A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of C Street NE. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the driver had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A subsequent WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the individual was subject to an extraditable warrant issued out of Maryland. A/O responded to the facility and confirmed the warrant through Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS IDENTITY THEFT SECOND DEGREE FAIL TO EXHIBIT LICENSE | 18:02:00 | 250817002687 | R/O conducted a random WALES/NCIC check of a tag affixed to a vehicle travelling through the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. The inquiry revealed the tag was registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. During the course of the stop, the driver did not provide a drivers permit when asked but offered their name by word of mouth. A WALES/NCIC check of the name revealed the individual's Maryland operator's permit had been surrendered and they had no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While in Headquarters, the LiveScan identification procedure revealed the Suspect's identity did not match the name that was provided. A subsequent WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's actual name revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT | 22:18:00 | 250817002688 | R/O responded to a report of two individuals fighting in the Unit Block of D Street SW. Upon arrival, R/O observed two people involved in what appeared to be a physical altercation. Both individuals then attempted to flee but were eventually stopped without incident. During the course of the subsequent investigation, neither person was cooperative. However, a nearby surveillance camera captured the incident and revealed both individuals assaulted one another. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was advised of the offense. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 2:04:00 | 250817009011 | R/O observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel while driving through the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of C Street NE. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. Furthermore, R/O noticed the driver slurred their speech and had glassy eyes. SFSTs were subsequently administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the driver's eyes appeared glazed over. SFSTs were subsequently administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
