While conducting a canvass, R/O located an individual matching the lookout description laying in the rear seat of a vehicle in the same location. The Suspect made statements to R/O that they did not know the owner of the vehicle or have permission to be inside. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the drivers breath. The vehicle proceeded to hit a curb in the 100 Block of D Street NW where the R/O subsequently conducted a traffic stop. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O smelled a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
