FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 10:43:00 251107003411 R/O observed a vehicle suddenly stop in traffic in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. WALES/NCIC checks revealed the registration belonged to another vehicle and the Suspect had an extraditable warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:04:00 251106003404 R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the Unit Block of First Street NE. The vehicle pulled over and parked in the Unit Block of First Street SE. R/O conducted at traffic stop at that same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended New York license and no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - DISRUPT GATHERING 12:46:00 251106003402 R/O observed an individual utilizing a megaphone to disrupt a press conference. R/O advised the individual of the rules and regulations regarding their actions. The individual increased their volume and continued to disrupt the press conference. R/O gave warnings to cease and desist their disruptive behavior but the individual refused to comply. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 19:56:00 251105003399 R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 Block of Second Street NE traveling without its taillights illuminated. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the driver had a Maryland Identification Card with no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
DEFACE PRIVATE/PUBLIC PROPERTY 17:30:00 251105003397 R/O was on patrol on the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building when they discovered an information sign with stickers covering it. After a further canvass of the area, multiple more signs were found with stickers affixed to them. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
POSSESSION PROHIBITED WEAPON + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 7:28:00 251104003385 R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed an illegally parked vehicle in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue NE. R/O-1 & 2 noticed a rifle case inside the vehicle and requested a gun detection dog. Metropolitan Police Department responded with a K9, which alerted on the drivers side door. A search of the vehicle revealed thirty-seven (37) 12-gauge shotgun shells, a bow with multiple arrows, multiple knives, a machete, and a pair of brass knuckles. As the Suspect returned to the vehicle, a WALES/NCIC check was conducted and returned with no wants or warrants. The Suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 11:05:00 251104003387 R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license in Maryland and no permit in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 12:28:00 251104003389 R/O observed a individual who seemed agitated and upset approaching the entrance of a Senate Office Building. R/O made contact with the individual at the same location. While the R/O was conducting his investigation, the Suspect stated that he wanted to speak with the Member Of Congress and made threatening statements towards the member. Officers on scene recognized the Suspect from a BOLO flyer. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS conducted a custodial interview while in Headquarters.
TRAFFIC - DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUCENCE (DUI) 3:10:00 251102003372 R/O, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Second Street NW with the driver asleep at the wheel. R/O woke up the driver and conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. R/O observed the driver had glassy and red eyes and could detect a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the drivers breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE (DUI) + RECKLESS DRIVING POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 0:40:00 251102003368 R/O while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW with no headlights activated. The vehicle sped through the intersection of 3rd Street and Independence Avenue at a high rate of speed with no headlights initiated. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O observed the driver with glassy eyes and could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. The driver slurred their speech and had to repeat themselves multiple times for clear answers to R/Os questions. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a bottle of Whiskey that was more than halfway full and opened.
