CARRY PISTOL W/O LIC - FELONY + RESISTING ARREST POSS OF UNREG AMMUNITION, POSS OF UNREG FIREARM, UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 14:42:00 250121000186 R/O received a lookout from USCP Communications for an armed suicidal individual driving a gray vehicle bearing Massachusetts tags. R/O observed an unoccupied vehicle matching the description on the 100 Block of East Capitol Street. A MPD Firearm Detection K9 sweep resulted in a positive hit, indicating firearm parts were present in the vehicle. A subject matching the lookout was observed walking back to the vehicle and stopped. The Suspect then attempted to put his hands in his pockets and was restrained by multiple officers on scene. The Suspect resisted officers by locking his arms to his sides and was then placed in handcuffs. A firearm was recovered in a holster in the Suspect's front waistline with a magazine containing eight (8) rounds of 9mm ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS contacted the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit, which revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm, or ammunition, in the District of Columbia.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O LIC - FELONY + RESISTING ARREST POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESTION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 12:15:00 250119000159 R/O and A/O responded to the intersection of First Street and Louisiana Avenue NW for the report of a traffic accident. Once on the scene, R/O observed that the Suspect struck a fence barrier at that same location. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. The Suspect admitted to having a firearm in the vehicle. CSS responded to the scene and conducted an inventory search of the vehicle. During the search, a firearm and two magazines loaded with seven (7) and six (6) rounds of .45 caliber ammunition were found. CIS contacted the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit, which revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm, or ammunition, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (CPWL) + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 22:12:00 250111000088 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of the Unit Block of D Street NW. A tag check of the vehicle in WALES/NCIC revealed that the tags did not belong to the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage and a Glock Model 23 handgun equipped with a twenty-two round high-capacity magazine. The magazine contained nineteen rounds, with one in the chamber, inserted into the magazine well. A check through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit revealed that the Suspect does not have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and interviewed the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES + CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL IN A PROHIBITED LOCATION 7:29:00 241212003166 R/O observed the Suspect enter the screening area and place their bag on the X-ray machine at the West Ground Door of a Library of Congress building. During the process, R/O was alerted to a firearm on their screen. Upon further inspection of the Suspect's bag, R/O located a 9mm handgun loaded with one round in the chamber and 10 rounds in the magazine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS responded and interviewed the Suspect. CSS responded and processed the scene.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 9:47:00 241122003006 R/O observed a vehicle parked illegally in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking to the Suspect, RO observed a box of 9mm handgun ammunition in plain view inside of the vehicle. The Suspect was removed from the vehicle without incident. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a permit to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. TAS and CIS were notified.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 11:10:00 2.4112E+11 R/O observed what appeared to be a magazine with ammunition inside of a handbag on the x-ray screen at the Second Street Door of the Ford House Office Building. An administrative search of the handbag confirmed a magazine loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS conducted an inquiry with the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit, which confirmed the Suspect holds a license for concealed carry through the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM 5:16:00 2.41109E+11 R/O observed a vehicle straddling lanes from the 500 to 700 Blocks of North Capitol Street NE. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. The Suspect displayed what appeared to be a law enforcement badge. R/O inquired if the Suspect was armed. The Suspect replied in the affirmative and stated there was a firearm inside of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC inquiry along with a District of Columbia Gun Registry inquiry, revealed the handgun was not registered, nor did the Suspect have a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. CSS responded to the scene and recovered a .40 caliber handgun loaded with 7 rounds of ammunition. CIS was notified and conducted the investigation. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION PROHIBITED WEAPON + DISORDERLY CONDUCT - CAUSE UNREASONABLE FEAR UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 12:22:00 2.41105E+11 R/O observed the Suspect enter the South screening facility of the Capitol Visitor Center. R/O observed a flare gun and torch in the Suspect's coat, after it was placed on the x-ray machine. R/O also found a glass bottle containing a liquid consistent with Vodka and a container emitting a strong gasoline odor inside of the Suspect's backpack during screening. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS & TAS responded to interview the Suspect. CSS responded to process the scene.
CARRY PISTOL W/O LIC (MISD) + POSS. OF UNREGISTERED AMMO POSS. OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSS. OF A FIREARM OF DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS POSS. OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE 17:47:00 2.41016E+11 R/O observed a vehicle driving eastbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW with no visible tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Upon approach, R/O discovered two counterfeit temporary Florida tags. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags came back with no registration on file. The Suspect was told to step out of the vehicle so it could be towed, after which the Suspect stated that they were carrying a firearm. The Suspect was removed from the vehicle and a firearm loaded with a high capacity magazine with nine rounds of ammunition was discovered in a holster on their hip. The Metropolitan Police Department gun registry unit confirmed that the Suspect did not possess a District of Columbia carry license, nor was the firearm and ammunition registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene and CIS responded to interview the Suspect.
CARRY PISTOL W/OUT LIC, UUV, POSS OF UNREG AMMUNITION, POSS OF UNREG FIREARM, RECEIVING STOLEN PROP $1000 OR MORE, LEAVE AFTER COLLIDING - PROP DAMAGE ABSCONDER (CUSTODY ORDER), FLEE FROM POLICE 16:11:00 2.41E+11 R/O monitored a Metropolitan Police Dept radio transmission for a vehicle involved in an armed carjacking. R/O observed that vehicle traveling in the 500 Block of East Capitol Street at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic and passing through solid red signals. The vehicle crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 17th St. and Independence Avenue SE and fled. R/O attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The Suspects drove to 22nd St and Independence Avenue SE and bailed out of the vehicle and foot pursuit ensued. Suspect 1 apprehended in grassy area of Anacostia Riverwalk. A/O observed Suspect 2 running under Whitney Young Bridge with a handgun. A/O ordered Suspect 2 to drop the gun. Suspect 2 dislodged the magazine of the gun and threw the magazine and gun into the river. Suspect 2 apprehended. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects revealed an active arrest warrant held by DC Superior Ct. Suspects transported to HQ for processing. CIS notified.
