RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - MISDEMEANOR + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- FIRST OFFENSE LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 10:57:00 260227000593 R/O observed a vehicle in the 900 Block of South Capitol Street SE with the passenger side window being covered with a piece of plastic obstructing the driver's vision. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed a stolen tag. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle. R/O later observed several small pieces of a green, leafy substance on the Suspect's lap, consistent in appearance to Marijuana. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance inside the center console, and a container in the drivers side cup holder with a reddish liquid that emanated an odor consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage.
DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 2:21:00 260228000591 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of H Street NW displaying an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. Upon approach of the vehicle, RO observed that the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:14:00 260227000589 R/O observed a scooter traveling southbound in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW pass through a red signal at the intersection of Louisiana and New Jersey Avenues NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 10:26:00 260227000574 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE with temporary tag with a fraudulent expiration date. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the vehicle tag was expired. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland operators permit and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON - OTHER 16:24:00 260227000584 R/O observed an individual enter a door of a Senate Office Building and placed their belongings through the x-ray machine. R/O observed two bladed items on the x-ray screen. Further investigation revealed there were two three-inch knives. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 0:44:00 260227000572 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 400 Block of Independence Avenue SW drive through a solid red traffic signal at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. While speaking with the driver, R/O smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath along with exhibiting glassy and watery eye and slowed speech. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 15:43:00 260227000582 R/O observed an individual enter a door of a Library of Congress Building and placed their personal items through the x-ray machine. R/O observed what appeared to be ammunition on the x-ray screen. An administrative search of the individuals personal items revealed ten (10) rounds of .38-caliber ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS and IOS conducted a custodial interview of the Suspect. A inquiry via the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry ammunition in the District of Columbia.
THEFT (THEFT OF PROPERTY) 8:00:00 260226000559 R/O responded to a room in a House Office Building for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated a bag filled with tools was stolen from inside a secured storage area between February 25, 2026 at 1400 hours and February 26, 2026, at 0600 hours. A search for the property was conducted with negative results. CSS responded to the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT II 12:00:00 260226000565 R/O responded to a room of a House Office Building for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated the Congressional Guest Book was missing from the podium in the room. A review of the video surveillance security footage revealed an individual removing the book from the podium on February 26, 2026 at 0618 hours. All attempts to locate the Suspect and the property were met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 16:42:00 260226000569 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 400 Block of Third Street SE with expired tags. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle tags revealed no registration on file. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Fifth and D Streets SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
