Upon approach, a large cloud of smoke came out from the driver's side window. R/O also detected an odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC of the driver revealed a suspended District of Columbia operators permit with no status in Maryland or Virginia. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed the drivers eyes were glassy and red. R/O also observed an open bottle tequila laying on the passenger side floorboard. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at 1100 Block of Half Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver confirmed the revoked permit and no drivers status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT I | 7:00:00 | 260402001022 | CIS was informed of a theft that occurred on February 23, 2026, at an offsite facility. A worker at the job site noticed a Steam Jenny valued at approximately $11,000 was missing from the location. The item was last seen on February 20, 2026. All attempts to locate the item were met with negative results. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
| UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE, NO PERMIT | 15:54:00 | 260401001016 | R/O observed a motorcycle displaying no visible registration in the Unit Block of H Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a vehicle inventory search, R/O located tools and exposed wires which led R/O to believe the motorcycle was stolen. The vehicle owner was contacted and denied giving permission to anyone to operate their vehicle. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. S/A was notified. |
