A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of Half Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a suspended Maryland status and no valid permit in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed a loaded handgun magazine with six rounds of 9mm ammunition in the center console. CSS observed a black handgun between the center console and the passenger seat. CSS responded and processed the scene. R/O confirmed through MPD Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect did not maintain a valid license to carry in the District of Columbia. |
