Upon arriving on scene, R/O discovered a vehicle with visible front-end damage. Per the Complainant, a white SUV struck their vehicle in the 200 Block of Second Street NE and subsequently fled the scene, which was corroborated by a nearby witness. Attempts to locate the striking vehicle yielded negative results. CSS processed the scene. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENCE | 21:44:00 | 2.50416E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street displaying an expired registration sticker. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the Suspect. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed no record on file. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 400 Block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Virginia operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
ASS W/ DANGEROUS WEAP + ASS ON PO (AGG ASS) DUI - 1ST OFF, FLEE FROM LEO IN A MTR VEH, FAIL TO OBEY, LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PERSONAL INJURY, RECKLESS DRIVING, POSS CTRLD SUBSTNC | 5:59:00 | 2.50114E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and C Street NW reverse at a high rate of speed southbound on New Jersey Avenue towards Constitution Avenue NW then accelerate forward and return to the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and C Street NW. The Suspect then made multiple circles in the intersection before driving at a high rate of speed towards Constitution Avenue NW. A/O attempted a traffic stop at the Intersection of South Capitol Street and Independence Avenue SW, but the Suspect accelerated through the intersection against a solid red light and proceeded to the intersection of Independence Avenue and Second Street SE. R/O initiated another traffic stop at Independence Avenue and Second Street SE and opened the driver's side door. The Suspect then placed the vehicle into reverse and struck R/O dragging him and causing multiple injuries and never stopping the vehicle. The Suspect was last seen driving westbound on Constitution Avenue and Third Street NW. A/O located the vehicle in the intersection of Second Street and C Street SE several minutes later. A/O pulled the Suspect out of the vehicle and placed her into handcuffs. During the search incident to arrest, two glass pipes filled with burnt ash and steel wool were located inside the Suspect's purse. There was also a clear plastic bag with a small amount of white powder in the passenger seat. CSS responded and tested presumptive positive for cocaine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | 6:00:00 | 2.50414E+11 | R/O responded to the Unit Block of C Street NW for the report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O was advised by a witness that a vehicle had sustained damage to the rear bumper. A preliminary crash investigation revealed that the vehicle was moved from one parking space to another then back to its original parking space when it struck a bollard by an unknown subject. The unknown subject left the scene without reporting the incident. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | 19:15:00 | 2.50413E+11 | R/O responded to the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW for the report of a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, the Witness stated that they had rented a rideshare bicycle and had gotten off of it to take pictures of the area. When they returned, the bicycle was no longer where the Witness parked it. After a search of the area, a bicycle with a matching serial number was located near the south side of Grant Memorial Statue. |
