DEFACE PRIVATE/PUBLIC PROPERTY 17:30:00 251105003397 R/O was on patrol on the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building when they discovered an information sign with stickers covering it. After a further canvass of the area, multiple more signs were found with stickers affixed to them. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 12:28:00 251104003389 R/O observed a individual who seemed agitated and upset approaching the entrance of a Senate Office Building. R/O made contact with the individual at the same location. While the R/O was conducting his investigation, the Suspect stated that he wanted to speak with the Member Of Congress and made threatening statements towards the member. Officers on scene recognized the Suspect from a BOLO flyer. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS conducted a custodial interview while in Headquarters.
POSSESSION PROHIBITED WEAPON + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 7:28:00 251104003385 R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed an illegally parked vehicle in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue NE. R/O-1 & 2 noticed a rifle case inside the vehicle and requested a gun detection dog. Metropolitan Police Department responded with a K9, which alerted on the drivers side door. A search of the vehicle revealed thirty-seven (37) 12-gauge shotgun shells, a bow with multiple arrows, multiple knives, a machete, and a pair of brass knuckles. As the Suspect returned to the vehicle, a WALES/NCIC check was conducted and returned with no wants or warrants. The Suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 11:05:00 251104003387 R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland and no permit in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING 20:31:00 251102003373 R/O observed a vehicle traveling north in the I-395 Third Street Tunnel following another motorist too closely. The driver proceeded to make several improper lane changes and proceeding through a solid red light signal after exiting the tunnel. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Indiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUCENCE (DUI) + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 1:09:00 251102003370 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle in the 200 block of Independence Avenue SW sitting idle with the driver sitting low in the vehicle. R/O conducted a welfare check of the driver and while speaking with the driver noticed they had slurred speech and could smell a moderately strong odor of alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located an open bottle of Svedka Vodka containing a quarter amount of liquid consistent with an alcoholic beverage.
TRAFFIC - DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUCENCE (DUI) 3:10:00 251102003372 R/O, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Second Street NW with the driver asleep at the wheel. R/O woke up the driver and conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. R/O observed the driver had glassy and red eyes and could detect a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE (DUI) + RECKLESS DRIVING POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 0:40:00 251102003368 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW with no headlights activated. The vehicle sped through the intersection of 3rd Street and Independence Avenue at a high rate of speed with no headlights initiated. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O observed the driver with glassy eyes and could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. The driver slurred their speech and had to repeat themselves multiple times for clear answers to R/Os questions. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a bottle of Whiskey that was more than halfway full and opened.
TRAFFIC - DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUCENCE (DUI) + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 1:32:00 251102003371 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW with no lights activated. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. Due to suspicion of impairment, RO conducted SFSTs of the driver. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered an open Crown Royale bottle lying in the front passenger floorboard with a small amount of liquid inside of it.
NO PERMIT 17:03:00 251101003366 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE displaying an expired registration. A traffic stop was conduced in the 500 Block of C Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a cancelled driving status in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
