FLEE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER + RESISTING ARREST ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 1:55:00 250318000767 R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn onto the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was associated with a wanted person. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of C Street NE. The Suspect failed to yield and fled to the alley in the rear of the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE where they exited the vehicle. R/O exited his vehicle and gave multiple verbal commands to the Suspect. The Suspect ignored the repeated commands and proceeded past the R/O, who was attempting to grab the Suspect. The Suspect proceeded into a dwelling in the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. The R/O met the Suspect at the door of the location. The Suspect closed the door on the R/Os foot causing a minor injury. The Suspect remained locked in the location and refused to come out. R/O cleared the scene and the Suspect remains at large. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects vehicle revealed the VIN did not match the tag displayed on the vehicle. CIS will continue to investigate.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 21:57:00 250318000784 R/O observed an individual who was known to be wanted at the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. As subject stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check verified the individual was subject to an active bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once USCP Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:27:00 250318000779 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired tag travelling through the 100 Block Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:54:00 250317000764 R/O observed an individual manipulating their mobile phone while driving their vehicle in the Unit Block of H Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the South Carolina tags affixed to the vehicle revealed they were suspended. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended South Carolina operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 17:44:00 250317000763 R/O observed a vehicle fail to yield the right of way to a pedestrian using a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Half and I Streets SE. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCEOF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 15:35:00 250317000758 R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be expired temporary Virginia tags traveling in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Furthermore, R/O detected an odor consistent with marijuana emanating from the Suspects vehicle during the course of the stop. SFSTs were administered and multiple signs of impairment were detected. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 20:20:00 250317000766 R/O observed a vehicle change lanes without the use of a turn signal while traveling in the Unit Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the District of Columbia tags affixed to the vehicle tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:32:00 250316000743 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired temporary tag traveling westbound in the Unit Block of H Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of H Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 16:22:00 250315000741 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search, of the vehicle two opened bottles of alcohol were found.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 0:31:00 250315000738 R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be counterfeit tags driving in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. RO subsequently attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The vehicle sped away in a reckless manner and struck another vehicle at the intersection of Second Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. Despite the collision, the vehicle continued to flee eastbound through the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. CSS responded to process the accident scene. CIS was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate.
