| THEFT (THEFT OF PROPERTY) | 8:00:00 | 260226000559 | R/O responded to a room in a House Office Building for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated a bag filled with tools was stolen from inside a secured storage area between February 25, 2026 at 1400 hours and February 26, 2026, at 0600 hours. A search for the property was conducted with negative results. CSS responded to the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE | 15:23:00 | 260225000553 | R/O while working a security post observed an individual enter a House Office Building for screening. After the individual placed their bag on the conveyor belt, R/O and A/O were alerted to what appeared to be a firearm on the x-ray screen. A subsequent search of the bag revealed a 17 round magazine -- no firearm. A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE, POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE | 10:58:00 | 260224000530 | R/O observed an individual enter the North Door of the U.S. Capitol Police Headquarters and placed their bag through the x-ray machine. An image on the x-ray screen appeared to be a loaded magazine. An administrative search of the Individual's bag revealed a magazine containing sixteen rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition. S/A responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the individuala's firearm was stored at their hotel. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit revealed the individual did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. | |
| UNLAWFUL CONDUCT CAPITOL GROUNDS | 22:07:00 | 260225000544 | R/O observed A/O remove an individual from the House Gallery during the State of the Union address. R/O was informed by a Witness that the individual stood up several times during the President's State of the Union address and was ask to sit down before being escorted out of the gallery. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DISORDERLY CONDUCT | 15:01:00 | 260224000536 | R/O responded to the 200 Block of C Street SW to conduct a welfare check of an individual lying on the ground adjacent to the C Street entrance of an office building. During the course of the investigation, the individual produced a lighter and attempted to set their belongings on fire. R/O ordered the individual to cease their activity but the individual failed to comply. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY, RESISTING ARREST, ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER | 18:38:00 | 260223000523 | R/O and A/O-1 were on routine patrol in the 1000 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. While on patrol, they were advised by A/O-2 that he was flagged down by the manager of a Hotel, located in the 800 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. The manager advised that there was an unwanted individual in the hotel. R/O and A/O1 responded to the scene. Upon approach of the Suspect, R/O noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect. R/O also noticed bloodshot and glassy eyes as well as heavily slurred speech. R/O and A/O1 attempted to explain to the Suspect that they were not welcome on the premises but the Suspect refused to leave. The Suspect abruptly got up and moved towards R/O. R/O attempted to maintain distance and the Suspect raised their hands abruptly. R/O and A/O1 attempted to detain the Suspect in handcuffs but the Suspect attempted to resist by pulling away and went limp on the floor. The Suspect refused to follow the commands of R/O and continued to struggle. R/O, A/O1 and A/O2 successfully placed handcuffs on the Suspect after the struggle. While awaiting transport of the Suspect, the Suspect attempted to kick officers and resisted to provide any basic information about themselves. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During processing, the Suspect continued to resist and comply with basic instructions. The Suspect became aggressive, standing up and waving their arm around. During this moment, the Suspect struck one of the officers in the face with an open hand. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 13:36:00 | 260223000518 | R/O observed a vehicle turn right disobeying a "NO TURN ON RED" sign in the intersection of South Capitol Street and Potomac Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 Block of First Street SE. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | 1:28:00 | 260222000512 | R/O observed a vehicle come to an abrupt stop at the Unit Block of H Street NE. R/O continued to observe the vehicle travel Eastbound violating multiple traffic rules such as drifting between lanes, speeding, stopping past marked roadway lines, and lane changing without utilizing turn signals. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of H Street NE. R/O could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from S1's breath and their eyes had a glassy appearance. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF | 3:48:00 | 260221000506 | R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with no lights illuminated commit multiple traffic offenses. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. RO detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
