plastic cup in the center console which smelled of an alcoholic beverage consistent with tequila.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:36:00 250521001697 R/O heard shouting inside a committee hearing in the Rayburn House Office Building. The Suspect was advised to desist demonstration activity, but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
