A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the vehicles registration to be expired of March 2024. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. Upon approach, R/O was immediately met with a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, two open half-empty bottles of wine were located. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was not registered. The check also revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license with no status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended operator's permit in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION PRESENT IN MOTOR VEHICLE CONTAINING FIREARM | 21:52:00 | 250310000679 | R/O and A/O responded to 300 H Street NE for a call of a person with a firearm inside of a vehicle. While on scene, R/O approached the vehicle in question and advised the Suspect to step out to which he complied. A/O asked the Suspect if there any weapons inside of the vehicle. The Suspect stated there was a .22 caliber rifle inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a gun bag containing a shotgun was found. CSS responded and processed the scene. A pump shotgun, bolt action rifle, 100 rounds of 12 gauge and .22LR ammunition were found in the rear seat floorboard. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated individuals tore down two paper images and damaged the office doorframe. The Investigations Division will continue to investigate. | |

R/O conducted an administrative search of the Suspect's property and recovered a magazine containing five rounds of 9mm ammunition. Upon waking up the Suspect the R/O observed a bag with a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana inside. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant for failure to appear out of the District of Columbia Superior Court. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NE. Upon approach to the vehicle, R/O noticed a strong odor of marijuana and a feint odor of alcohol. When R/O asked the Suspect to exit to vehicle, the vehicle sped off traveling westbound from the Unit Block of H Street NE. CIS was notified for further investigation. | |
PERMIT SUSPENDED + DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 16:48:00 | 250308000655 | R/O observed a vehicle with a nonfunctioning brake light in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, A/O observed a container consistent with an alcoholic beverage on the passenger side back seat. Also, A/O smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license in District of Columbia with no valid permit status in Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
