DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 15:49:00 | 250329000939 | R/O observed a vehicle parked irregularly with the engine running in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NE. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O noticed the Suspect in the driver's seat asleep. R/O noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle and the breath of the Suspect. The Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy, and verbal responses were delayed. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a solo cup with liquid consistent with that of red wine and two open bottles of wine on the back seat. | |
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSS. OF UNREG. FIREARMS/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSS. OF UNREG. AMMUNITION POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE NO PERMIT POSS. OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 16:28 | 250329000941 | R/O observed a vehicle missing its front tag in the Unit Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle revealed a suspended registration out of Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a suspended permit out of Florida with no driver status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. R/O observed a red solo cup in the passenger side of the vehicle with an odor consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage. R/O asked the Suspect if there were any firearms in the vehicle and the Suspect responded in the affirmative. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene and found an open container of alcohol on the rear floorboard. CIS conducted a custodial interview, and confirmed through MPDs Gun Registration Unit the Suspect did not have a carry permit in the District of Columbia. The located firearm was confirmed to have a 17 round capacity magazine with 14 9mm rounds inside and one round in the chamber. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 3:47:00 | 250329000935 | R/O observed an individual asleep behind the wheel in a permit only parking zone. R/O conducted a welfare check in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O asked the Suspect for their identification card several times and the Suspect failed to comply. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a misdemeanor bench warrant from Prince George's County, Maryland that was confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 21:41:00 | 250328000934 | R/O observed a vehicle make multiple traffic infractions in the area of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed a suspended Maryland registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. Upon approach of the vehicle, R/O detected a moderate smell of alcohol emitting from the Suspects breath. R/O also noticed a tumbler in the vehicle. When R/O opened the tumbler to inspect it, the smell was consistent with the smell of an alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The check revealed an attempt to locate on the Suspect's vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications revealed a suspended license out of Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. A preliminary investigation determined the Suspect damaged the Complaintant's driver side door and fled the scene. An initial canvass of the area yielded negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

R/O suspected the temporary tag and registration was fraudulent and conducted a WALES check. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. The suspect admitted to buying tags from the individual who sold the car. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect through USCP Communications revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 7:09:00 | 250328000913 | R/O observed an individual enter the Sub Basement Door of the Library of Congress Madison Building and placed their book bag through the x-ray machine. During the screening process, a loaded magazine was detected. Further investigation revealed the magazine was loaded with ten (10) rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS also responded to the scene. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the Suspect did not possess a permit to carry ammunition in the District of Columbia. | |
