DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONATINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 4:03:00 251220003778 R/O observed a vehicle with its hazards on sit through the light cycle at the intersection of South Capitol and I Streets SW. A welfare check was conducted at the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect sitting in the driver's seat with their head slumped forward. R/O began to knock on the window and yelled for the driver to wake up. After a few attempts, the Suspect regained consciousness. While conversing with the Suspect, the R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted. During a search incident to arrest, A/O found a 1/3 fulll 375 ML bottle of Teremana Resposado located in the right calf pocket of the Suspect coveralls. Due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE - FELONY, UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICHLE NO VALID PERMIT RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER - FELONY 20:49:00 251219003775 R/O, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling Westbound in the 200 Block of C Street SW matching the description of a stolen vehicle. A WALES/ NCIC check of the vehicle revealed it was reported stolen out of Fairfax County, VA. R/O conducted a felony stop at the intersection of Third and C Streets SW. While on scene, the Suspect revealed they were given the vehicle from a friend to use for a couple of weeks. Both Suspects stated they were unaware that the vehicle was stolen. A WALES/ NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications revealed the driver only had an Identification card in the District of Columbia and no driving status in the Maryland or Virginia. Both Suspects were arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded to process the scene and the vehicle. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC- LEAVING SCENE- PROPERY DAMAGE 10:00:00 251219003771 R/O responded to a report of a damaged vehicle in the 100 Block of Second Street NE. The Complainant stated that he was parallel parking when the Suspect attempted to pass his vehicle striking the Complainant's right front bumper. The Suspect failed to pull over and fled the scene. S/A responded and processed the scene.
SIMPLE ASSAULT 12:20:00 251219003772 R/O responded to a report of an assault at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building. The Complainant stated that on December 18, 2025, while attending a work holiday event in the break room, the Suspect made verbal threats and attempted to swing at the Complainant's head. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE 4:44:00 251218003458 R/O was dispatched to I-395 prior to exit nine for an unattended vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, R/O observed the vehicle had a flat tire. R/O observed an individual laid back in the driver's seat breathing but unconscious. R/O opened the door, shook the driver and noticed their eyes were glassy and speech slurred. R/O also smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 23:41:00 251216003747 R/O and A/O observed a vehicle perform an illegal U-Turn in the intersection of Second Street and Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. Upon approach to the vehicle, A/O detected a moderate odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle and the Suspect's purse, R/O and A/O located several half-full containers that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage.
THEFT IN THE SECOND DEGREE 18:00:00 251216003743 R/O was approached by the Complainant who stated their scooter was missing from the 200 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. The Complainant stated they last saw the scooter on December 15, 2025, at approximately 0915 hours. The Complainant returned to find it missing on December 16, 2025, at approximately 1800 hours. A canvass of the area for the property or the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 15:10:00 251216003739 R/O responded to a report of a traffic crash in the 100 Block of Independence SE. The Complainant stated the Suspect vehicle struck the front driver's side of their vehicle causing minor damage. After briefly speaking to the Complainant, the Suspect fled the scene without providing identifying information. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 0:10:00 251216003734 R/O observed a vehicle strike the curb and subsequently come to a stop while travelling through the Unit Block of First Street NW. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location, and A/O responded to assist. During the course of the stop, A/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. An open bottle of wine was seen in plain view on the vehicle's passenger seat. Additionally, the driver appeared sluggish and slurred their words while speaking. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CONTEMPT OF COURT 23:27:00 251215003733 R/O observed an individual believed to be subject to an active stay away order on the Senate Plaza of the U.S. Capitol Building. USCP CIS was contacted and verified the person was issued a court order directing them to stay away from U.S. Capitol Grounds that remained in effect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
