A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Salvadorian passport reveled no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The WALES/NCIC inquiry also revealed the Suspect was subject to an active warrant out of the District of Columbia and confirmed by USCP Communications. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed the tags belong to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of I Street SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a smell consistent with cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
