DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 1:24:00 250706002231 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound at a high rate of speed, with its headlights off, in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. R/O initiated a traffic stop and the suspect increased the vehicle speed and ignored R/O's attempts at stopping them. The suspect finally brought the vehicle to a stop in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in this same area. The Suspect was slow to respond when answering R/O's questions. A/O observed that the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot and they were wearing a blue wristband commonly associated with bars to signify legal drinking age. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 21:55:00 250706002235 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE displaying what R/O recognized to be counterfeit rear tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired DC permit, and no permit status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING + OPERATION OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES AND DIRT BIKES 19:31:00 250705002226 R/O observed ATVs and dirt bikes operating recklessly in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was attempted, however, the group surrounded the police cruiser and then fled the area. CIS was notified.
CARRYING DANGEROUS WEAPON (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) 23:36:00 250706002230 R/O responded to a call for a Suspect with a "bowie knife" in the 500 Block of Third Street NW. Upon arrival, R/O observed the Suspect holding a large knife and making nonsensical statements. R/O and additional officers ordered the Suspect to lower their weapon, but they refused. A TASER Energy Weapon (TEW) was deployed unsuccessfully. Officers were eventually able to make the Suspect lower their weapon and they were placed in handcuffs. A/O was explaining to the Suspect what the charges were when the Suspect became combative. The Suspect kicked A/O and spit on both the A/O and R/O. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER + UNLAWFUL ENTRY 20:56:00 250704002216 R/O observed an individual attempting to enter the First Street and Constitution Avenue NW barricade, which was a restricted area. Officers advised the individual multiple times not to enter. R/O observed the individual pushed past R/O and entered the restricted area of the First Street and Constitution Avenue NW barricade. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 16:30:00 250704002212 R/O responded to New Jersey Avenue for a report of an individual who appeared to be jiggling a door handle of a residence in the area. Upon arrival, R/O observed a male matching the description given by USCP Communications standing adjacent to the residence. A WALES/NCIC check of the individual revealed an active, warrant out of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY + RESISTING ARREST 21:15:00 250704002217 R/O observed an individual attempt to get into a secure area near the Capitol Concert. R/O conducted at stop of the individual. As R/O began to question the individual, the individual became agitated and attempted to enter the restrictive area a second time. As R/O attempted to place the individual under arrest, the individual tensed up his arms in front of his body and refused to place his hands behind his back. With the assistance of multiple officers, the Suspect was eventually placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 1:07:00 250703002196 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the opposing lanes of traffic through the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + DRUG POSSESSION CONSUMPTION OF MARIJUANA IN A PUBLIC SPACE PROHIBITED 14:49:00 250702002187 R/O observed an individual smoking a pipe emanating the odor of marijuana in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O confirmed the pipe contained a green leafy that tested with a presumptive positive for THC. A WALES/NCIC check showed an active extraditable warrant from the Montgomery County Sherriffs Office, Pennsylvania. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- 1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL- VEHICLE 12:03:00 250702002183 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE for the report of an impaired driver. R/O arrived at the location and was advised by A/O that the Suspect was found stopped in a crosswalk. The Suspect displayed bloodshot eyes with eyelids that were drooping. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a vehicle inventory search, R/O discovered a bottle on the passenger's seat which smelled of an alcoholic beverage consistent with whiskey.
