R/O made contact with the driver whose speech was heavily slurred. R/O subsequently conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of H Street SE. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search incident to arrest, R/O discovered two (2) small bags containing a yellowish-white rock-like substance. CSS responded to prisoner processing and tested the substance, which returned positive for cocaine. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING- PROPERTY DAMAGE | 15:46:00 | 260312000731 | R/O responded to the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE for the report of a hit and run. Once on scene the Complainant stated while driving in the 600 Block of First Street NE, a vehicle crossed into their lane and struck the front of their vehicle. The Suspect vehicle fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. |
