| CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG AMMO - MISD UNREG FIREARM - MISD TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS TRAFFIC - FAILURE TO OBEY POLICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE | 02:45:00 | 230122000119 | R/O observed a vehicle with temporary tags displaying expired registration in the Unit Block of First Street NE. A traffic stop was attempted at First and E Street NW. The Suspect failed to comply for the traffic stop. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW and the Suspect exited the driver side of the vehicle and fled. The Suspect failed to follow verbal commands to stop running. A witness told R/O they observed the Suspect throw a gun to the ground. A/O arrived on scene and secured the firearm. Shortly afterwards, the Suspect was stopped in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW, where he was positively identified by the R/O. R/O-2 responded to the scene and recovered a 9mm extended magazine, and 39 loose rounds of ammunition laying on the sidewalk where the Suspect fled. R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department the Suspect did not have a license to carry in the District of Columbia. (tc/eb) | |
| CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) | 23:08:00 | 221114001760 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITATION; TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red traffic signal at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Virginia Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Washington Avenue, SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. The Suspect advised R/O there was a loaded firearm in the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. While conducting a search of the vehicle, a handgun with a loaded magazine was recovered. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was attempted in the 1200 block of Potomac Avenue, SE. The Suspect refused to stop, striking a vehicle in the intersection of Seventh Street and Virginia Avenue, SE. The Suspect's vehicle came to a stop before the intersection of First and M Streets, SE. Suspect 1 and Suspect 2 exited the vehicle and fled on foot. While pursuing Suspect 2, A/O observed a firearm with an extended magazine in the Suspect's hand, before he discarded it into a sewer. While conducting a WALES/NCIC check of Suspect 2, it revealed a prior felony conviction. A responding Metropolitan Police Department Officer observed Suspect 1 attempting to hide a firearm with an extended magazine before dropping the firearm. An additional firearm was found in the area of the scene. Suspect 1 and Suspect 2 were both placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O recovered a loaded firearm from the front passenger floorboard. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O made contact with the driver, and during the investigation was advised that there were weapons inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in multiple guns and rounds of ammunition being discovered. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon arrival, R/O observed a Suspect matching the description. R/O searched the Suspect for weapons, which was met with negative results. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect returned an extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O located a person matching the description in the same location. Upon approach, R/O immediately detained the Suspect, and recovered a weapon and a magazine loaded with seven rounds of ammunition from the Suspect's person. The Suspect did not have a permit to carry in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

During the traffic crash investigation, the Suspect advised R/O that there was a handgun on the vehicle's center console in plain view. R/O observed a black, holstered handgun in that location. Multiple rounds of ammunition and a large capacity magazine were also discovered in the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon arrival, R/O observed a vehicle off the roadway in the unit block of D Street, NW, and the Suspect standing outside of the vehicle. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O recovered a partially-full tequila bottle in the backseat on the passenger-side floorboard. | |
| UCSA - POSSESSION (OTHER) | 10:58:00 | 220412000476 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF A BB GUN; TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE, with expired rear tags displayed. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O discovered the expired tags belonged to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid tags, and was not licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Upon an inventory search of the Suspect, R/O discovered a pack of cigarettes with a glass pipe protruding from the side, and a baggie containing a white, powdery substance. R/O conducted a vehicle inventory and discovered a black, inoperable Glock 19 BB gun between the driver's seat and center console. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. Test results of the white, powdery substance were positive for Fentanyl. |
