| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE + RECKLESS DRIVING POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) | 2:47:00 | 250727002505 | R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations, to include proceeding through multiple red traffic lights without stopping, while traversing the 400 Block of North Capitol Street and the Unit Block of D Street NW. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the driver's speech was slurred and detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the drivers breath. SFST were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a bottle clearly labeled as an alcoholic beverage was discovered in the drivers side door's storage compartment. | |

A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the registration of the vehicle was expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a faint odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed a half full can sitting in a cup holder with an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. R/O also observed an empty red solo cup, with residue at the bottom that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage, on the passenger floorboard. | |

Upon arrival, RO observed the subject and conducted a stop in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW. A frisk of the subject revealed a serrated kitchen knife approximately 6 inches in length. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded to processing. | |
