DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 23:11:00 251017003271 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NW with the front bumper dragging and the vehicle unable to maintain its lane. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same area. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags came back as invalid. The Suspect was unable to provide any documentation for the ownership of the tag. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O observed lethargic behavior and slurred speech. SFSTs were conducted. During the SFSTs, the Suspect paused to urinate on the sidewalk. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS), POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM, POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION, POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE 15:51:00 251016003262 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags travelling in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. Further investigation confirmed the tags were expired, so the process of towing the vehicle from the scene was initiated. While inventorying the items within the vehicle, R/O discovered a portable gun safe securing a handgun loaded with a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition, as well as a spare magazine containing 10 rounds of additional ammunition. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit revealed the sole occupant of the vehicle did not possess a license to carry a pistol, nor was the firearm registered, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. S/A-1 and S/A-2 were advised of the offense.
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) 16:00:00 251016003260 R/O was approached by an individual who claimed their electric bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack located in the 200 Block of Delaware Avenue NE. The Complainant stated they secured the bicycle to the rack with a lock at approximately 0945 hours, but they discovered their property was missing upon returning at approximately 1600 hours. Immediate attempts to locate the bicycle yielded negative results. S/A was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 9:55:00 251016003255 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE . A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Virginia operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) 15:30:00 251016003261 R/O was approached by an individual who claimed their electric scooter was stolen from a bicycle rack located in the 200 Block of Delaware Avenue NE. The Complainant stated they secured the scooter to the rack with a lock at approximately 0855 hours, but they discovered their property was missing upon returning at approximately 1530 hours. Immediate attempts to locate the scooter yielded negative results. S/A was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT, FAILURE TO EXHIBIT LICENSE 19:00:00 251016003263 R/O stopped to assist a motorist with a flat tire in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. While conversing with the driver, R/O asked to see their driver's license but one could not be provided. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:00:00 251015003253 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE with a deflated rear tire. A traffic stop was conducted at same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no permit status in Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II 8:30:00 251015003247 R/O responded to the Russell Senate Office Building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated that a twenty dollar bill of U.S. currency was taken out of a desk drawer. The last time the currency was seen was October 2nd, 2025. All attempts to locate the property were met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY 11:15:00 251014003237 R/O responded to the Dirksen Senate Office Building for a duress alarm. Upon arrival, R/O observed several individuals outside of the office chanting and banging objects to cause a disruption in the building. Some of the individual entered the room and continued their chanting. The Suspects were given warnings to cease their demonstration activity but failed to comply. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 2ND OFF 21:44:00 251014003242 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW with expired temporary tags. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the vehicle tags confirmed the expired status. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NE. During the stop, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed several open bottles of alcohol throughout the interior of the vehicle.
