CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, INCOMMODING 10:21:00 250305000602 R/O responded to a House Office Building for a report of an active demonstration. R/O observed multiple Suspects chanting, yelling and sitting on the floor. The Suspects were warned three times to cease and desist demonstration activities and failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 3:06:00 250305000597 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Third Street SW for a report of a traffic accident. R/O approached the Suspect and smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects breath. R/O also observed a half empty vodka bottle in the Suspects driver door pocket. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 13:01:00 250305000607 R/O observed a vehicle with heavy window tint traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of M Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 Block of Van Street SE. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
VANDALISM DESTROY/INJURE/DEFACE/DAMAGE PROPERTY OR REAL PROPERTY 9:45:00 250305000600 R/O observed derogatory statements written in chalk on the sidewalk in the 400 Block of Delaware Avenue NE (Lower Senate Park). A canvass of the area for the Suspect and Witnesses were met with negative results.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES + POSSESSION OF BB GUN 14:22:00 250304000590 R/O was alerted by A/O of a Suspect in the Lower Senate Park with what appeared to be a pistol in their possession. The Suspect was stopped and investigation revealed the Suspect was in possession of a pistol-shaped self-defense mace spray gun. CSS responded to recover the weapon and process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was contacted and will continue to investigate.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 22:27:00 250304000595 R/O observed the Suspect engage in several verbal outbursts during the Joint Session of Congress at the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect was directed to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to comply. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES + POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE POSSESSING A FIREARM ON CAPITOL GROUNDS 9:12:00 250304000588 R/O observed the Suspect place a backpack through the X-ray screening post in a House Office Building ADA Door. R/O observed an apparent handgun on the X-ray monitor. The Suspect was detained by A/O, while R/O conducted a physical searh of the backpack. R/O discovered a handgun with a 15 round capacity magazine loaded with 13 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and conducted an inquiry with MPD Gun Registration Unit which revealed the Suspect has an active Concealed Carry License for the District of Columbia, and the firearm has a valid registration.
NO PERMIT 17:30:00 250303000584 R/O observed a vehicle with non-illuminating rear brake lights at the traffic light at Second Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) FELON IN POSSESSION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE 0:38:00 250303000572 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 Block of H Street NE fail to maintain its lane by driving over a lane divider. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland Drivers Permit revealed a suspended status through Maryland, with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a pistol with a high-capacity magazine loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition was located within the center console. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was contacted and confirmed through MPD's gun registry that the Suspect did not have a firearm registered to him, nor a license to carry in the District of Columbia. Additionally, a law enforcement database check revealed that the Suspect had previously been convicted of a felony.
NO PERMIT 15:37:00 250303000581 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling southbound in the 500 Block of First Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
