CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG AMMO - MISD TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNLAWFUL TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARM OBLITERATE, REMOVE, CHANGE, OR ALTER THE SERIAL NUMBER OF A FIREARM 15:05:00 230601001246 R/O was in the 500 Block of C Street NE when he observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Sixth Street NE with no front tag. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the rear tag revealed an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed no valid operators permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest. R/O and A/O conducted an inventory search of the vehicle and discovered a handgun with an obliterated serial number and a magazine loaded with four live rounds of ammunition. CSS-1 and CSS-2 responded to process the scene. CIS and TAS responded to the scene and determined the handgun was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL WHILE IMPAIRED CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT UNREG AMMO - MISD 11:33:00 230524001164 R/O observed a vehicle southbound in the 100 Block of Third Street SW with heavy window tint. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the tag that came back to a different vehicle. The Suspect vehicle continued to travel eastbound on Independence Avenue SW with noticeable speed over the posted speed limit and multiple traffic violations. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana and also observed a marijuana cigarette in the center console. While speaking with R/O, the Suspect admitted to having smoked marijuana earlier in the morning before driving. A/O observed a firearm in the Suspect's rear passenger seat. The Suspect presented the R/O with a copy of his conceal carry permit through the District of Columbia. S/A confirmed with the MPD Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect's permit was valid. R/O noticed the individual had glassy, bloodshot eyes. SFST's were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the vehicle. Additionally, during inventory of the vehicle CSS located multiple scales, an empty box of 9mm ammunition, loose .40 caliber rounds, multiple bags containing marijuana residue, Oxycodone pills and another 9mm magazine.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED FIREARM UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINE 15:23:00 230512001061 R/O while performing an administrative search at a door of a Senate Office Building, discovered a firearm and a fifteen round magazine containing four rounds of ammunition. The Metropolitan Police Department gun registration unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. S/A responded and will continue to investigate.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNREG AMMO - MISD 05:35:00 230508000997 R/O was at the Longworth South Capitol Street Door when an individual entered the building and placed their bag through the X-ray machine. R/O observed an image of what appeared to be a gun from that same bag. R/O conducted a physical inspection of the bag and observed a firearm inside along with a ten round capacity magazine loaded with 4 rounds. An inquiry through the MPD - Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a concealed firearm in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS-1 and CSS-2 responded and processed the scene. S/A responded and continued the investigation.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNREG AMMO - MISD PPW - A - MISD POSSESSION OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE. 19:53:00 230501000936 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags in the 400 Block of Third Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of E Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended through Virginia, with no valid status through the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a backpack containing a handgun, two high-capacity ammunition feeding devices, and ammunition was discovered. A/O responded and processed the scene. A WALES/NCIC check of the firearm revealed it was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was unable to provide R/O with a valid District of Columbia license to carry the firearm. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESION OF UNREGISTRED AMMUNITION UNLAWFUL CONDUCT CAPITOL. 10:00:00 230419000820 R/O, while conducting a routine security inspection at Offsite Screening Delivery Center, discovered a loaded firearm with a magazine containing five rounds inside of a backpack belonging to the Suspect. An inquiry from the MPD Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry, nor was the weapon registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and recovered the weapon. S/A interviewed the Suspect and will continue to investigate.
STALKING. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE CARRY DANGEROUS WEAPON-FELONY UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD 12:19:00 230307000392 S/A-1 and S/A-2 responded to the 700 Block of 6th Street, SE regarding a stalking investigation. Upon arrival, R/O confirmed the Suspect entered the Complainant's residence without permission. The Agents and Assisting Officers entered the residence and placed the Suspect under arrest. R/O asked the Suspect if he was armed and he replied he had a firearm inside of his vehicle. The Suspect gave consent to search his vehicle. A/O-1, A/O-2, and A/O-3 responded and processed both the residence and the vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed a rifle, three large capacity magazines, and several hundred rounds of ammunition. An inquiry from the MPD Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry, nor was the weapon registered, in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
UUV - FELONY POSSESION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNICATION FEEDING DEVICE FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - $100 16:45:00 230124000134 R/O observed a vehicle stopped at a solid red light, in the eastbound lanes of the Unit Block of D Street NW, matching the description of a vehicle in a BOLO out of Prince Georges County, MD., for an armed carjacking. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle, which confirmed it was the same vehicle taken in an armed carjacking. The Suspected vehicle turned into the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW and began to flee at a high rate of speed at which time R/O initiated a pursuit. The vehicle continued traveling at a high rate of speed through several streets and tunnels, crossing in and out of lanes of traffic, with no regard to public safety. In the 300 Block of First Street SE, the Suspects intentionally struck multiple USCP marked vehicles and caused injury to a USCP Officer. The Suspects then exited the vehicle and fled on foot northbound in the 300 Block of Third Street SE. They were located hiding inside a freezer in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, a firearm containing ammunition and a large capacity feeding device was recovered from the Suspects. A WALES/NCIC check determined the weapon was also stolen from Prince George's County, MD. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the driver revealing the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. S/A Larity (CIS) responded to the scene and conducted a check to see if either Suspect had a District of Columbia gun registration, which was met with negative results. R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to process the scene. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (lg)
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG AMMO - MISD UNREG FIREARM - MISD TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS TRAFFIC - FAILURE TO OBEY POLICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE 02:45:00 230122000119 R/O observed a vehicle with temporary tags displaying expired registration in the Unit Block of First Street NE. A traffic stop was attempted at First and E Street NW. The Suspect failed to comply for the traffic stop. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW and the Suspect exited the driver side of the vehicle and fled. The Suspect failed to follow verbal commands to stop running. A witness told R/O they observed the Suspect throw a gun to the ground. A/O arrived on scene and secured the firearm. Shortly afterwards, the Suspect was stopped in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW, where he was positively identified by the R/O. R/O-2 responded to the scene and recovered a 9mm extended magazine, and 39 loose rounds of ammunition laying on the sidewalk where the Suspect fled. R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department the Suspect did not have a license to carry in the District of Columbia. (tc/eb)
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) 23:08:00 221114001760 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITATION; TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red traffic signal at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Virginia Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Washington Avenue, SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. The Suspect advised R/O there was a loaded firearm in the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. While conducting a search of the vehicle, a handgun with a loaded magazine was recovered. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
