R/O 1 & 2 made contact with the Complainant in the same location. The Complainant stated that an individual seated on a bench nearby struck him. R/O 1& 2 responded with the Complainant and made a positive confirmation. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | 8:14:00 | 250715002352 | R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of M Street SE for a report of a theft. A witness observed an individual take merchandise out of the CVS establishment in the Unit Block of I Street SE without paying for the items. The individual was last seen running westbound on M Street SE. A lookout was broadcast for the individual. A canvass of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. | |
| POSSESSION W/I TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA - MISD + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | 20:01:00 | 250715002367 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW with no front tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Third Street NW. When speaking to the Suspect, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. R/O observed a cup next to the driver's seat which contents were consistent with an alcoholic beverage. R/O located a brown paper bag containing a large zip lock bag with approximately 4.4 ounces of a green leafy plant material consistent with the size, smell and shape of raw marijuana. Also discovered was a digital scale, and thirteen (13) small plastic bags commonly used for the sale of illicit substances. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had an expired District of Columbia operator's permit and no permit status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check via USCP Communications confirmed the expired status. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended District of Columbia operators permit and no status in Maryland or Virginia. While talking to the driver, R/O detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) | 4:18:00 | 250714002344 | R/O responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of North Capitol Street NW. Per the Complainant, who serves as a Special Police Officer, an individual entered the building located at the aforementioned address and refused to leave when advised it was not open to the public at that time. As an attempt was made to escort the person out, the individual struck the Complainant with their fist and then left the building. The Suspect was eventually stopped in the Upper Senate Park. Once positively identified by the Complainant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, CIS was advised of the offense. | |
| FAILURE TO APPEAR | 12:21:00 | 250713002340 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed an individual known to have multiple warrants in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A stop was subsequently initiated at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check verified the person was subject to three (3) active warrants issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once the warrants were confirmed by Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE + NO PERMIT | 2:28:00 | 250713002339 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW that failed to maintain its lane of travel when the passenger side tires crossed over the solid white lane lines. The vehicle then entered into the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE and further straddled the hash marks while weaving within its lane of travel. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same area. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an expired license out of New Jersey, with no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O observed that the Suspect had glassy eyes, was slow to respond and had slurred speech. R/O also detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
