A traffic stop was conducted at 1100 Block of Half Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver confirmed the revoked permit and no drivers status in Maryland or Virginia. A worker at the job site noticed a Steam Jenny valued at approximately $11,000 was missing from the location. The item was last seen on February 20, 2026. All attempts to locate the item were met with negative results. CIS will continue to investigate. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a vehicle inventory search, R/O located tools and exposed wires which led R/O to believe the motorcycle was stolen. The vehicle owner was contacted and denied giving permission to anyone to operate their vehicle. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. S/A was notified. | |

R/O approached the driver and helped them out of the vehicle. R/O noticed the driver's eyes were bloodshot and watery, and their speech was slow and incoherent. SFST's were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed no valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest, revealed two hand rolled, partially smoked marijuana cigarettes and four wrapped paper packages containing a green weed-like substance. the substance was field tested positive for synthetic cannabinoids. A/O responded and processed the scene. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a revoked District of Columbia operator's permit and no status in Maryland or Virginia. Upon further investigation, the Suspect stated they went to the gun range over the weekend and forgot to remove the ammunition from the vehicle. CSS responded and discovered a magazine in the center console of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON, USE OF AN UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE, COUNTERFEIT TAGS, ALTERED TAGS | 16:38:00 | 260330000990 | R/O observed a vehicle bearing white piece of paper displaying a tag, traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag showed no record on file for all fifty states. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW. The Suspect could not produce proof of registration or insurance. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN on the windshield revealed an expired registration. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a black folding knife with fixed metal knuckles. Crime Scene responded to process the scene. Two tags were found concealed beneath the paper counterfeit tags. A WALES/NCIC check revealed them as expired as well. A registration was found in the glove compartment with the same information as the expired tags. |
