DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 0:47:00 250623002036 R/O observed a vehicle with visible damage stopped near the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. R/O initiated a welfare check and discovered a person sitting in the vehicle's passenger seat. During the subsequent conversation, the individual stated they were driving the vehicle when it crashed. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the drivers breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the course of an inventory search of the vehicle, a plastic cup containing a liquid that smelled like an alcoholic beverage was discovered in the center console cup holder.
NO PERMIT 16:23:00 250623002051 R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Second Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 19:21:00 250622002033 R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed a vehicle bearing Virginia tags that were registered to a different vehicle, per a WALES/NCIC check, traveling in the Unit Block of I Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of K Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Furthermore, several open alcoholic beverage containers were observed in clear view on the rear floorboard of the vehicle and a moderately strong odor of alcohol was emanating from its interior. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS + FELON IN POSS. POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMO POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE RECEIVING STOL 17:32 250621002030 R/O observed an individual in Lower Senate Park experiencing medical distress. While rendering aid, R/O observed a firearm in the Suspect's waistband. R/O disarmed the Suspect by removing the firearm from the Suspect's person. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed negative results. The firearm appeared to be a 9mm with a fifteen round magazine, loaded with twelve rounds and one round in the chamber. CSS responded to process the scene and seize the recovered firearm. CIS conducted a query through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit and confirmed the Suspect did not have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. A WALES/NCIC check of the firearm revealed the firearm had been reported stolen out of Prince George's County, Maryland. Additionally, further investigation of Law Enforcement databases revealed the Suspect was a convicted felon as of May 2023. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - FELONY 18:02:00 250620002027 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of First Street NW, failure to yield right of way to pedestrians in the crosswalk at Garfield Circle SW. As R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the Suspect fled. The Suspect drove through the intersection at Third Street and Maryland Avenue and SW and continued westbound on Independence Ave SW. At which time the R/O lost sight of the vehicle. Approximately thirty minutes later, R/O observed the same vehicle, traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of E Street NE, swerving into oncoming traffic and passing through a red traffic signal at Second and Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended commercial license out of Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING 11:42:00 250620002023 R/O observed several individuals chanting loudly and blocking vehicular traffic by sitting in the intersection at First and East Capitol Street NE. The individuals were given warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to comply. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:19:00 250620002026 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NE with damaged temporary tags. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the Unit Block of G Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE 9:15:00 250620002022 R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for a report of a theft. R/O met with the Complainant who stated the individual took food from the self-service bar and left the cafeteria without paying for the food. The Complainant identified the individual to R/O who subsequently stopped the individual in the hallway. A Witness confirmed the individual did not purchase their food before leaving the cafeteria. The Suspect under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE 14:50:00 250617001994 R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated an individual removed a cart out the west service door and were last seen pushing the cart north on Third Street at Independence Avenue SW. All attempts to locate the Suspect and property were met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
FAILURE TO APPEAR x2 + BAIL REFORM ACT - FELONY 17:15:00 250617002003 R/O observed the Suspect whom he recognized to have active warrants in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Suspect was detained in the same location. A WALES\NCIC check revealed two active warrants issued by the DC Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
