A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's passport revealed the Suspect did not possess a valid drivers license in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. R/O conducted a tag check on the vehicle that revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a surrendered license out of the District of Columbia, a valid District of Columbia Identification Card, and no permit status in Maryland or Virginia. NO PERMIT + FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS RECKLESS DRIVING | 1:05:00 | 25032200823 | R/O observed a vehicle with no running headlights on, traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag returned with no registration on file in Virginia. A traffic stop was attempted in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW, at which time the Suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for a red traffic light. During a routine patrol of the area, R/O entered the Third Street Tunnel southbound from Fourth Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW and observed the same Suspect vehicle stopped with extensive and disabling damage. Upon approach, R/O confirmed the license plate on the rear bumper of the crashed vehicle and the eluding vehicle were the same. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. Further investigation revealed the vehicle identification number did not match the tag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O found an open bottle of Tequila on the passenger side floorboard which was consistent of an alcoholic beverage. | |

R/O conducted a tag check on the vehicle that revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license out of the District of Columbia with no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + POSS W/I TO DIST MARIJUANA - FEL POSS W/I TO DIST A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NO PERMIT | 16:56:00 | 250321000819 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound with an expired tag in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia and an extraditable warrant out of Rockville, MD. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, CSS found, and field tested 2.7 ounces of a green leafy plant material that tested positive for THC and several yellowish rocks that tested positive for Amphetamines. Additionally, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a large amount of cash was found in the vehicle. CIS was notified. | |
POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS WEAPONS | 9:46:00 | 250320000802 | R/O observed an individual submit to a voluntary, administrative search upon entering a Senate Office Building. During the course of the search, R/O discovered a holster containing an OC spray device in the shape of a firearm around the person's ankle. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
NO PERMIT | 0:31:00 | 250319000785 | R/O responded to a report of a person experiencing a medical emergency in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Upon arriving on scene, R/O discovered an unresponsive individual sitting in the driver's seat of an idling vehicle. Emergency medical services were subsequently requested. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Once the Suspect received appropriate medical treatment, they were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | 7:30:00 | 250319000786 | R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Building for a theft report. Once on the scene, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated that a unknown subject stole a cactus from the display. The cactus was last seen on March 18, 2025 at approximately 1000 hours. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
FLEE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER + RESISTING ARREST ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | 1:55:00 | 250318000767 | R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn onto the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was associated with a wanted person. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of C Street NE. The Suspect failed to yield and fled to the alley in the rear of the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE where they exited the vehicle. R/O exited his vehicle and gave multiple verbal commands to the Suspect. The Suspect ignored the repeated commands and proceeded past the R/O, who was attempting to grab the Suspect. The Suspect proceeded into a dwelling in the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. The R/O met the Suspect at the door of the location. The Suspect closed the door on the R/Os foot causing a minor injury. The Suspect remained locked in the location and refused to come out. R/O cleared the scene and the Suspect remains at large. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects vehicle revealed the VIN did not match the tag displayed on the vehicle. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
FAILURE TO APPEAR | 21:57:00 | 250318000784 | R/O observed an individual who was known to be wanted at the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. As subject stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check verified the individual was subject to an active bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once USCP Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
